When I started door dash a year and a half ago I could make $125 in 7 hours all day every day. Now, I struggle to make $50 using the pathetic doordash. Thank goodness for spark and ubereats.
Oof.... that's not even $20/hr. My goal is $25-$30/hr. If I do 7 hrs during peak hours I should definitely make at least $200. Also depends on time of day/day of week/market.
It’s just hit or miss with DD for me. Today I did 3 orders in 45 mins and made $28.25… then not another order for 20 mins…I don’t understand them sometimes
@@sandyimage1598 and the app shows very busy but your not getting anything... Lol. Yeah doordash is starting to really screw with their cherry pickers. I've noticed now I'm they don't send me me as an many decent orders anymore.
If you set up a 7-Eleven rewards account, all they need is your phone number, you can get any size coffee at 7-Eleven for a $1.61 after-tax. Save a buck a day - it adds up!
Only DD knows how many bad trips get turned down per day. 1 store owner I know says sometimes they make food orders that never get picked up because rashers won't take them. DD needs to put a distance limit like every restaurant in the world.
Not really if you don’t take the order you don’t go those miles. It’s that simple so honestly, they’re defeating the purpose you actually really think people are going to take those. I walk in the restaurants every day because I do this full-time and see peoples orders just sitting and then I go back to the same restaurant an hour later and I still see that same order sitting on the shelf, I don’t know where you’re getting free money for them. Yes they have a lot of drivers but 90% of those drivers don’t go long miles if it’s not worth it.
Doordash has a hierarchy of drivers. If you are a dedicated doordash star like me they reward. I have the video proof on my channel, it can't be denied. Great job, here to max out the algorithm for you.
As soon as I put something in an app to be delivered, I see all the extra fees and then the fact I need to tip... that is what makes me go get it myself.

Nice but you know what all the service fees that you’re seeing on the app we don’t get none of those at all that’s for you to use the platform. That’s basically what you’re paying for the tip is for us to let us know that we did a good job, or to appreciate our time and service so good for you get off your lazy ass and go get the food yourself. You’re probably one of those people that would use that and falsely claim they never received their food.
I don't think many people think about how much they pay extra on food, just like interest they pay on credit cards. Unfortunately/Fortunately I don't see this changing, and most will continue to charge their credit card even in an economic downturn. Might see more McDonald's orders if that happens, but the apps will still be hot.
Of course people are lazy, but if they want to pay me to do that, go ahead and pay my bills I have three credit cards I only use one for gas strictly for gas just pay them off. You gotta work to make money to pay your bills.
Hahahaha I had an order come through yesterday for ONE 2 LITER OF PEPSI. Best part was it was 33 miles ONE WAY , and a .90 tip. I just don’t get people. Fun to watch thanks.
They are cheap, lazy and expect the shit for free the sooner you figure that out the better off you’re going to be now I will take some shitty order sometimes because I am trying to get top dasher because it’s over saturated in my market and the surrounding markets that I go to That’s why I want top dasher. It just makes more sense in my market so I can actually get out there to make money but lowball offers like completely garbage I will not take.
I’ve been doordashing for 2 weeks now, I average $250-$300 a week. Not bad for part time but it’s not a full time gig by any means. Atleast not in my area. About $50 a day
Too dasher and diamond program sucks…I have to do multi apps now a day to make good money. I do 3 apps and sometimes struggle and then some days it’s poping… I just leave instant cart and Uber eats on all day and take only good orders…while I’m out I turn on my doordash and if I don’t get a good order after the first one,then I just go home. I live 5 mins from all stores in my area so if the first offer from instant cart or Uber eats isn’t good, I don’t leave. Today I got a $13 door dash offer and left…delivered it and got 2 following it…did 3 in 45 mins for $28.25…then nothing and I turned it off while I was still at home. I realized if I stay out I will want to take trash orders so I don’t “waste my time”…I’m just not doing trash orders…I’ve just got tired of waiting in a taco bell parking lot for hella long only to get a $5 for 12 miles…I’m cool.I only do gig work as a side hustle and not full time otherwise I think I would have a different option of these apps.
I knew you'd be Top Dasher one day, Lou. Why didn't you invite us to the ceremonies? When I became Top Dasher they had a parade down Bay Shore with a special appearance by Peter Lemongello! I was given a wreath made out of late delivered flowers, and we all had cold Wingstop at Gardiner Manor Park on a bench.
They gave me cancelled McDonald's fries and a cold shoulder, and a whole lotta no tip trips which I declined. My AR has never been so low. I'd like some lemon jello.
Drug dealers use the door dash bags to transport in San Francisco. I saw one just wrap his arms around his bag when he saw me, like i was going to take his fentynal!. One was in my building keeping me from walking up the stairs. He looked like he ate too much lumpia. He had a door dash bag. He talked shit to his delivery apartment about me, and how he was disrespectful, it was apartment 207 at 360 Hyde San Francisco.
