I am 49 y/o peri menopause, use estrogen patch (I change mine once week), magnesium, vitamins D, B12, fish oil, biotin. I lift weight at least 3-4 times per week and try to walk 10000 steps daily. Also, I meditate, read and try to sleep 7-8 hours. Eat a healthy balanced diet is a must for me, no processed foods. I try to stay away from sugar and alcohol b/c my body can’t tolerate them anymore.

In my early 50s, my Dr and a compounding pharmacist did my BHRT, which included Bi Est cream, progesterone capsule, and testosterone gel. Pharmacist was a scatterbrain at best. However, I did this method from 2009 to 2017. Because of pharmacist mess ups, I got off all HRT for a whole year. In 2018, I did my own research and started using creams from a company in Tennessee. I've done very well with these creams. Over the summer of this year, I had an appointment with a new OB/GYN who told me she WOULD NOT put me on prescription HRT because of my age. I showed her my creams, and she said just keep using them. I'm 66 years old, and I eat the Mediterranean diet foods, I exercise my body and my mind, spend lovely time with my husband and pets, I enjoy cooking and baking sourdough bread very much. I'm 5'4, 120 to 124 lbs, in the process of a grey hair grow out and look younger than my husband, who is almost 7 years my junior 😊 oh, and I am not prescribed any medications for illness. So, all in all, doing darn good 👍 praise God 🙏

I live in Florida and 2 of my friends use a Dr in Tennessee- I wonder if it is the same person. I avoid compounding pharms- there is Zero regulation and they had me getting a full period at 58-they really screwed up my hormones! I now do the patch and a progesterone pill-just like Dr.Haver said. So much happier.

@sweetpea841 Smoky Mountain Naturals. I use the progesterone cream, estriol cream, and the supplement DIM/capsules. I use the progesterone cream daily 2 to 3 times. The estriol says daily, and I do use it daily, but I only use 2 to 3 doses put in a tiny container with a lid and take a small amount out daily so that I use all of it in 7 days. On Sunday mornings, I refill it with 3 more pumps. I've been purchasing from this company since 2018, and their customer service is as good as their products and cost. I live in Florida and worked as a cake decorator for 30 years with Publix supermarkets, so I'm well versed in great customer service 👍 hope this info helps ladies. I have more info on my research videos, i.e....the people I learned from if interested, please feel free to ask. God's blessings to all 🙏

I just turned 50. I’ve been in perimenopause for awhile now. I’m a firm believer in probiotics, I’ve been using them since my 20’s. I’ve added magnesium, collagen, fish oil, fiber and vitamin D. Thank you for all that you do. I’ve been constantly advocating for my self since my late 30’s about being in perimenopause. It’s been exhausting. I was never talked to about HRT. I am now going to a different dr. Who does specialize in peri and menopause, hopefully we will figure something out. Thank you.

Nurse Practitioner from San Antonio Texas Education was not great in regards to menopause! How can this be! I'm 49 and after listening to my body and diving deeper, I've just added HRT to my tool kit, in addition to Yoga, walking, time in nature, water intake, journaling, ADK, DIM, and now trying to increase protein, collagen, and fiber in my diet❤ Quality time with good friends and my family. Also taking a dive in learning more to be able to educate my patients in menopause and peri-menopause. So much to learn!! Formal education totally missed the boat on this vital topic! Thank you so much for your informative videos!

Thanks doctor, I enjoy learning the information you share. I have been in peri menopause for approximately 8 yrs (I am 52). I now use bio identical hormones and they’ve helped me immensely feel more myself. Meditation, daily walks, yoga, reading, nutritional foods (80% of the time), connecting with my loved ones, practicing gratitude (huge). If I care for myself, there’s more ease. Life can be challenging. Take care of yourself.

I am on HRT for years. Started the HRT due to chronic pain that can deplete the endocrine system. Then went into menopause, already with pain & limitations. The chronic conditions limit exercise. I am exhausted, so work & that’s it. I am on supplements, meds and HRT. I think entering menopause when I was already in crisis mode, just have me as a lost mess. Your videos are helpful & I am still trying. But, this is extremely hard.

@marycremer1724 Along with everything she mentioned, it’s perfect! I just wanted to add one thing…Any childhood trauma? Or trauma at all? If so, Find a therapist that specializes in trauma treatment …our body’s hold on to trauma that can cause those chronic conditions. As she mentioned meditation, also add deep breathing…and yoga helps a lot too. There is a book by Bessel Vander Kolk called The Body Keeps the Score that explains a lot about it. Also, Dr Sue Morter, she has a RU-vid channel and a book called The Energy Codes. The journey of life can be a challenge, and sometimes we have to dig deep and resolve “unresolved” things from our past experiences in order to progress. You’ve got this!!!

