I have a Badger 200 and it's 30 years old and still works great. Have you thought about pre-shading using your light primer and Black primer over all the edges and details and fine lines and then painting ?? Dora was only painted once and the paint would have been starting to fade after a few months, this will also add depth to all the larger sub-assemblies and add a more realistic paint job in the end. I think you will like the effect of a 2-tone Grey, it's better than just 1 overall color.
You should be happy with the Badger. I used one for years and it still works fine, You'll find parts are readily available at most hobby shops. Never heard too many complaints about Badgers and I think most modelers have used one at some time or other.
Hi Gary. Once again thank you for making a video series of this build process. Agree with you about purchasing in store vs online. I don't know what it is with hobby stores. They seem to take FOREVER to ship stuff. Man, try building a large model RR when every time you need something you have to wait two weeks to get it. Jeez, drives ya nuts! BLT, yummy. ; )
Hi Gary love the video. Just wanna touch base on your pet peeve I'm the same as you I'd rather go to a shop & buy what I want...but some times you just have no choice but to order online. I ordered tamiya mark fit strong on the 10th of June & guess what I'm still waiting for so I went ahead & ordered a twin set of micro set & micro sol let's just hope they come when they are supposed to on the 24th of July anyway I must go & watch game of thrones take care Gary
