Ha! I'm using the two tubes version of that Xduo amp as a preamp, out of an SMSL SU10 into a cheap Nobsound solid state amp, through Denon ScN10's that I picked up on Amazon Used for £35, and it kicks ASSSSSSS also!
According to a comment about the Douk FU32 on German Amazon the tube is not used at all in the amplification process. It is only fake. As Zeos already guessed there is an OP amp inside the device and that one does all the work. The OP amp type is NE5532.
I have it and it does get quite hot and is glowing under its own power (also LEDs). The real test would be to disconnect the wires at the top to see if you lose signal. I might try that when I get home.
It can be a rudimentary pre-amp not using all of the bias for amplification purposes with channel summing and amplification at the OPAMP. either way... just buy a Schiit Vali 2++ if you're messing around at this price point.
The Douk U10 is fine. Sits behind both a Topping DSD DAC or a Hibby DSD DAP I got new tubes GE JAN 5654W ( _JAN : Join Army Navy specs_ ). It's noticeable as sound stage and instrument positioning goes on headphones ( _open back and planar_ ) but don't be fool tubes swap is only "real" on external speakers 😉
I have been using the xDuoo MT-601 as a preamp to my Aune X7s for quite some time now and I never felt like separate them. That's why I love your videos Zeos, we have really similar tastes. Except, I don't really care for waifus 😂
I know you wrote this a while ago l, but I wanted to thank you for giving me the idea of hooking up my xduoo ta-22 to an aune x7s that I bought used for a great price. I use the balanced inputs of the ta-22 to hook up a gheselli j2s dac. What a fantastic combo. Thanks for the idea.

I have a little set up next to my bed. Android phone, Neutron Player Flac library into Hiby Fc4, into that U10 amp out into my Koss Porta Pros with Yaxi Pads and,... It kicks ASS!

I would love to see you review the new topping dx9 Z!! I just got mine last week after waiting like 3 weeks to get it from apos.... it sounds pretty good I feel like its the a70 and the d90 all in one and all you need... I would also love to see what you think about it with the tungsten's plugged into the dx9 would make me happy.