HI Dr Mary, I just LOVE your content and I am SO appreciative of you! With much reluctance I did allow my doctor to put me on HRT’s. I also do the estrodial patch and the 100mg of Progesterone. Lets go back a moment though: I had been complaining of fatigue, stress and so many other complaints woman our age make. My doctor at the time who practice natural medicine put me on Armour Thyroid and Iodoral for hyporthyroid (I am a skinny fit woman but my T3 & T4 were on the lowest end) I was also put on Omega supplement as my Omegas were dangerously low. Finally after 2 years and not much change in any of my symptoms, my doctor did a Dutch test and my cortisols and my hormones were tanked…like almost non existent. At this point I had switched doctors to an all natural clinic with more options in care and the new clinic started me immediately on HRT’s, DHEA, DIM detox. She agreed with keeping me on the Thyroid meds and Omegas. I also started seeing a nutritionist and we did a hair analysis and started me on Vit D, VIt C, and Adrenergy. The hair analysis matched what the Dutch test was reporting. I am still in the process of getting tighter control over my diet (sugar cravings). I did start Therapy back when I initially started seeking medical help for my issues and I have stayed with that. I also quit my high stress job, moved to the mountains (I was blessed to have that opportunity). I am a WHOLE new woman on these HRT’s and supplements….still working on some other major factors that come from childhood & adulthood traumas but I am quickly getting there. I was so afraid of doing HRT’s because I remember my mom was bat Sh** crazy when i was a kid….these are not the same as what my mother took. I love seeing what other people do for their health, it inspired me! Thank you for this video

Hallo! First of all I want to thank you for sharing this precious information about menopause. I take magnesium (for my anxiety and peaceful in my family🙃)+D+ca, supliment with fitoestrogen, I drink on the regular bases sage and/or bellflower tea. I realized how much important is to make sport and I try to do it more. For me is important to talk about this. I realized that it was (still is🤦) a tabu subject and isn't confortable for most of us to talk about this. But when you see your not alone🤗 it's much easier to get trou this, especialy when it cames about anxiety, depresion, unexplained and exaggerated irritability. I try to explain to my family what it's happens with me because they have to know that I'm not going crazy. In addition, my kids have to know what does menopause mean, even my boy (hope he will have I wife and he must be understanding and supportive☺️). So, I do all i can to have an easy menopause, me an my family😉.

Love your videos!❤😊 I do intermittent fasting, low carb suits me. I use transdermal progesterone cream, eating soybean products seems to help with estrogen, I love probiotics and LOVE NeuroMag! I have a "green drink powder" that I make myself where I put collagen, chlorella, msm, ginger and other good stuff. It's great to have ready in the morning. Vitamin D, of course, and I also use apple cider vinegar to break up calcium deposits and keep digestion running. Also I use apple cider vinegar to clear out any beginning yeast infections and olive oil for vaginal dryness. Menopause at 44 now. Oh, and I take 3mg melatonin every night for sleep. Works really well for me. My stress relief is walking the dog, being in nature and prayer.

I am just a big mess with many symptoms I am just learning could be no hormones, nothing seems to work anymore. I am only 59 and I feel like I am fading- I was so robust & productive even 5 yrs ago. I just moved recently and cannot find a dr taking new patients never mind a menopause friendly one. Maybe I will hit the jackpot soon I hope.I already limit sugar, no alcohol , no diabetes or hi BP. I make sure I eat protein like meat & eggs, fresh veggies, love avocado & raw nuts, home made foods not really low carb. 12-15 hrs fasting 5 days a week. I only stretch bc after a long illness I lost the ability to exercise which my routine was low impact with weights 4-5x wk 30 min- so now I just stretch. I cant sleep more than 3-4 hrs without meds..., brain fog, despondency. Crazy hard to function, I am not completely unpacked after 3 mos and I dont even care that much. Really bad is I think my husband is going thru some thing similar too. Thx for all the good info.

I'm 46 and the peri-menopausal symptoms have brought out the physical and mental big guns this year (after a couple years of very mild symptoms). I need to move daily, cardio, resistance, yoga, pilates and lots of walking outdoors. No alchohol, reduced gluten, limited dairy (only yoghurt), no meat. Eat eggs, fish, veg, fruit, loads of pulses and wholegrains and a little bit of cake for mental well-being - plus my meditation app. Supplements are vit b complex, omega 3, vit d, collagen and magnesium at night. The toolkit doesn't always save me, but it helps me identify the rise and fall of the hormones and when to expect what.... plus i am sleeping well. Hoping for HRT next year, just waiting on initial appointment.

