Patrice headlined the fourth and final episode (hopefully more will follow) of Jimmy's HBO comedy series, Down & Dirty. www.patriceonea... www.myspace.com... www.myspace.com...
I’m just a bloke from England that only discovered this guy from RU-vid after he had died. His comedy is universal doesn’t matter whether you’re black, white, male or female. In the era of Netflix I truly believe he’d be the biggest comedian on the planet if he were alive today!
those typical dark patches from the diabetes are already pretty visible at this point of his life, poor guy. Such a genious! Those patches are usually seen in people with strong insulin resistance. Him and the other Gods of comedy are cracking jokes at some heavely bar now.
This material is fuckin great, I assume it's 23 and unders saying "he's better on radio" Man this. Kind of stand up isnt out there, this type shit isn't old hat,it's one of a kind and his mind was 100 percent unique His contemporarys told us so, they were scared of a fully loaded and confident Patrice Maybe we weren't ready for Patrice I'll never forgive myself for coming late to the game and not seeing him live
@ZombieKiller766 long time to wait for an answer; lol! But in case you still need to know, yes it is the singer and bassist for Motorhead, Lemmy Kilmister.
Good call dude, the guy was so fucking quick-witted. Any heckler would be instantly shredded by him, they just couldn't keep up. I've seen him drive a heckler out of a room just by comedic skill lol
Makpak Beans Not really. His lack of deserved success was more about how refused to play the game behind the scenes. It’s pretty well documented that many people wanted to hire Patrice, but the perception of his “attitude” made him difficult to deal with. The times actually caught up with Patrice as he neared his death becasue he actually had a television show and podcast in the works. Unfortunately, due to his lack of health maintenance, he had a stroke and eventually passed.
A OK maybe his old stuff was average but later on especially his hour is amazing. But I agree his best shit is just random conversations or interviews.
@Thomas Jeffries 💯% the Patrice better than Kevin comment....& everybody else in this generation. AND I think if he was still alive he'd give Dave a hard run.
Yeah Maury, Jenny Jones had out of control teen shows. D West with Maury, boot camp for Jenny Jones. He didn't foresee anything. There's always been dumb girls like her.
He didn't foresee shit. We've had parents that are horrible at disciplining their bad kids, for many years, appearing on talk shows. Since before you or I were born.
Patrice is in the top 20 comedians of all time. He is so unique that he cannot be copied. He belongs along side of other comedians like Dave Chappell, Chris Rock and Bernie MAC!!!
wait wtf lemmy kilmister was the fucking dj for this event? when he said "thank you lemmy" and then panned over to lemmy i almost lost my shit lmao, what the fuck is he doing there
this is the applause he always deserved, it was really nice to see him get a reaction like that. these were probably O&A fans who knew him well, and if patrice were around today he’d probably be getting standing ovations like that at about every venue he played
Patrice was ahead of his time, no other comedian would DARE joke around what he joked about. years from now, they are going to be studying his work like "this man knew the way"
This guy was hilarious. R.I.P. He was too raw and hardcore for mainstream and that's the problem. This world is becoming soft. Guys like Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Redd Fox, Bernie Mac and Eddie Murphy became legends because they were allowed to be themselves. Now being yourself comes at a price for fame. You can be funny, but you can't be real anymore
dude are you high, Elephant in The Room was brilliant, this is just a 5 min stand up fill, this doesnt show anything about who he was.....and he killed at the Charlie Sheen roast too, he didn't need O&A for anything was fine with or without them
i love how he changed the joke about "price of p$$y is like cars" to bread. it was still a good joke but the legend wasnt satisfied with it. Rip Patrice.
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !* _Tappin' in from South Central LA_ I got chills from the crowds reaction after Jim's introduction of Patrice. Rest easy Big Homie 🙏🏾 We're listening. 🤜🏾💥🤛🏾
I know this is incredibly late, but I agree. I love his stand up, but what makes him my favorite comedian is his on the fly comedy. He was so fast with his delivery on O&A. Brilliant! RIP
