I can't thank Dr. Brownstein enough for providing all this vital information. I healed my severe longterm hypothyroidism through the idodine + co-factors protocol. It was a hell of a scary journey since I started 2019 and I had zero support from doctors along the way (quite the opposite actually) but I "survived" and thrived! 🥳 Thank you, thank you, thank you!
wonderful and encouraging to hear Nadja. Can i ask- did you go and see him for appointments? or did you create your own protocol based off your own research? I am wondering what to do. my one hesitation is that i heard he does encourage meat eating as part of his thyroid healing protocol
Im from South Africa and Dr Brownsteins information about H202 and iodine nebulizing saved our lives ... my husband is now 80 and has nebulized every year for flu since then... My gratitude is enormous for this man.
Wow! I feel privileged, because my son sees a doctor that works under him. He’s very nice and he’s made phone calls on my son’s behalf to get my son in to see a special chiropractor. 😅🙏
@@MargoKruczek I would like to know too. He’s got great care, but no one has diagnosed him with long Covid and it’s been a year! I’m going to try this myself after I read about it. You’d think since Brownstein is overseeing his doctor, they would have given him this, but they are concentrating on mold and Lyme.
Thank you very much for interviewing dr. Brownstein. He is a real doctor who truly cares about patient outcomes, who's continuously learning and curious, and who's courageous (both in treating a new infectious disease, antagonizing pharmaffia, and starting a completely new kind of practice with a mountain of student debt). You have to search long and hard to find people like him.
I want to work in his office! Everything I've heard him say over multiple interviews is so great and so interesting. I wish we could clone him and put him in every town. I want him to be my doctor.
I appreciate real physicians, not just representatives for the beast. You'll never find good health passively. Our health has got to be a part of our lives. It has to be a bigger part of our lives than our doctor's!!!
Best salt is Redmonds real salt mined in Utah. It's expensive but has all the minerals. I use it to season food on my plate and pink Himalayan salt to cook with
I am 67, have never had any flu shot. Have not had the flu since 1997, and never got covid. Some people are ruled by fear. Kudo's to you for staying open! I had an issue with diverticulosis so made an appointment with our MD. Two hours later I got a text message saying "If you feel unwell or have a fever, you may not need to come in, you may just be able to schedule a video appt. I texted back "If you are afraid I will make you sick, you chose the wrong career. Fast forward 3 weeks, I ended up in urgent care for stomach pain and other effects from the GI system. I was sent straight to St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver. After they got me stabilized, they performed a resection to remove a large mass in the colon. Not benign thank God, but these video appointments are a scam. The MD gets his fee, and he doesn't have to deal with his patients in person. But who takes you blood pressure, who weighs you, who checks ear nose and throat? No one. Never before in life were we told, if you don't feel well or have a fever DON'T come in! How damned stupid do they think we are?
Hormonal wellness is it all. I have hyperactive glands middle to bottom, but not one darn doc will check my pituatary/hypothalamus? PcOS... like your dad, none of the yearly or semi testing of every immuno reaction that are not functioning. Next week l meet with an integrated. I'm hoping to hear my hormones ALL get checked as part of the program.
38:15 ... I used to sit near a physiology professor in adjunct offices when one day he exclaimed ... "I just don't see how salt restriction makes any sense... kidneys can just dump excess sodium so easily!" Since then I've heard (from Dr. Paul Mason) that there are FOUR places in the kidney where sodium is reclaimed and returned to the blood stream, and they all act based on insulin. High insulin, high blood sodium.
@@Appleblade that is me - my pancreas was after 12 hour fast test at insulin level of 242. I've been on metformin since then to get them to cleared out faster and into my self to help, and they just keep getting higher.... l want a partial pancrectomy. I know someone that had it done and is very tired alot of days by she eats then has to take enzymes to better help her digestion process.
I've just been diagnosed with graves disease, ended up in hospital with a thyroid storm. I'm around 45 kilos, I am so lost with trying to do this naturally.😢😢😢
I have a friend with depression and anxiety and the more pharmaceuticals she has gotten the worse she gets! She talks about dying a lot. My guess is is that she has adrenal fatigue and lack of nutritional needs? Have you written a book on this? Most people are on multiple meds for this!
