The kids know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

Growing up we were very poor. For Christmas one year, my mom, who worked 3 jobs, stayed up late at night to crochet barbie doll clothes for mine and my sisters barbie dolls. We loved them.

Oh my gosh I'm so glad you cover this Mom. The food waste and money waste in that home is completely absurd.

Damn. Here I am a single working mom of 3 boys. I am over the top excited that I was able to buy each of them a bike for Xmas this year. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces. They appreciate things and they are not spoiled. And that makes me proud.

Then you have my child who felt bad for other kids and started a toy drive at the age of 6 and over the past 3 years donated over 3,000 toys. And was excited that he got a Pokémon stuffed animal and was completely content if that was his only gift. Thankful for my appreciative caring kid!

I could buy something for $5 and I’d still be hiding it under my seat if I have to go in to another store. I can’t imagine leaving $14k worth of stuff in my car like that.

I watched a few minutes of her shopping insanity because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Needless to say, I was totally disgusted with her greed, especially considering this has been a hard couple of years for many people. I often wonder if she grew up poor and that's why she shops the way she does. And, I wish Alusha would teach her girls how to brush their hair. She is so worried about her appearance all the time, yet the girls look like they have rat nests growing in their hair

She stated they don’t let the kids use the credit cards because they’d just spend and spend. What in the hell does she think she does? Of course they would she sets the example that she has no limit.

The best part of Christmas is when your children get a shocked look on their faces and scream in delight of a present they received.

When I got my boys a playstation 4 a few years ago, my son literally cried with joy. I caught it on camera. Not because I vlog, but because I was recording them opening gifts on Christmas morning for our own memories. I wasn't expecting that reaction, but he had me in tears because of how grateful he was. I will never forget that Christmas. I grew up in foster care and aged out. I'm thankful to be able to provide my children with the things they have, yet I don't over spoil them and make sure I instill values/morals into them. I remind them that being a good person is what's most important.

How about having each child buy a present for a child in need??? It’s wonderful to do and so needed!!! You get to do a good thing and bond with your child over it, teaches kids so much!!!

The sad thing is her one son said he would just like to spend time with his family but she’s buying a bunch of stuff to replace the love he wants. It’s really sad.

I worked in healthcare during COVID and got an iPad and AirPods as a gift for getting through (and for other things). It was so amazing finally being able to get something like that. I had wanted one forever. I hate that they won't ever feel that way again, receiving gifts like this all the time. And if they are older, and never have money like this again, they will always be disappointed.

I totally agree the kids in temp foster care are so spoilt that it effects their relationship with their biological parent/s. I've seen it happen. A lady I know had a bad car accident and was in hospital for 9 months She is a really good mom. Her 2 children are now spoilt nightmares and constantly push her for materialistic things. She suffers from depression now because she can't give them what the foster family did.

Christmas morning is going to be an overwhelming disaster for those kids. It’s easy to spend a lot of money on them. Not easy to spend time and make magical memories with that many kids.

I grew up poor, and my parents only spend about $75 per kid, even as adults. It’s very magical.

My parents came from severe poverty but made it and now we are pretty well off. I was always taught to not show how expensive my stuff was, to not exaggerate the worth of my stuff because I can get robbed because of that and you never know when you might loose everything and people will be bitterly happy about your downfall especially when you brag too much.

Her showing off all of the expensive items she buys and all of the groceries she buys then wastes, truly hurts my heart as a single mom. My rent went up, and it's between rent/groceries or Christmas. So Christmas wasn't going to happen. I was blessed with a couple of friends helping me out this year by sending either money or presents for my kids! I am forever grateful for them! But this woman makes me SO upset with how much she wastes and how much money she is wasting. It hurts to see the lack of love and attention she gives these kiddos 💔😔

When I was maybe 13, I started making the deviled eggs for family get togethers, and that Christmas my Granny gave me her cut glass egg tray that was a wedding gift from when her and my Papa got married...I still have it and use it for every holiday!!

I'm late to this but I wonder if instead of the kids 'losing" things if they are giving them to friends to make friendships or by force or selling on the side at school or online. So much money and so much waste all while teaching all the wrong things.

