I love this song ... I remember when I first heard it at a party and I was in the hallway of this house and it stopped me in my tracks as I had a euphoric moment and a girl walked out from a room and approached me and said “ oh it got you too” and that girl is now the love of my life ... I live for these moments with music

Possibly my favourite song of all time

This kind of song burrows into your brain and never lets go. Shimmering, silky, and memorable. This is on par with The Verve, Catherine Wheel, and Echo & The Bunnymen.

This song is emotional and has so much heart and soul, the snooty, tasteless people who put a thumbs down needs to wake up to music you don't hear on heart.

Easily the best British band of the late 90s/2000s Those first two albums are so so good.

My best friend in HS gave me this album and told me it would always be important to me. He was right.

This song underlines a time in my life and the times I spent with my wife and great friends. Bought our first house, Glastonbury, on the lash every weekend, kids, party's The Ute going to the tip with loads of rubbish… this was blasting out… to long lost friends!

When music stops you in your tracks take notice, it's for a reason.

Me and my gf just broke up after a year long relationship. We bacame a couple on Valentine's day 2019, and this song was playing in the background. This Valentine she celebrated with a new bf, and now I try to sleep alone but I can not do it. Life sucks sometimes, but this is still a great tune even if it makes me more sad than happy now.

This and all the other songs on this damn fine album are perfect!

Heard this song while in an Uber. The lady was very chill and this was one of her songs. I had to pop out my phone & use Shazam (music recognition) & now I can’t stop listening to this. Shout out to this underrated band

Sat here realising that though Irish, this is my music. Being asked to pay €128 for a Pearl Jam ticket made me fall slightly less in love with them. I'd pay 500 quid tomorrow to see Doves.

Go this song on a NME free CD many years ago, and just wanted to here more. Got all the albums and seen them about 4 times.

I've been listening to this song since the album came out when I was a teenager at school. Its been consistently one of my most listened to songs and still has the power to give me chills. The pulsing guitar track with the subtle reverb is awesome and just makes this song feel huge. An epic tune.

Crazy what an amazing contemporary sound this is, considering the release year.

The best Doves song

Doves and the Beta Band, who preceded them by a couple of years showed an interesting way forward with a blend of guitars and electronica but the old fashioned thrash-and- yelp of the Libertines, Bloc Party etc gained more traction at the time.

I remember getting Space Face on 12" vinyl when it came out. Pink Panther Records in Carlisle. I knew they were special back then. The Coast EP was next and Inside Of This still gives me goosebumps. Heard nothing for a few years then, one night when I was stoned and watching MTV2 (when it was good), this song came on. I had no idea they were Sub Sub. Loved it immediately and loved the band ever since. Beautiful song.

Doves é sensacional, underated, conheci a primeira vez no inicio dos anos 2000, onde a MTV Brasil passava o clipe de "There goes the fear", e até hoje essa banda faz parte da minha playlist, assim comovárias do cenario britpop/ indie rock. Seu ultimo album, The universal want manteve a identidade e nivel da banda. Pouquíssimas pessoas aqui conhecem eles, é sinal que tenho um otimo gosto haha, 2024 e sigo ouvindo.

First time I saw them live at The Roadmender & dropped a couple of beans that night & they finished off with this and it just lifted the roof of the place & Lifted everyone in there of their feet,the deep dark & meaningful lyrics just blow you away in my opinion they are up there with RIDE best two British bands of all time 👌👌👌👌
