It is amazing that this guy hasn't gotten the same attention as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck etc. He is every bit as good if not better than some of them.
Patrick Davis, this man’s technique alone sets him in the minority of greatness. He is also quite accurate in voicing and time. I won’t compare him to anyone, but anyone cannot compare to him. He is a master musician. I’m a professional, played for thousands of people. He gives no quarter to dime-store hoodlum adjudicators.
Because he is a very family oriented, Christian man who plays what HE likes and doesn't "sell out". He is absolutely phenomenal and well known and respected among his contemporaries. He helped sell a lot of Taylor Guitars for years and now he's doing the same for Guild. I highly recommend seeing him in person. He's as nice a person as you'll ever meet.