I'm the youngest of 5 and we grew up quite poor but Christmas was always amazing. My parents made sure we had a few gifts each, sometimes more than that and it was such a surprise and the best feeling ever waking up not knowing what we were getting. Presents stopped when I was about 13, and my parents ended up just getting a few DVDs that we hadn't seen before (no money for the cinemas), with some of our favourite snacks and even that was much appreciated and made me so happy. It really taught us to appreciate what we had.

I feel like she teaches the kids that items are worth more than memories. Trust me, I wouldn't be able to remember what I got for my birthday a couple years ago, but I can definitely tell you who I spent it with and the good, fun memories we made. It also teaches the kids that life is always going to be handed to them, when it almost never will.

My son is 5 and most of his gifts are from dollar tree this year because of how hard things have been lately. And I already know I could give him just one small present and he would be grateful for it. My son may not get what he asked for this year but I know he won't complain. And that just gives me conformation that I'm raising him right. It's not about the money and the gifts, it's about the time with your family and being greatful for what you do get. Maybe if she taught her kids that then she wouldn't feel the need to buy their love.

I watch another family blogger who has eight children and what I love about her is that she wrapped all of her presents and then put them under the tree so the kids don't know what they're getting before Christmas and her kids are all over the age of 15 and her and her family made over 100 gift bags for foster kids since 7 of her 8 kids were fostered to adopted and she has had multiple foster children on and off thru the years.

Absolutely agree with you Josh! When you have less you appreciate more.. As a single Mom of 3 boy's often times they got an outfit or pajamas and 2 toy's. But we had an awesome dinner on Christmas and snacks and Cocoa and Christmas movies. And we were together,warm,safe and happy. My boy's are grown now with families. They are hardworking and very humble. They are teaching their children the same good values..

I track our Christmas spending every year, including Christmas cards, matching pajamas, all the wrapping and then stockings and gifts for my family of 5, we spend on average $600 total. She spent our entire budget on 2 kids

one year my mom told me she couldn’t afford to get me an ipad on top of all my other gifts. i was totally okay with it, i understood completely. but, she ended up being able to buy the ipad and the surprise when i opened it was MAGICAL! i’ll never forget that! it made the ipad 10 times more valuable to me! her kids will NEVER experience that and it’s sad!

We started doing a secret santa with the adults in my immediate family a few years ago so we could focus on the kids at Christmas, but still had the fun of shopping for each other. On top of that Santa always likes to visit my parents house Christmas morning each year because my parents go above and beyond for the holidays (no matter how many times we tell them they don't have to, and no matter how old we get). This year my grandpa passed away about a week before Christmas, so our time was spent worrying about things that weren't the holidays. Due to this my parents didn't have time to get a lot of things done that they had originally wanted to, which resulted in my mom apologizing because there would be less presents this year than normal and she didn't want us to be disappointed because she didn't have a chance to find unique gifts for us, which she loves to do. (to which we all reminded her that we didn't expect anything and there was a reason we started secret santa so they wouldn't have to have the added stress) Christmas morning came, and my siblings and I (34, 32 & 26, along with our signifigant others) recieved a fully stocked professional first aid kit for our car. Santa brought the littles each a pair of red converse and they got a few toys and books from the rest of us. And guess what? We were all thrilled. And I think that speaks volumes of how we were raised and how we are raising our families. I can't imagine asking my parents for these items, let alone expecting them to buy them. These gifts aren't personal, every kid is getting the same thing whether they asked for it or not. To me this screams "I don't have to time or energy to show you actual love so maybe if I just buy you the most expensive everything you will think that it's the same" it's heartbreaking, especially for the kids asking for baby dolls and hula hoops. It's just a matter of time before those kids are asking for the same things as the older kids...I also can't imagine how overstimulating Christmas morning is with this volume of stuff.

Did she seriously just set up a shoe display in the middle of the mall so she could film it? And she could have just bought a Fortnite skin for the Nintendo Switch he already has instead of buying a whole new Switch.
