I bought one! Arrived from the ebay store in about 2 days. Tested it out on the Triton and works a treat. Very solid piece of kit. Looking forward to hitting the beach. :-)

Great, glad we could help in the decision process, I've used mine quite a few times raising tyres from 15psi (my usual beach pressure) to 38psi, doesn't take long, the outlet can get a bit warm at the end of the job but I've seen much worse, the rubber coating helps greatly. Do you use deflators when going onto the beach?

Yeah The only other spot I noticed heat was the space between the handle and the compressor housing but you cant really burn yourself unless you purposely put your finger on it. Other compressors had multiple hot spots. I will use a deflator for sure just cause its quicker than doing it with the pro flow. I'll get one from Super cheap or somewhere.

How's it going after 6 years? Any complaints?

Going fanbloodytastically, no issues.

@@Geeyoutoo Excellent! Thanks for the reply. I bought one on eBay about the same time you did. Intending to use it grey nomading. But here it is 6 years later and still haven't gone. Hopefully within the year I'll get a 4wd and take off. I'll put it to use then. But might take a backup in case 6 years sitting unused had degraded it.

I think you will be fine, they are tough. Hope you get on the road asap.

Good to hear mate, for the money I reckon it was one of the best at the time and probably still the case. I've used mine many times, mainly after coming off the beach where I've been down to 15psi, very easy to use, quick, and doesn't get to hot to handle, by the time you have wrapped up the hose and got the gear together it is about right to store again, mine fits into my draw system.

Recieved a question in a no reply email from Zane H about size of the unit, question doesn't seem to appear in here, anyway to answer the question, it doesn't come in a box, the unit comes with a bag and it fits into a space 220H x 340L x 220W in my set of draws, the bag holds everything.

Awesome videos - they're really helping me a lot in planning the mods/upgrades I want to do (in a sensible manner) for my 2001 3.0Di, so thank you very much for all your shared knowledge @Geeyoutoo ! A question I have is; before, during and after all these mods: What tyre size do you run and what do you recommend? I'd like to go as big as is reasonable without sacrificing power or pushing EGT's. Diff ratio changes are out of budget but also not interested in going as big as 35" so mainly wanting to know if I should stick to factory 31", or can 33" wheels work comfortably?

First up, thanks mate, this has always been about trying to help people get the best out of their ZD30 without sacrificing low end torque etc. My 2000 DI that I have owned since new came with 265x70x16 tyres at first change I went to 265x75x16 and have stayed with that without sacrificing anything offroad. 285's will work OK but you will lose a little regardless of what some may say, that part is really up to you, but, go any bigger and you will require diff ratio changes.

@geeyoutoo thank you- I'm on the 70's and looking at 75's then. Don't want to push size and end up with my auto box gear-hunting at highway cruise. Cheers for the help!

Good to see a plain no nonsense review and demo of this compressor. I like the screw on valve connector as opposed to the clip on ones and the whole unit seems pretty robust. How are you finding it one year on?
@Geeyoutoo
@Geeyoutoo 8 лет назад
Excellent, no problems at all, my main use for it is after letting tyres down for beach work so I need to get them from 15psi - 40psi asap and it does it well.
