I have been using the same injector for Years also for the chlorine ball. Also on the inside of the inlet there is a jet that screws in and out when you start losing suction Power and Water start spraying back out. Also sometimes when the ball starts getting stuck it's where the jet goes bad on the end. And you have to replace it. It's on the inlet side of where the water goes through

When you go from downstream injecting to pressure washing with the surface cleaner do you disconnect the downstream injector and just connect the high pressure hose directly to the pump without the downstream connector?

Great information. I just started using my downstream injector. But I have a question!!! How do I regulate the chemical suction. It draws too much soap. It used up 5 gallon tank of soap real quick. There's a lever in the middle witch way is to open or close flow. ????? Thanks in advance

On your question about the switch I don’t know but I do dilute my SH down with water. Like I will do 1 gallon water and 1 gallon of bleach

Will it still pull chem if you remove spring and ball? I turn it off anyway and don’t use pressure to turn it on and off but the ball sticks once in a while.

I notice the fitting has a rating but if you put a inline valve on the soap line you can adjust the amount of soap suction you get and save some money on soap by better dialing in the strength of your soap.

Looks like teflon tape on your quick connects. I'm starting to have some leaks with my teflon at different locations. When replacing the teflon it is totally broken down. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you. I use a pressure washer and a 5 gallon bucket with a ladder saver second story nozzle. When I apply soap and the small injector hose is in bucket it reaches higher, when I rinse and the injector hose is out it doesn’t reach the same. What do you recommend to do? Thanks.

Ok, i have a question. I have been using a down stream injector and just getting strait 12.5% SH in a 5 gal bucket and using a j rod. I want to get a chemical tank but i want wondering exactly what you are talking about the fitting on top of the tank. Its about about 4:50 in the video. Can you put up a pic or explain exactly what you mean. I would like to do this myslef. Im tired of having 5 different 5 gal buckets strapped to my trailer.

Sometimes I go weeks without using mine cus I do this as a side hustle. Mine continues to not pull chemical. Almost as if it’s clogged up but I pull it out and make sure it’s clear. The smaller port tho where the hose goes there’s like a ball there so I can’t tell what’s going on. It’s very annoying.

Hope you see this. I installed a down stream injector on my 2500 psi unit. I noticed the water flowing INTO the soap container rather than soap flowing OUT. The level in my test bucket went up instead of down. It has a metering valve which I have wide open. What would cause that??

You have the injector installed backwards! Make sure you have the arrow pointing in the direction of your pressure hose. Rookie mistake

I’ve been days trying to get my pressure washer to downstream. It a new machine, 4gmp . I’ve checked for leaks with both new injectors. The arrow is going towards the line. A 100 ft line. It has the soap injectors that came on the machine up steam with tag no bleach. It’s not drawing soap either. Is this a machine issue. I’m getting 4000 psi on the gauge, it fills a 5 gallon buck up at the minute mark . I’m just lost with it. Ordered the first off amazon with a metering knob, second one from my local pressure washing supply house. Im using a black soap tip I started with pressure all the way down and nothing so I give it a little bump, nothing little bump nothing no fluid moving. Any suggestions? Is there something on the pump it self I need to change. Thanks a lot

I run a mobile detailing business and I want to offer pressure washing also... I already have a 4000psi and 4gpm unit to use but I was thinking of adding and 2nd reel and hose and downstream the chemical so I dont cross contaminate but is there any way for the chemical to make it's way to the pump with down streaming

Would love some help. I have a 4gpm machine and I got a 2.1 downstream with a jrod & 200 ft hose If I hook up up gun with jrod directly to downstream I can pull chem If I hook gun to 100ft hose I can only pull a little chem (.5 gallon in 2.5 minutes) but with no jrod only with no tip in gun 200 ft I can’t pull any chem in any way Please help educate me

Antonio Rivera yes so sodium hypochlorite comes in 12%. The downstream injectors will dilute it 10-1. Now you can clean at that ratio but it’s a little strong and can maybe kill plant life at that ratio. We put 50% water and 50% SH in a bucket the downstream that mixture

i have a Landa pghw 8gpm @ 3500 or so... I have a 2.3 injector but i think my Jrod has too small of soap tips.. im not getting the draw i should i think im running a 40 for soap.. do i need to go to a 60 for it to work because my Landa MHC that was a 3.8 gpm with the 2.1 injector ran flawlessly with the jrod i have.

