upscaleaudio.com/products/dr-... Firebird is the high-flying Feickert with three phase-canceling motors arranged in an equilateral triangle around a high-tech plinth with brass inserts. The feat of engineering weighs in at 70 lb.
That lady is simply bad-xss! She Knows her shxt from Stem, to Stern! I would A D O R E the chance of hearing her give a presentation on why she loves Feickert Designs, and just her love of stereo phonogramy in general👌. Captivating, and Fascinating! There is tremendous talent in California these days!
Love this video. I enjoy my Feickert so much don’t know if I will get another table. I am going to change out my tonearm but as for the table I am so happy!!! Great job guys!
That sure is a handsome table. Is similar to my all-time favorite, Spiral Groove! Thanks for the tip about giving heavy platters a "shove off" before starting the motor (My VPI Classic II has an 18 pound platter).
Wish I lived in the USA. Would love to visit your store. Proper hifi stores are a bit thin on the ground in some countries. Always like your presentations and reviews.
@ paul lancaster. Unfortunately they are very thin and getting thinner here too. I feel it’s just a matter of time before they’re all extinct here in the U.S. Better make that trip soon.
@Kat O thank you. I will do that if I ever get over to the USA, I do have family on my step fathers side of the family so could perhaps vist them as well.
Ha! I wish. Fact is nobody lives forever. Kat is smart, technically adept gearhead that understands my vision. I want to create a place that is special and lives beyond me. So most of the money goes to my employees who I love so much. We go to the local brewhouse and I look at the fun that we have and the affection that we have for each other and our customers and nothing is more rewarding. That's where I get my buzz. But I appreciate the joke!
