I just love this pastor /teacher!! He is a delight and a brilliant servant of God/Christ. So refreshing!! I listen to him in the morning with coffee to give me courage to face the world with the heart and mind of the Lord.
John 6;43-45 , " Jesus therefore answered and said unto them , murmur not among yourselves . No man can come to me , except the Father which hath sent me draw him ; and I will raise him up at the last day . It is written in the prophets , And they shall be all taught of God . Every man therefore that hath heard , and hath learned of the Father , cometh unto me " ; and Deuteronomy 18;15-18 , " The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee , of thy brethren , like unto me ; unto him ye shall hearken ; According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly , sying , Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God , neither let see this great fire anymore , that I die not . And the LORD said unto me , They have well spoken that which they have spoken . I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren , like unto thee , and will put my words in his mouth ; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him . And it shall come to pass , that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name , I will require it of him " . John 12;44-50 , " Jesus cried and said , He that believeth in me , believeth not on me , but on him that sent me . And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me . I am come a light into the world , that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness . And if any man hear my words , and believe not , I judge him not ; for I came not to judge the world , but to save the world . He that rejecteth me , and receiveth not my words , hath one that judgeth him ; the word that I have spoken , the same shall judge him in the last day . For I have not spoken of myself ; but the Father which sent me , he gave me a commandment , what I should say , and what I should speak . And I know that his commandment is life everlasting ; whatsoever I speak therefore , even as the Father said unto me , so I speak '" . 2nd John 4-6 , " I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth , as we have received a commandment from the Father . And now I beseech thee , lady , not as through I wrote a new commandment unto thee , but that which we had from the beginning , that we love one another . And this is love , that we walk after his commandments . This is the commandment , That , as ye have heard from the beginning , ye should walk in it " . Revelation 20;11-15 , " And I saw a great white throne , and him that sat on it , from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away , and there was found no place for them . And I saw the dead , small and great , stand before God ; and the books was opened ; and another book was opened , which is the book of life ; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books , according to their works . And the sea gave up the dead which were in it ; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them ; and they were judged every man according to their works . And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire . This is the second death . And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire " . Finally , Ecclesiastes 12;13-14 , " Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter ; Fear God , and keep his commandments ; for this is the whole duty of man . For God shall bring every work into judgment , with every secret thing , whether it be good , or whether it be evil " . Shalom !
If u look in context he was talking about false teachers. And people who listen to their falseness. The gospel is 1 Corinthians 15 1-4....anything outside of that isn't the gospel! Many add works to Christ. Many many many are relying on their works to save them....they have never trusted in Christ and the finished work on the cross! Those who will hear those dreaded words are they who have never believed the gospel!
I don't except your title/mantle as a Dr. It honestly means nothing to me when I think/recall scripture!! All I see that it says is pride and a person in a special position. The scripture plainly says He's not a respector of persons,
@@kenharrell6686 Luke the author of Acts and the Gospel of Luke was a doctor and he was credited with that in the Bible. Paul and Jesus reference the need for doctors, as well. What are you trying to say?
We know this through Paul. Not Luke himself! However Luke did record this Luke 9 46 Then those that followed Jesus began to argue with each other. ‘Which of us is the most important?’ ‘I am’, they were each saying. xref-3 47 Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he picked up a small child. He made the child stand at one side of him. 48 ‘If someone accepts this child because of me’, he said, ‘he accepts me. And he also accepts him who sent me. After all, the person who makes himself the least important is really the greatest.’ My purpose is not to offend but to appeal to your inner man. Our ways are not His ways.
@@kenharrell6686 you commented earlier “we don’t need doctors or Christians we need people who really live it.” Who are you speaking on behalf of? Is there a group of people or are you speaking for the whole Christian community? Who is we? How can you be so certain what everyone wants? Be careful that you don’t use your own opinion to try and judge others. Then it seems like you’re judging yourself. If you are doing your part then let God judge the rest.
I did not listen to the end of this preaching. Why? I am very much disturbed that a pastor or anyone who gives an example of the dead coming back to speak to the living, is quoting such a 'story' to illustrate or convey a message, even in good humour. Deuteronomy tells us not to speak to the dead, the message is reiterated by Jesus in the NT. Amongst all the examples you could imagine giving, you had to choose one which is just what God forbids us to do. You owe an apology to everyone here who is searching a very difficult scripture, and instance of a good explanation which would help the 'searcher' to understand Matthew 7:21, you are misleading with your antiscriptural joke.
Dr Gene James. There are no hard feeling in my comment, but needed to let you know that we must be careful in our illustrations which sometimes may be anti scriptural for the sake of proving a point, in other words, make our own parables to allow people who are not as knowledgeable as we are, to understand the context of the subject we are preaching. We must avoid anything which is forbidden in the Word of God, even if it is to facilitate the understanding of the message we are conveying to others. God Bless you.
