Bought this watch (Sub 300T Professional) about six weeks ago. Surprised by the high quality and terrific accuracy. Can’t imagine the COSC model is more accurate. Wears very comfortably, even though it’s heavy - built like a tank. For reference, I love IWC for bracelets, and general fit and finish. This Doxa is surprisingly well done. Well worth the money. It does draw comments - all positive - so no flying under the radar with this one. I appreciate the distinctive design and “heritage,” and the excellent engineering and execution.
Got one of these, but the anniversary edition from 2019 without the He escape valve. Loved it so much I bought a vintage one from the 70s too, truly iconic dive watches. Although the bright colours are an acquired taste.
Have loved Doxa since I found out about them in the 1980’s, finally was able to afford one in 2009 and I got the SUB 1000T professional with the black PVD case and bracelet, it has been my everyday watch ever since and although now battered and bruised I think it looks all the better for it. I love it all the more because of this wear and my history together. I do hope you bond as much with your gorgeous 300T. Super video and I look forward to seeing the other Doxa variants.
Great decision! I absolutely love this watch! Even more so than the Submariner, this is the ultimate dive watch. I mean come on, it's the watch Dirk Pitt wore.
I have this exact watch, and I do prefer having the date. One of my go-tos is my Mido Ocean Star because it looks and wears so great, but also because it has day and date complications that are super easy to set! Decent lume too.
I think you made the right decision here. This is THE orange dial watch, and I think you have to own it. I’m still thinking I might end up buying a sub 300 professional in the near future
The 300 is a bit of an acquired taste, the smaller/slimmer size and the domed crystal aren’t for everyone + if you want the truly iconic Doxa it’s gotta be the 300t, think Clive Cussler, Jaques Cousteau, all wore the 300t, it’s the version that secured Doxa in dive watch history.
I think the average buyer that just walks in off the street to Exquisite and say "I'm looking for a good dive watch" when offered the option of date no date, will usually pick the dated watch. Only us collectors who probably already have a bunch of dated watches and are more concerned with looks and symmetry will choose the dateless.
I always like these, but was never willing to buy one because of the size. The new 39mm has definitely made it a contender to keep company to his big brother , the 600T
Just ordered my 300t Professional…. Already got a Sub 200 Pro and it’s great but I expect the 300t to be even that much greater! Can’t wait! Great look at the watch Rob!
They have a bunch of colours of the Doxa 300T and its been on my buy list for a couple of years now, what colour-way would you say is worth grabbing. I will add all the watches I own have a blue dial, so that in mind I'm interested in either the Aquamarine or Caribbean. I'm leaning more to the Turquoise Tiffany esc colour. Appreciate any responses.
Congrats and a timeless design! I WISH the clasp on the 300t was offered on the 300. I prefer the thinner case and boxed dome crystal on the 300, but the stamped clasp is a turn-off for a sub $2K diving watch. I've always been on the fence about which one to buy...
