I've got my fingers crossed that i will be able to handle that, but i think it would really help take some of the pressure off my husband (which will probably be my Christmas gift to him), so the pain will be worth it.

I have a large family and when I was younger I had two kids and zero money after bills. I ate too Ramen soup for 2 1/2 years straight. Once I had any extra money , even $20 days would buy extra food and put it away. I became a bit of a food hoarder because I swore I would never ever eat Ramen again. I still stock 6-8 months worth of food but now it’s much more organized. When I started my pantry I sold the clothes my kids grew out of for a few bucks a week and added food , then I sold some of my maternity clothes, shoes basically anything I felt I didn’t need. The food security gives me true peace in my life and I am crazy about anyone who wastes ANYTHING !!! I use everything and we eat all leftovers once a week or so. I use leftovers also for my lunches. I am sorry that you are so close to the edge with your food situation, I completely understand what that feels like with kids :( I am praying that you get some ideas on how to expand your pantry.

Someone near us had a similar issue but with a teenager and used a dog chain so they could access the bathroom etc at night. It was a huge case, I don't think it is legal to chain or tie a kid up at night, for any reason, in NY state. I live near the DD.

Omg.. what? 😞 my son has gotten into things and poured out things All over the bathroom, but I’ve never thought ‘I need to tie him up.’ I thought ‘what can I do better to help prevent this’. I know hospitals have those beds that go over the hospital bed, it’s meshed, so the child can still see out of it, but it’s zipped up to help them from running. My son is diabetic so they had him in one last time, and it was just like a safe space for him and a safe space for him to be in ❤️ but with everything, this is why I need him close to me, for safety and to monitor blood sugar.

Not to mention that Alicia drugs all these kids with melatonin to get them to sleep because they cant sleep because she feeds them crap sugar food and doesnt treat their medical issues. If there was a fire, none of these kids would wake up. They dont even wake up when Alicia is banging around in the kitchen at 4am.

My son is autistic and we've had issues like this as well. At one point, we did turn the knob on the bedroom door around, so that we could lock it when we slept. We did keep a baby monitor in the room so we could see him and he could let us know if he needed anything. But, safety became one of the focuses of his therapies and now that's not necessary because he understands risks a bit better. I knew it was a short term solution, and I still felt completely awful for it. I can't imagine a parent thinking strapping a child down or chaining them up is a good solution for any problem.

@@horrorjunkie137hey mama! Been there with you. A guy I dated about 20yrs ago had an autistic son and he would wander and not to misbehave but he was a very curious 8yr old. When we finally got custody we had to turn the knob around too and I felt horrible. We had a baby monitor in there and left him with a bottle of water and a snack bar incase he got hungry or thirsty. We even switched bedrooms with him so he had the master bedroom with a bathroom incase he had to go potty. I felt horrible but we had to keep him safe as we lived near a train track and a main super busy road. He eventually grew out of wandering outside the house so we traded rooms back and the worst thing he’d do is get up and play video games. It’s so heartbreaking and tears at my soul to think of someone trying a child to a bed.

Oh wow. First of all: your parents sound like such genuine, protective , incredible people. I am SO happy that you guys have found each other. Second: I find it VERY remarkable that your parents were asked about your story and the journey to adoption etc. And they chose to not go into that. That's yet another testament of how much your ACTUAL PARENTS loved you and how vehemently they defended and defend you ❤️❤️❤️ I can only imagine that even without social media, every one has an opinion, they question a decision as monumental as adoption, etc. Lastly I just want to say: I am SO PROUD of your parents fighting for you. I am an adoptive mom. A few years ago I came across the Crazy Pieces family. I was humbled by what they were doing. My eyes were well opened once they moved to the valley. It’s amazing that none of the children have trauma from their lives prior to adoption. They make me sick!! I can’t even look at Crystal she nauseates me.

I have a child with a disability that people really need to learn more about. Advocacy groups really need people to learn about it. My guy is pretty severely impacted by it but trying to navigate giving information about day to day life with the disability while preserving his privacy is tough.

It's also very time consuming. I tried it too, but like after two videos (which really didn't had my kids in them, I was doing chatting, cooking, cleaning videos) I realized that it's only going to take my time away from my kids, but I kept following many family vloggers until I stumbled upon Josh's channel. Unsubscribed from all of them and I am also very glad I stopped idolizing mommy vloggers.

I homeschool my kids and have to take lots of photographic evidence to show our moderator and I get frustrated because I have to always be thinking about that and whipping out my phone to take a pic when we’re doing an activity and I don’t feel fully present with my kids😭 this stuff is… insane.

@@meliss9536 that was a big fear oil f mine the 3 times my daughter in law was pregnant. I told them anything they need we will make sure they get it if they're in a position where they can't. I've heard so many horrible stories about that happening.

It's illegal where we live to even restrain an adult without specific medical paperwork and it's a lot of hoops

@@katylantzer7954 yeah it's pretty much the same here. You need doctors orders and basically to prove that it's safer then leaving them unrestrained. Lots of hoops for any kind of restraint. As it should be! And this kid "allegedly" stays restrained all night? I highly doubt he's ever checked mid way through the night too 🥺

I was thinking the same thing. I looked up the website of the company that makes the beds thinking "surely they can't be marketing it to be used for that purpose. I thought all thsoe crazy things like what if there's a fire?!? But no, that what the company wants you to do with their product. So that's a problem there too.

And what if the child that is secured to the bed starts vomiting in the middle of the night no one there to help him can't roll over and ends up aspirating on the vomit that's just one of a number of incidents that could happen when you use these instruments unsupervised. Certainly a fire hazard but that's not the only thing there are so many dangerous things about this.

@@tesstickles6057 I don't think they're met to tie or secure the kid to the bed. Just open and closes from the outside so they can't get in and out. They're still free to move about inside of it. I'm pretty sure it's not even legal to secure a person to a bed outside of institutions and facilities. The manufacturer definitely didn't seem to encourage that. But I'm not positive. I didn't get the vibe that they were strapping their kid in either. Just locking a kid in a bed, cage or room is questionable enough in my opinion.. if y'all really and truly believe she's tying her kids up at night y'all need to do something about that. An anonymous call to children's services is all it would take. If you're sitting back accusing a mother of doing something so horrendous and not speaking up to the authorities who can put an end to it, then you're partially at fault as well. If you see something say something. If you haven't seen enough to warrant an official complaint the it's probably not valid enough to spread accusations and rumors. She can be a terrible person. Y'all don't have to like her. But there's a giant difference in being a shitty person and being an unfit parent. When people blur that line it makes even the valid accusations seem a little less credible. Everytime people watch her video she gets paid. Every hate comment she gets paid every dislike... She gets paid. So a lot of y'all are just feeding the monster so to speak. If we're truly concerned for the children then you need to be their advocates and do something to change the situation. PS I am using the word "you" in a general sense. If it doesn't apply to you the let it fly. If you're offened by it try to seperate your emotions and focus imin the logic of what I'm saying. It's our duty as society to speak up for children who need a voice.