And I feel your pain with the headlights. I have tons of people that do that all the time I have eventually move and go elsewhere and I know what you mean about the big black spot in the middle of your eyes. It sucks.😂
I stopped the multi-app game over a month ago, with DD being my sole app now. Stress level is down, profitability is up. I seem to have reached the opposite conclusion than L&M with my "scientific" study. :) AR: 18%, CR 98%, LOP ☑

Christy and I have been Top Dashers now for 11 months and we have never seen the bad orders you have seen this night. Never? Perhaps it is our market. Who knows! This night was bazaar.
I keep hearing that multi apping is the way to go. Please explain how you can make money on these other apps when they’re never busy I do DoorDash and I do Uber eats. Sometimes I turn on Uber eats and I can sit there for three hours and not get a single order from Uber eats it’s all from DoorDash GrubHub I wanted to drive for them. I did my deal on the app and I can’t even finish scanning my license because somethings screwed up with their app so obviously I can’t work for them until I finish setting that up. I use DoorDash only last week I worked 38 hours And I made 600 bucks with expenses and taxes. It was a little over $500 that I was left with I’d take $500 a week pay for under 40 hours all day long and if your caught multiapping you’re probably gonna end up getting deactivated
Many drivers overlook that factor, the area that they're working. That is critical as to the offers that come to your phone. You want an area with a good number of higher end restaurants but limited fast food places.
I love the content but there is some misconception about the top Dasher program. I heard Mary say on one of the orders there was no diamond that popped up. The only thing top Dasher is good for now is dash now. There is no more priority for top dashers. That has been stripped away and if you go to the doordash program you can see that they removed that from the benefits of top Dasher. Top Dasher has been replaced by the diamond program. If you have diamond in your area they "say" you get priority on higher paying orders if you're acceptance rate is 50% and then again at 70%, you get a higher priority. The diamond program has been in our area for about 6 months and I can tell you there is not a nickel's worth of difference with the diamond program or without. You still get the same junk it just doesn't have a diamond. Keep up the good work love the content.
They send me $4 base pay plus $2 tip and call it a high paying order. It's actually lower than my Top Dasher average of $8. Before I made top dasher my average was $10.
Three straight lines up at the top of your app kind of to the right side, click on that and then you'll see the options for pausing your dash among a lot of other things. You can pause for 30 minutes
apparently not bird people. Conure....Con-Your I have a green cheek Conure. I'm a bird person since cats make me not breath. I only DD. Lunch time usually 2 hours and generally do 5 orders. avg 18$ an hour. I'm thisclose to top dasher and I don't take many crap orders UNLESS it's on my way. Mornings I do IC 3 or 4 batches and those are usually small "shop only" unless it's an excellent delivery and then lunch time DD. Weekly I'm working no more than 25 hrs making anywhere from 350$ to 450$ a week - which is my goal I use to kill myself working retail 30+ hours a week dragging myself home for peanuts!
You guys should take that $0.25 and get a gumball from the gumball machine to chop on while you wait for the next order. Or maybe use it to pay for five minutes of parking while waiting twenty minutes for an order
Nice hair color Mary! People definitely pay a premium to outsource their food. It’s a time saver for most people. Even if it’s just 20mins. In Seattle WA at least people love ordering food and more so during December and January
I do doordash in Nashville. They made me a top Dasher but it's hard for me to get my acceptance rate over 70%. I live right in the middle of downtown so I get to sit in my home and wait for orders and I get to go back home like every 45 minutes
Doordash has been down so often this past few days. Makes me not want to even turn it on. Give them time to get their crap together. Lol I know, that'll never happen 🤣

I edited the song down to 24 seconds. I use this feature in premier pro which cuts it for me, and it cut that part out :( In the next video ill see if I can get that part back.
Food delivery is slow due to covid not being so prevalent any more and being so close to xmas. So people out shopping spending money on xmas items and picking up thier own food to save money. However the lunch shift is pretty good bc people order when they are at work. Just my two cents😅
Seems to me no one is taking the BB&B because Louis kept getting them. It also looked like someone was accepting one of the stacks and in assigning one or two of the stacks and then those unassigned ones were getting reattached to another order from there. Just me thinking out loud here. I may have no clue what is happening. Thanks for sharing your fun. 🎉
I think top dasher only means something when it’s very busy then it can give you the good orders out of the tuns available because it was very quiet. It didn’t really have anything to give you
Just so everybody knows, Top dasher has no rewards when it comes to orders, it’s only “perk” is being able to dash anytime. Other than that Top Dasher has absolutely no rewards and doesn’t do anything lol
Yeah I'm pretty sure everybody here knows that. it is such a shame that they take such advantage of new drivers in this way. Hopefully the ones that fall for it wakes up real quick
I was Top Dasher for a month and 💎 program hit here at the same time. When my AR was higher I rarely saw the 🗑 $2.50 offers. The downfall of TD and trying to keep a high AR with 💎 was the mediocre order, $12-9 miles, $13-10 miles. They have no hidden tip and can sometimes take up to 45 minutes to complete, killing your hourly earnings. While the offers we're overall better, it wasn't enough to justify maintaining TD status. Dash anytime is a good perk for this reason, in a segmented market good orders frequently move you into different zones and you can 'zone hop' freely whenever you want, reducing the dead miles. With markets more saturated now, being in the LOP is a must to make good money on Doordash.
