I knew where you guys were as soon as I saw the parking lot 😂 lots of good cover in that area. It does get pounded with guys during season. We also got some record rain fall this summer so swamps are super wet compared to normal. Thanks for coming up to the show!
Love how Lou is more concerned with shooting the shit than advertising his products. Haha. Those stealth strips are very much worth the price, highly recommend.
I have been wondering where he's at You have to bring him back whatever it takes to get that going Dan we'd love to see you guys hunting together It doesn't get any better
Dan, I see you mention the "floating bog" alot. Here in S Louisiana we call it "flotant" or "floating marsh". I have been hunting it all my life. You should try the "Crescent Moon" foam athletic snow shoes. They are banana-shaped so they are easy to walk in, and they give your feet enough surface area that you don't break through the floating stuff. They are very light, and easy to pack until you need them, easy on and off.
Great hunting there. The hunters make for excellent "fences" When you found that ladder stand, you should have followed one of the fence rows out into the swamp and found where the modified staging area is. 🎯 Great access😂
Grumpy woke up in real trouble this morning, my Barn boots had deer shit All over them, tracked it in the house last night, wife is fuming mad, uumm butter!!!!
i know and live by where your at. know that parking lot. Lots of people hunt in thigh high breathable waders and walk though that stuff no problem. heavily hunted and no 3y bucks. but its good optimistic content. some people stand in thigh and waist high water/muck and hunt. lots of hunters.
The hop over the trail was something taught to me as a child. And never walk on them. Any truth to it or not, I have tried not to do it during the season anyways
@@thehuntingbeast I agree. But I typically check for stands cuz tons of people leave them out. It’s actually illegal to have a stand out right now. Sep. is the earliest to put one out, as yall saw lol And then cutting is illegal, which yall saw some trimming… and then so is littering. So yes on all fronts. People constantly do what they’re not supposed to do. But I just meant it in the sense that you might now see it as much as you would in states where you can legally do it. If it was legal, guys would do it 1000x more lol But just wanted to point that out. And I have a property with some old scaring like the old rubs y’all saw. It’s been a minute since I went back there I need to again. It’s a little corner where it was just lit up with rubs. And the micro hills I 100% agree with. There’s a walking trail that fits between some of these micro ridges I like to hunt on/next. And they have some awesome sign. Just trying to figure out how to hunt them. Sign goes all up and down the ridge and I don’t think there’s just one bedding area in it. But will see.
@@BarefootDave_ that that’s crazy to me. I mark all the bait piles I find just so I know where not to hunt. It’s funny, getting off bait piles, has lead to far more success than I ever imagined.
Dan forgive my ignorance but what happened to Joe? I’ve been following you for a year or so but was watching the THP challenges from 5 years ago you guys seemed like a great team thanks happy hunting
I love how Dan isn't afraid to let his political ideology be known, I hate how others dance around the issues when asked. I know hunting isn't politics, but people need to stop being scared to share their beliefs, keep it up dan