Yeah I’m pretty sure that a gallon a minute you should be at the 60tip. Because I believe up to 5 gallons a minute you’re actually at the 40 tip.

Power Washing my supplier in NJ that I get everything from. They should be in by tomorrow. Been doing business with him for a while. Called Gateway Cleaning Equipment. He’s only about an hour from me so it’s easier then doing everything online imo

Ive got a 4400psi 4gpm and with it came a dsi that reads 3.5gpm. Called company and they had no idea how it got in there. Is it compatible with my 4400? What would be the ratio and is 3.5 enough for roof cleaning? Haven't tried it yet.

James Pope not at 20:1 That puts you at 1% You can add a little bit of water but not much. .75% is about as low as you can go and not take forever

My Briggs and Stratton SpeedClean 2800 PSI has worked so well however now the chemical injector only draws from my soap/chemical bucket when the unit is off. When the engine is not running it works like a champ! When the engine is on and running properly, it will not draw from the bucket at all. I purchased a replacement injector, ball, spring, and hose and after installing no change. I took off the manifold and checked the o-rings and valves and all looked clean and clear. I removed the unloader valve and it seems to work as expected. I am using the correct black nozzle attachment. I've tried lowering the water pressure at my faucet. Again, works exactly as expected with the engine is not on. Any ideas how I can get it to work again when the engine is on for that little extra pressure for applying chemical/soap?

Pressure Wash Help Thank you for your response. It seems to be opening up just fine. There’s plenty of water pressure coming out of the gun. Could this have anything to do with the unloader valve needing adjustment? I wouldn’t really know how to tell if the gun is opening up all the way? There seems to be no blockage.

Michael Rasbury If the gun is not opening up all the way it will build too much pressure which would cause it not to draw. If you took the gun off and started the machine see if it’s pulling that way. Obviously make sure you’re holding onto the hose when it started

Two questions: 1. How much do you charge for house washing? 2. The SH rusts it and you say you go through them exceptionally fast. Why don't you keep a second tub full of water and drop your hose in it to suck water through and rinse your gear?

Hi my Injector says 2.1 That means for every two gallons of water it pulls 1 gallon of SH.

My first time using a downstream injector, could not make it work . For anyone reading this, its a 2.1mm orifice and the consumer pump did not have enough GPM to overcome the detent ball to pull a vacuum and I ended up using a pump sprayer.. After finishing the job, ordered a 1.8mm (rated for 2-3 GPM pumps) and will try again. I was unaware the 2.1 has a minimum flow rating of 3GPM and more than a typical consumer model pressure washer can deliver. *not in the business

Thanks for a reply, the orifice was on the pump side and the arrow directed toward the hose, even tried removing the wand and nothing happening at the injector tube.

There ain't really much that can go wrong with a ball, spring,and brass if you keep it clean.. maybe the spring gets stiffer with time exposed to the SH?

So i just hooked up my new injector... it pulls chemical when the pressure hose is not hooked up but when I hook it up it won’t pull chemical

Power Washing haven’t tried yet I have the 2.1 injector on my 3200 2.5gpm. I just unhooked the pressure washer hose and it stared pulling but when plugged back up and pull trigger with black soap tip in it would do nothing.

James Pope just use it with no nozzle. I say it’s the gun not opening all the way or creating to much pressure

Jason, nice vid however, look at the camera lens when videoing, not the monitor screen. Also, switch to a chlorine ball rather than the steel! I'm running a stainless SSS high draw injector with a chlorine ball which has 2yrs on it and no problems thus far!!! Downstreaming at 700psi through 200' of 3/8" and it'll draw the balls off of a goat...

This set was so nice I purchased a second set when I ended up adding a second 50’ hose to my set up. ru-vid.comUgkxG9W58byG1ZFYaD32YfLk74_TrU5mNkXV Only down side hooking two hoses up with quick connects you end up with a 6” ling section of fitting would be nice if there was a union type fitting instead that would save a huge chunk of material in line with my hose. But that’s just how I set it up. I go between a 50’-100’ all the time. Otherwise mine hasn’t leaked once used Teflon tape of course and have been running these since early spring 2022!

You mentioned the T is $16, and $30 with the quick connects...and you are replacing them every 6-8 weeks, "$30 every 6 weeks isn't bad"...do you not realize you can unscrew the quick connects and put them on the new T? Thus it should only be $16 for the new T every 6 weeks