What is LOP? I’ve been seeing that lately and I couldn’t agree with you more but I have been more consistent instead of sitting remember if your car is rolling you’re making money if your car is sitting you’re not making anything just my two. Cents.
@@bobg3221 no problem buddy it’s the Large Order program. DD will invite you yo join via email and it’s the only way to join. Bigger orders, need bigger bags ( catering bags ), and bigger tips. I can see what you’re saying but me personally, I rather chill in my car watching YT or something ,rather then taking an $3 order or something that’s literally going across the street.
I got top dasher for December, despite that I have a 7% acceptance rate. I multiapp with DD, GH, UE, and Spark all running. No tippers can have interesting behavior. Had one that ordered 15 computers from Walmart split into multiple orders but they bundled it up into one delivery. They were annoyed I had to sort the computers on the ground at the loading dock to scan the right labels in sequence that was indicated on the app and I had to process all the deliveries separately. Did it though b/c the delivery was worth $35 for 1 mile; all base pay. Went back to deliver just one and he was a no tip again (worth $12) and just pretty much stuck his hand out the door and rudely said give me that.
All 15 laptops went to same customer? And they didn't tip anything. Yeah I'd probably of lost my mind. Or took them back to store that's so disrespectful. People just don't have common courtesy at all it seems.
@@tooltime126 Yep; they treated it as 15 different orders b/c the customer ordered it that way due to it being a BF special. So it's just like I was delivering to 15 different customers. Most likely it is a reseller. Have experienced that from the Apple store too; 4 different orders to the same customer just 0.3 miles down the street; and there were 2 other drivers coming in with 4 orders each right after I finished processing the orders I had.
You guys rock! I was just doing Door Dash but because of you I multi app AND my husband and I do this together. I've picked up way to many dog 40 lb dog food bags by myself at Petsmart with NO tip. LOL
A little fun fact for you they never tip you for Petsmart. I don’t know why but I’ve done those before and they never throw in a tip. I don’t know if it’s the customer themselves not tipping or if it’s the store taking the tip or these people just don’t know how to be generous and add the tip. I don’t know every order I’ve gotten from Petsmart I’ve never gotten a tip not even a cash tip from the customer so I no longer take those orders I try to stay away from that store when I’m DoorDashing
I had a Petsmart delivery a couple of months ago that the customer added a $5 tip after I dropped off her 12 live crickets. Maybe she was just happy I got them to her alive lol 😂
I always go see the cats when I go to PetSmart. If I go now, one may go home with me. I lost my sweet Callie in August, and the remaining cat, Hamilton seems lonely.
Hi guys i been top dasher for over 2 years now & i decline those horrible jobs lol only reason its worth it because i have catering or large orders and tips are $35 & higher 😊 & i also do uber at the same time 😂
You can see the items on the widget before you accept, but you can't see the subtotal until after you accept. After $/mile, it's the 2nd thing to look at to determine whether it's likely the order has a hidden tip.
@@TheLongIslandDashExperience Well the shopping was great and easy however I misread the mileage and went through Austin, Tx traffic at 5pm (took 35 min ) decided to go home and took another 50 min to get back ….. was $25 with what I thought was 3 miles , turned out to be 13 miles with traffic … Oops
Worked my first hour today and made $39.75 in 54 minutes. Affluent suburbs. DoorDash had already given me Top Dasher, I only ignored one order that was 13 miles away. Good luck everyone! Nice video... I've only been dashing for a couple of days ... and up until my dashing I was under the impression that people automatically tipped. I learned very quickly that people do not tip ... I find it hard to believe that people find value in being able to have items delivered to them in the comfort of their own home but they don't want to tip. I am starting to feel like non tippers are shooting themselves in the foot as apps like DD are going to have to take care of their drivers better or else it's going to be hard for them to retain people. I enjoy dashing but not being compensated for my time is something that has to be taken into consideration (multi apps) when going onto a platform.
Yeah! I never had my AR hit less than 18% until AR reset. I hit 9% and was not really getting anything good. Today I dashed during lunch and only made $33. For an hour I did not receive anything and I was in a hot spot. I tried getting in the large order program and received an invite but I never got in. I chatted with them and they told me I had to have an AR of 68% so I didn’t qualify. Checked with someone else and they said they’re transitioning from LOF to LO so they’re not doing any on boarding. Therefore, I think I’m just going to stick with ubereats & instacart. Congratulations on weight loss 🎉
