Love Dan's cover of Scarborough Fair so gentle so heart felt. Made us close our eyes and for just a few minutes forget out trouble. Master piece in singing and acting. Song of the white wolf never heard it sung except by Dan. Like all his covers he is either equal to the original or as most cases better. I saw Simon and Garfunkel in concert in the ‘60’s. Yep I’m pretty old but I will tell you……it was magic. They really had something unique and beautiful. Luckily they stayed together long enough to produce amazing music. Thank you Viking for featuring Dan because he will do it justice.❤

Sounds like you had a great choir director! "Scarborough Fair" was one of the very first songs that my little folk band (myself and two of my best friends) sang, up in Valdez, Alaska, from 1965 through the early 1970s. We had all learned it from early childhood, WAY before Simon & Garfunkel did their cover of it. The song is literally "as old as the hills," even though many people think it began with S&G. 😀 At the Wolf Conservation Center's channel, you can find actual wolves singing. I grew up in rural Alaska, and there were both wolves and coyotes all around our homesite. I used to love to sit outside at dusk and listen to the them sing (not so much the coyotes, but definitely the wolves). Here are some of the titles from that channel, that I found, when I first heard Dan sing "The Song of the White Wolf," and I recognized the nasality of his voice, and the way he carries the sound through the air, right away. He did a GREAT job of putting the actual effect of a wolf singing, into the song (all the way through), using his own skill at . I missed SaturDANday, unfortunately. My Dad was in town for the first time in over 2 yrs. I just now got a chance to watch the replay & noticed the double Dan treat of two of my favorites. I was wondering if you'd heard his lovely Scarborough Fair cover and I thought you'd already heard his version of The Song of the White Wolf, which is probably my favorite of his Witcher covers (even though they're all amazing). "Song of the white wolf" is like "Toss a coin to your witcher" from the series "The Witcher" ❤ And Dan's versions are amazing 👍🏻 But I have to warn you "toss a coin to your witcher" has 100% earworm potential 😂 Everytime I hear it, it's stuck in my head for at least 2 days 🫣🙈
This was my introduction song to Dan as I love the Witcher series and wolves are also my favourite animals. I haven't looked back since and I am still going through Dan's vast catalogue of covers. I love the Bro science podcast, the guys are very informative and entertaining..Love your Saturdandays and the artwork is incredible. I found Dan not via YT, but from Nexus mods, lol. The Witcher series had been out for a few weeks (so about the time Dan's White Wolf was done). I dusted off my Witcher 3 to start another play thru and was looking for mods for it. Came across a quest completion sound replacer labeled "Toss A Coin - Heavy Metal Version". Had Dan's Toss A Coin vid linked on the mod page. I had to hear more and instantly subscribed, lol.

Just an FYI, on "White Wolf" the guitarist is one of Dan's best friends, Gabriel Belozi. His channel is pretty awesome. He and Dan also have/had a production company called "Spyglass Inn" which is devoted to acoustic & folk music. Their "Loch Lomand" is lovely, and their unrehearsed acoustic "Eye of the Tiger" is awesome & fun. Victor the Guitar Nerd is a guitar genius, but I also love Gabe!!
