While at an event, Carrie accidentally befriends Doug's ex-girlfriend who he treated badly.
From Season 6 Episode 15 'Cheap Saks'. Carrie befriends Doug's ex-girlfriend Trish (Janeane Garofalo), with whom he treated poorly. However Carrie immediately gets tired of Trish, and uses her to get discounts at Saks.

Man, the comedy shows from the 90's and 00's...Seinfeld, Friends, Married With Children, King of Queens, Fresh Prince, Two and a Half Men, The Office... Even the ones you didn't like that much are SO much better than whar we have today. I don't know why it is but I don't think it is just the nostalgia of us 90's kids, they were generally just so much better. Must have to do with PC culture or something

You see how people LAUGHED at the scene where Spence was talking about going on a date with another MAN? You couldn’t do that today cause the audience would be gasping and run to social media talking about how wrong it is and how the Alphabet kids are getting bullied. This episode was from 2002 maybe.
