I think I may have hit $200 a couple times during my gig work. Generally my goal is $150 per day and I hit it! That being said. I really want to thank you. Your RU-vid channel has made me feel like I have a work family. People to relate with. That means a lot. You rock!
I've gotten faster with shop and pay especially when it's a place you've been at severals times. I love to get shop and pay as a first order. Sets the tone for the day
66 items for 24.50? Absolutely not. I’ve been getting so much better with Aldi thanks to picking up Instacart recently. But there is always 4-5 items that just take forever to find at Aldi. Plus waiting in line? I’m good but not that good.
You said this better than I could. :) if it’s over 15 items, I’m out. My personal driver profile doesn’t gel internally w/shopping for someone. So that many, no bueno.
I find a lot of shop and pays on doordash have high mileage so that's oen of the reasons I like earn by time so I can dodge them and they don't even come up on my screen b/c there is a nearby zone where the only shop & pay places are CVS, Target & Walgreens, and the adjacent zone has to order from my zone for a traditional grocery store as there's a lot of items that a grocery store carries that Target doesn't. Getting more shorter mileage runs plus the higher base pay on time mode does help a lot on making that mode to be mor eworthwhile in my market. But I focus on Walmart shop & pays and have gotten very efficient on that. I still don't accept shop & pays to certain stores b/c they aren't sorted by aisle and I'm just not having enough orders that are worthwhile that make it worthwhile to learn the store.
You took it! I said "no" on your short, lol. I wouldn't take one for $12.50 for, say, 33 items. That's the problem I have. Do you pay for the paper bags? I keep a bag of plastic bags in my car to shop Aldi...
I've done 60 items in 17 minutes. Definitely would've taken that. Don't like double order aldis unless the items are low. Wish they would show items per customer on both dd and ic
Also you can start the year the first week you save a dollar next 2 dollars whatever week it is through the year that's what you save and so you will have a nice little savings in the end of the year :)
The more I do shop & pay, the faster I get. A lot of the times it’s better than sitting in a restaurant playing iPhone games till the restaurant finishes my order. 🤣🤣🤣
Usually they're great. But sometimes there are things I can't find for the life of me and it turns a 5 minute shopping trip into a 20 minute one. It's typically when there's some sort of beauty products or vitamins/supplements.
I made it to the end. Love your videos. Long time subscriber and gig worker. I started doing Instacart again in my market. It seems to be better base pay and tips than DoorDash, lately. Just way too many Dashers these days and UberEats drivers, in my market!
The way I read the dynamic pay. It's just like peak but it doesn't have an end time so instead of a promo of 2.oo 4 to 8pm it will be dynamic and if they have enough dashers they will stop it. 1 hr in it or 2 hrs
When you do shop and pay the gas cost decreases significantly. I drove 40 miles on Sunday and made $175, mostly shop and pay. I haven’t filled up my tank until today Wednesday. Usually 43 dlls almost the whole week (Nissan Versa) with shop and pay mixed with food delivery.
Can Instacart Gig Men buy gasoline cans and gasoline to deliver to Seniors to fill up their generators for heat and power? Many Seniors need this service.
Made it to the end. Thanks again for the great content... it helped steer out of the DD rut this morning. It's 14 degrees out, snow on the ground and it was a nonstop avalanche of no tip (no trip) or really far away upside down offers. Frustrating to say the least! Our area just got Dash by Time ($12/hr) and decreased base pay ($2) last week (just to add to the frustration).
That’s one thing I do like about shopping for spark. You get all your stuff and you scan one code at the checkout and you go. You don’t have to scan everything. Sometimes they come and check your cart but it’s no biggie.

We all have our favorite spots. Positioning is everything. Dashmart is typically awful here. Thing is, I alienating several good restaurants by staying away. Kinda sucks.
Sound like some generous tippers. So with DoorDash, I have a hard time meeting my times. I walk at a fast pace and find 9 out of 10 items easily but when something is missing or hard to find, say example little debbie snacks the other day, I looked all over the snack isle and it was in the bakery isle or there was some soap in Target that was in the beauty isle instead of the soap isle. Instacart even got me. I non tipper to go a mile had me in a Walmart and I busted my time because there was like 20 people in line and when you're hustling, it always feels like every is going super slow.🤣
if ur a loser like me, an incel and forever single, then get ur CDL and drive OTR. u can live in the truck and won't have to pay any rent. Once u get some experience with another carrier for at least a year, apply to Crete Carriers and u can make some good money. Door Dash just isn't going to pay the bills.

The thing that concerns me about part-timers doing this work is they don’t adequately insure themselves with the proper coverage for rideshare/delivery
I hope you stop supporting delivery driving gig work. I like your personality and I hope you pivot your channel to something else. Delivery driving is liability and one car accident can set you back as many insurance companies won't cover accidents while you are delivering. How many drivers know this. Very little pay, and all the liability is on you. This type of work takes advantage of those who are in the most need and especially with such low tips now days. In addition. How many people know that you are more likely to die delivery driving than working as a police officer? Please teach other hustle skills.

Read DOL Act RIN 1235-AA43 below, it taking effect on March 11, although gig companies will fight it they’ll have to prove to congress that they were not abusing workers, which is obvious they are abusing them. Not relevant to your video but i almost got attacked by a German td doing Amazon flex. Guys outside with his dog unleashed in a residential neighborhood figured he had to be friendly get out my car walk 5 feet he’s barking growling I started screaming at the dog guy runs over I threw the package on the ground and ran to my car. I started cursing at the dog telling him to leash his dog.

Sorry but they don't try to give you orders when your out of zone. Maybe when they're short drivers. Funny when you do change zones they send you back to your 1st zone & then you can't change back. Driver always loses & they win. You didn't sound confident when speaking about this topic on zones. Again are you being paid by a 3rd party to insert these poor notes so new drivers take them? If so thats sad. 😢 Sorry but it has to be said.
I wish instacart would tell you the total miles from where you are, to the store and then to the customer instead of just from the store to the customer. There's no reason they couldn't as they have your gps location at all times. Its kinda dishonest of them in my opinion.
@@donmerrigan2362 I’m glad DD and Uber do, but all that’s required is that they tell us the distance from pick up to drop off. It’s our job to know our market area and where things are.
I think your shopping skills really elevate you more then you give it credit for. You always say get on shopping but no point in getting on shopping if you can't shop like a monster like you do, and skills to do that as far as i can tell is something that comes with year or more of experience, 1000s of hours on the grind. Closest i've came without insane out of this world rare tips, is 8 hours for 200 month or two ago. For rate per hour been plenty higher on short shifts but don't count those since all it takes is one very gracious tipper to make a 2-3 hour session appear insane. Don't feel bad about 5 minutes for 1 item i've taken 20 on a very rare occasion, but there is whole story behind that.