I had the most fantastic naturopathic doctor on little ole Main St in little ole Bay St. Louis MS doing things that you had to go to Mexico for: hydrogen peroxide therapy, ozone, vitamins, EVERYTHING. I even used his Rife machine way back in 1984 approximately. He put me on my natural medicine journey that has been a God send, a degree in medicine (not really, but I think sometimes, I know more than they do). It has been the joy of my life. Sometimes it takes me a year to find a solution; sometimes, 3; sometimes longer. But he taught me that allopaths treat the SYMPTOMS; naturopathy treats the CAUSES! And finally, all these years later, I am hearing doctors talk about that. But Jonathan Wright's books were my source of help after my doctor passed away in 1990. Took me years to quit crying but he did give me my health, lots of information, and a quest for solutions that are not FROM ALLOPATHS! This doctor in this video is what you would want in a doctor! God bless him!
Really fabulous interview. Nice to know that there are doctors like Dr. Brownstein (and Dr. Ehrlich) who want to do good for their patients. So much good information here and bravo to Dr. B for his great work on sick people during the throws of Covid-19!!!!! I will pass this video on to several folks for sure. Thank you for posting this video!
I love holistic Dr. they normally actually cure people, is hard to find them, I wish we had more Dr. like. Dr. DAVID BROWNSTAIN, a lot of people could be cure, never stop helping people. Dr. David B. Much love and respect for what do you.
What a wonderful treat to have Dr. David Brownstein on your channel, giving us a great talk and a wealth of health information we can all use to improve our lives. I always enjoy listening to your channel and am truly amazed by so many topics you present here on the channel. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Thank you, Charlene. I must say I enjoy recording the episodes.. each week, I get to ask people about a topic, they answer my questions, and I learn so much in the process. It's good to know that it resonates with others as well. I appreciate the feedback.
One thing I have only recently having read that NMN needs 12 weeks is that for me at least 12 weeks is an optimal time to trial any supplements and changes. I think before I would give things a month then give up, thinking it hadn’t worked. Now I will give everything 12 weeks before deciding if it is effective
Hi there, Vivian, I have read the whole collection of Dr. Brownstein's books many years ago (approx. 20yrs. ago), it is an utterly interesting and mind opening collection, however, the one that ultimately helped me the most is the two books I read written by Dr. Datis Kharrazian, the first book I read is: "Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? When My Lab Tests Are Normal" and the other book is "Why Isn't My Brain Working? Dr. Brownstein are a great start up collection to read, yet, it was only when I finally got to read and attentively explore these other two book when I finally begun to put things together and ask for all the right questions, tests, etc. I actually dropped all allopathic doctors altogether and switched into holistic medicine to find true healing. Mine is just a suggestion, a drop in the Ocean which may or may not generate a ripple effect. Regardless if it does or not, I felt the urge to communicate my personal experience.
I would read his Iodine book first! I have Grave's disease and found it more information than his 3rd edition on Thyroid disorders. Will be checking out Dr. Kharrazian's books. Thx for recs!
@@denisemccole382 No worries! Learning alternative ways on how to deal and even heal from autoimmunity disorders and other related conditions has helped me enormously. Indeed, I have experienced the reversal of the condition myself after dropping allopathic medicine altogether. Of course, it took a great leap of faith, and it also helped me to found out that I am a natural Alchemist by Human Design, at which point I felt like I had no choice but to follow the holistic path. Although, we all have an alchemist archetype hidden somewhere inside of ourselves, and we all have that potential to transform ourselves when we follow our most holistic nature. I came to the realization that my health challenges were there for me to re-direct and re-align myself to and with the truth, for me to better myself and learn to take responsibility for my own. The moment I quit asking somebody else outside of myself what "they" thought it was wrong with me, and "why," and quit giving away my power to other people, I began to learn my way to heal my own wounds. There is a great sense of power that comes from being able to do just that and realize that ultimately, we are our own saviors after all. Not to lecture you on this, I know it's not an easy path either, but to let you know that we already have the solutions inside of us if we only look deep within. I truly hope this helps. Don't give up!
Hi Dr. Ehrlich, thank you for having Dr. David Brownstein on your interview. I read all of Dr. David Brownstein's books, the whole collection of it. Quite interesting, eye opening to say the least!

After reading up on the iodine and selenium theories/factors..... I went out in search of iodine and selenium. Found selenium in every store/pharmacy. Iodine to take orally in zero stores. The system does NOT want us to be well. especially if the cure is not a prescribed medicine! For now, i am eating a lot of sardines and seaweed snacks. My head is clearer, and I have more energy after just one week. (And yes, I grew up in Michigan, spent 48 years there.). Now in Colorado.
