The Doxa case is always a classic and I think this one looks fantastic!! My biggest problem is w/the 38 hr power reserve in a watch costing over $2K! If this one was closer to a52-70 hr power reserve using say the Selitta SW300, it would be fantastic.

Have to agree 38hrs is crap nowadays, should be 60-72 then we are talking.

Very good looking watches. Well made and unmistakable. Had too have one in my collection. Not cheap, but when comparing to other brands it is good value. Plenty sales as well so you’re not paying full price. I went for the 300 army with bronze bezel green strap and bezel inlay. Love it.

I have a couple of the original Aqua Lung 300s from the 1960’s, and I recently purchased a new Doxa and am very impressed with the solid quality!

It’s sounds like such a small detail but I go weak a the knees for a good beads of rice bracelet! The 300 range is my favourite of the Doxa range

Not a Doxa fan. They take the “Swiss made” misnomer to the limit, and they produce nothing in house.

That is a good thing. In house is silly and a waste of money. But yeah, this is overpriced.

This new 300ß looks to be much better finished than the older serie, but my issue with Doxa lies in the fact that every time I tried any on my wrist, I could never find a way to justify the price asked. In my opinion, all Doxa are 30 to 40% overpriced.

Seriously?? Name another historic brand making a professional grade dive watch that is 1200 m water resistant, has a HRV, and a bullet proof movement for under $2k. The Doxa 300T is hands down the best dive watch made for under $2k. I’m a diver and trust me, I’ve owned lots of them. Doxa is unbeatable at its price point..

@@whereRbearsTeeth Sinn UX GSG 9, 5000m, used by the German tactical divers unit, same price range, far better with an ETA caliber 955.652 thermocompensated movement. I'm afraid you're the owner of a chunky piece with nothing much special but everything very standard and very boring, and it lost 30% retail value at the second you purchased it; I feel sorry for you.

When this phoenix brand re-emerged I loved the look and quickly got hands on, but was underwhelmed considering the asking prices. The clasp and lume being particularly sub standard. I bought an Ali rip off which was so well done for the money my itch was scratched. This does appear to be a step up but I doubt I'd buy one now. They're way overpriced.

Well, there's Cartier, Vacheron, Piaget and Panerai (higher-end) and brands like Mido, Rado, Zodiac, and Spinnaker (in the low to mid range) all featuring cushion shaped cases. But, I'm glad to know that this Doxa is old-fashioned or outdated.

Can’t get past the poorly fitted BOR end links, ended up selling my 300 shark hunter for that exact reason, plus the lume is poor on the watch unfortunately.

It’s a very easy fix. You simply need to lightly sand down/polish the edges of the last 3 BOR that go into the endlinks. I did this on my 300T in about 10 minutes and now the bracelet articulates perfectly and wears much, much better on wrist.

Doxa is a very nice old fashion watch,the only detail is rhe price too expensive for me,with the thousand micro brand who compete in this range of price you have to be realy doxa fan for thinking in buy doxa before other brand...just my opinion

But the “term” beater means a rough n tuff watch that doesn’t matter if it’s damaged. But Beta? B Caribbean not that price.

Kind of overpriced for what you get don’t you think ?!! An ETA 2824 in a watch is nothing special, and can be had for less than half the price of the Doxa. Besides, the case on the Doxa looks ridiculous in this day and age.
