What was the outcome of your graft scar result?

tiff2106 Thank you for your comments. Typically in a historical session yes we would perform these in the operating room. However more often we are performing these in the outpatient setting now that we are more and more experienced with performing these in a pain-free Fashion.

tiff2106 Regarding your comment about the reinforcement around the tubing that is something that I personally called the “mesentery” and what I do find is that it prevents the patient and or the nurse or family member from accidentally pulling the tubing off of the wound VAC and it prevents pain from the patient

Nancy Veron excellent question - the skin substitute wound matrix allows the skin to regenerate, so the wound is not exactly being closed in this video. However, yes, the Wound VAC negative pressure wound dressing does act as a biological barrier-so bacteria will be less likely to get into the wound.