Dr Brownstein caught my attention when he gave the ideal minimum for sodium and chloride levels. I immediately went online and checked my test results and realized my sodium AND chloride levels are BELOW the standard range, and not even close to the ideal minimum. Last tested in February. Since then, however, I’ve been consuming unrefined pink salt, so I’ll be curious how my next test results turn out. (I’m also hoping my C02 levels come up to the normal range since I had the AV Node Ablation in January.)
I would very much like to know what Dr David thinks about iodine supplementation for those with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, many studies indicate that it is harmful and causes oxidative stress to the thyroid. thanks
7 months ago my TSH was 3.20. My goal was to get it down to around 1.00. I purchased Dr. Brownstein’s book and began supplementing 12.5 mg iodine. My TSH went up to 10.0 after taking iodine. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Dr. Brownstein has commented before that TSH can temporarily go up before it will return to an ideal. Apparently, the increase is because the body is trying to absorb as much iodine as it can.
how’s it going now? I took huge doses (50-100mg over many months) in 2013-2015. My TSH didn’t go up. Only as i lowered it to 12,5mg (Iodoral) it went up. Now, 10 years later i take 24-36mg every now and then. From 1-3x per Week.
My husband had a stroke at 36yo and he is doing okay now but is on very high statins. We live in Canada and our doctor is very resistant to doing a full thyroid panel. Does anyone know what hormones to check and where? Even if we have to pay out of pocket
Can you interview Dr. Brooke Goldner with the Goodbye Lupus Protocol? And can you tell Dr. Brownstein about her and vice versa? They are both brilliant but she is not familiar with large dose iodine protocols
Hay docs how much iondine do i have a day. ? Im having oral sugary shall up the dose? Please help. Thanking u for this amzing insite.iv been reseching since i was 27 im 41 i know a fare bit. So always eger to learn.
Is there any benefit to split up supplementation with water intake over the day? Or just drinking 20 mg of Lugols in the morning on empty stomach. Tried it and cant say I feel bad.
Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to correct the iodine deficiency with a 50mg/d dose or any other dose you are taking? Doesn't have to be accurate, just an idea. 😊
all the answers to these questions can be found by researching other videos of Dr. Brownstein or reading his information online. There are also other doctors and practitioners with a lot of information regarding supplementing with Lugol's Iodine that can be found online for free.
He is SO BUSY running his practice, teaching his doctors and writing. It would be nice, but I didn’t think he’d respond. My son goes to his Center for Holistic Medicine, and he has personally called my ex husband.
Hi Kim, I am sorry I am not in a position to give out individual health advice on a RU-vid channel. Tango has given some excellent suggestions below. I would approach Dr Brownstein.
I have a question regarding the right magnesium on an iodine protocol: As chloride is not beneficial when taking iodine, is that the same for Magnesiumchloride? I am using a magnesium spray to avoid ingesting magnesium but just realized this now… 🤔
"Dr. David Brownstein promotes the use of magnesium chloride as a supplement “synergistic” to treatment with iodine. Chloride competes with bromide at the renal level and increases the renal clearance of bromide,[3] thus magnesium chloride is ideal for magnesium supplementation. Some patients require up to two years of iodine therapy to bring post loading urine bromide levels below 10 mg/24 hr, if chloride load is not included in the bromine detoxification program. Dr. Brownstein says, “As with using any nutritional supplement, a comprehensive holistic treatment plan provides the best results. Magnesium is an important part of the iodine treatment plan. Magnesium deficiency is very common. Magnesium is nature’s relaxing agent. Magnesium levels (via red blood cell magnesium levels) should be assessed and supplementation instituted. Magnesium supplementation will likely ensure optimal results with iodine.” --- From the website of Dr. Sircus : drsircus.com/magnesium/magnesium-chloride-benefits/
A week ago I went to Dr. Brownstein’s website to send him an email. One week……7 days. No one in his office chose to respond to my very simple email, which was asking about if he took patients from out-of-state , etc. Not very good business etiquette.
