The story of Dr. Antionette Candia-Bailey touch me deeply. I understand so well her frustration and pain, the feeling of hopelessness because the staff at Lincoln University ignored her request for leave, so that she could get mental health treatment (it's reported). The manifesto she left is heart wrenching. As its read, you can feel her pain and her experience. It's a shame. But, we must keep moving. Let's honor Dr. Bailey's life by being proactive, for ourselves and others. BE EMPOWERED!

Why didn’t she get a doctors note? She should have gotten an attorney. She was bullied

We have to be real suicide is not a way to prove a point and plus you miss your ticket to the other side that’s what’s life about doing right in getting to the other side she brought that on her self I’m going thru a lot now as I text lost a 30 dollar hour job to bs now no job family looking crazy knew I was fired wrong do my research in found another job file my lawsuit and continue to live life it can’t but better god is real and Jesus is his son

Hi Corey. My purpose for creating this video was to promote self-advocacy, and not to promote suicide. I applaud your self-advocacy, just as I applauded Dr. Candis-Bailey's, and I still do. Her decision to commit suicide shouldn’t dampen the efficacy of her advocacy when she was alive. I appreciate your comment.
