One of them would set up the joke, there would be a pause, the camera would zoom on Bea, she would hold for just a second and would already have the audience laughing....just anticipating the brilliance with which she would deliver her response. For me, she was by far the anchor of the show.

I love The Golden Girls!! Definitely one of the best hilarious shows of all time. I'm just like Dorothy when it comes to my peebrain cousins when they ask me dumb questions. Like one time I was out on the porch smoking a cigarette and one of my cousins came outside and said "hey are you smoking?" I sarcastically said "No I'm signing up for space camp." Even though he could clearly see I was just outside smoking a cigarette. True story.

My niece did the same thing! She comes up to me at my job tells the customer I’m checking out “forgive me I just wanna give my uncle a hug!” Then after she hugs me she looks me dead in the face and goes, “working?? 🙂” I said “no, Cassandra, I’m developing pictures for the Magellan space probe........” then she looks around all confused and I snap “YES, U TWIT!” Lmao 😂

You left out the best sarcastic moment of the series IMO. And one of Dorothy's best lines. The plumber carries a toilet into the front room and goes back out to his truck. Rose walks in from the kitchen and asks " was that the plumber? ". Dorothy's looks at the toilet, then back at Rose and says " No. It was a little girl from down the street selling Girl Scout toilets. ". Priceless!!