Great video! How are you? My iodine level is at a 52, with the range being 34-530. I am going to start a supplement with kelp , bc my dr doesn’t think I am low. I don’t agree so I will definitely start supplementing. Makes no sense to me! Do you agree that I am low? My mom doesn’t have a thyroid. Do you think Np or armour could still help her? Thank you so much! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I was wondering about Hyperthyroidism as I am very reluctant to start taking my endo’s recommendation for synthetic hormone. My fear is will just lead to more problems. I no longer trust conventional medicine.
Great guest @Unstress Health with Dr Ron Ehrlich Can David tell if iodine would help with keloids? Post breast cancer surgery lots of keloids. Been doing high dose IVC but want to know if any help with keloids?
Dr. Brownstein, Do you know which hypertonic saline are safe for nebulisation? Also, is soda bicarbonate safe for nebulisation and in which concentrations? Thank you.
Thank information. May I please ask what you would you suggest for my 4 year old son who has asthma and can’t breath especially when he is sick with a head cold. Also would you please know where I could get what it is may suggest I live Ireland. Thank you
Pls reply. Which kind of iodine should we use to help other organs function not only thyriod? I have read it that iodion is good for stomach lining. I have a problem with digest fat and poor fat as well as E coli and inbalance between good and bad bactiria. I am healthy women and not eating suger, grain, dairy and eating healty oil. I tried enzymes and probiatic the cuased me abdominal weghit gain. I noticed that once I skipt it both. Although losing hair on the cornar of my forehead.
I am asking for help in honestly answering the question: how long should I use vitamin C after drinking Lugola liquid? I have been using this protocol for 3 weeks, but it's a pity that Dr. Browenstein did not write what time interval should separate the Lugola solution from the vitamins, and you cannot take them at the same time, especially since he recommends taking from 3 to 10 grams a day, which is quite a lot, and You can't take it all at once, you have to work really hard to take the entire recommended supplementation in one day. I am asking for help, doctor, because there is NOWHERE this information, which is very important, not to convert iodine into iodide, and I don't know when to start taking vitamin C after drinking Lugola solution. Thank you and best regards
hello, endo only took a TSH level wtih it being on a gradual rise over years, its now 4.18 what would the dosage of 2% lugols and for how long should i take the soloution? do i need to take with unrefined salt? any help would be greatly appreciated ?
My integrative/functional ND medicine doctor told me we get TOO much iodine due to manufacturers putting iodine in all cosmetics, lotions, shampoos, etc. Never mind all the sea veggies, salt, kelp dulce, soy, etc. He says it is very easy to overdose on it. So which is it?
My mom has 0.01 TSH so she has probably hyperthyroidism. I gave her some iodine because i read people with hyper also need it, but it made her feel very restless and terrible. There is so much contradiction about iodine, some doctors say it's very bad, others say it's very good for hyper patients. Frustrating.
Watch a video with a lady named Stephanie Buist, she goes into detail on it, you don’t want low dose iodine because it starts a detox, you want to be around 50 mg and you want to use salt to help flush the bromine, iodine is needed for everyone, period…
Also check out Medical Medium and Thyroid Healing using dulse and seaweed amonst other things incl celery juice. I have shrunk my throiditis and nodule with his protocol using some dulse and treating thyroid problems at the root as its EPV which is killed with iodine incl seagreens. 🙏🏼
how can you find out the cause for your hypothyroidism? i was diagnosed but they never gave me the cause and I am taking iodine but its not making a difference in my chronic fatigue :( should I increase the dose? to how much?
I'd also like to pay respects to all those who suffered in wars to protect and build the land and nation, whom without which there may not exist a free government in Australia that promotes and protects the Indiginous, and all Australians, who all equally contributed to and acted as protectors, and helped improve, and to ensure a bringing forth into the modern world and also it's benefits of engineering, science, and the very medicine being discussed in this podcast, avoiding a reign most likely a genecidal to the Indiginous and many others, meaning, this podcast, the land, buildings, and people doing it may not exist at all, instead replaced with a darker age of tyranny.
Is your TSH high? Then I'd recommend selenium, zinc, iodine. Maybe you should test antibodies as well, it could be hashimotos. In that case I'd also recommend Vitamin D (with k2 and magnesium). My TSH was 7 at some point, now it's around a 3.5, mostly thanks to selenium.
Hello... I would like to know if you can share Dr Myers protocol of lugol on cervix to treat fibroids. I heard that according to him, women with fibroids are supposed to apply a full thin seryng into cervix to kill cysts and fibroids. Is that true? How many times a month I should apply it? Thanks