I'm in surgical menopause at 47. I started BHRT cream 2 months after sx. Should have started immediately or actually before but doctor is an air head but nice. I was in chronic pain. Rheumatologist put me on Hydroxychloroquine due to my ANA's being through the roof. BHRT cream did nothing so switched to patch and improved a little. I ordered my own DEXA and diagnosed with osteoporosis. I was devastated. I am white 5'5 110lb. I've always excercised, ate healthy and took proper supplements (D3, mag, omega, multi, primrose, tumeric, probiotic, tons of h2o). What I didn't do well was I didn't eat enough protein and calories, didn't lift heavy, drank often to relax, didn't monitor anti-nutrients) and went to bed late. Now I'm playing catch up. Oh boy! Now I eat 75-100g of protein, cooked veggies, saurkraut (probiotic), K2, go to bed at 9 pm, lift heavy multiple times a week. Stopped Hydroxychloroquine, started 2mg oral Estradiol (I know it's controversial but it's my last hope to build strong bones so I dont have to start bone treatment meds). Stress wise, I started to truly put my faith in the Lord. He's my daily motivation and strength 💪

I have been struggling with the stages of menopause for a long time. I had a hysterectomy in perimenopause due to cysts, polyps, a period every 2 weeks and endometriosis. My one ovary left did a decent job. But 2 years ago hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety and sleeplessness hit me hard. Followed by the belly fat. I am 30 lbs over my personal comfortable weight. Estradiol has helped with most of my symptoms. But not the belly fat. I am just now starting the Galveston Diet to see how this can help me be happy and healthy in this life stage. I will say I have always been active, but I am more sluggish when I am not active and on the go.

I’m 72 and still have the hot flushes, cannot get rid of them no matter what I try sadly, but it doesn’t help that one of my medications that I have to take for Myasthenia Gravis causes hot flushes! No win! 🥰

I just turned 50 and my hormones are changing so I went to my OBGYN to get bloodwork done, I picked up my lab paper and when I got to the lab the technician asked me if I could be pregnant? I guess that’s all my Doctor tested me for!!! So I’ve been suffering with Insomnia, Anxiety, and Vertigo for 6 months now.

I should have been looking for solutions years ago but I'm not sure I want to do HRT. I love taking Maca in my smoothies, it's been used for centuries in South America for menopause. I do lots of supplements, vit D, CoQ10, Magnesium L-threonate, beef liver supplements, wild caught fish oil, probiotics, collagen, matcha green tea, valerian root at night, NAC, alpha lipoic acid, lutein, turmeric, ginger and cayenne pepper!

I am on a estradiol patch and oral progesterone.I take that same magnesium supplement per your suggestion, and it's the first thing I have ever put on an automatic refill order on Amazon. I sleep like the dead now, it's glorious! Unfortunately, I absolutely can not eat anything from the ocean, I have a gag reflex when I try to, so I have to take the omega 3, also, I take vit d/K2. I'm low carb, and I fast until 1 pm. The one thing I need to work on the most is exercise. I get tons of sleep, and while I have a long drive to work, the work itself is interesting and non stressful. I have family around always, and they are what make me happy! The one thing I'm struggling with at this point is night sweats, but besides that, I'm good. I do need to get off my butt, though, and exercise.

I think Dr Haver meant to say she changes her patch twice a week instead of day. I would like to know why my menopause gyn doctor pushed pellets but when I said no, she started me on the patch after I insisted and 200 mg of progesterone on nightly from a compound pharmacy. So, the capsules are not printed with a pharma company, no warning labels on the bottle and cost hundreds a month not covered by insurance. Should I also insist on a lower starting dose and medicine from a regular pharmacy covered by my insurance? She also prescribed daily Testosterone from rhe compound pharmacy, but i decided not to even start it.

Dr Haver could you please talk about natural ways to attain better estrogen and progesterone levels post menopausal… I’m 54 and two years post menopausal. Hot flashes have finally dissipated after years of varied intensity. Currently relying on diet supplements and exercise. It’s working, but I have noticed quite a difference in muscle mass and aging within the last two years… I’m assuming with everything I’m hearing it’s hormonal and stress.

I just had my labs checked and it seems that I came back positive for autoimmune disease. I had hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and low libido for a year and getting angry very often. But now the symptoms are gone. I only have body and joint aches, anxiety and kidney problem. Could hormone inbalance have caused me to have autoimmune disease and/or all of the symptoms above?please help. I have gone to many specialists with out luck. They say that my tests are clear and nothing is wrong with me.😢

I don't know... I'll try again, but I tried 100 mg progesterone and then stopped due to weight gain, then I tried combi-patch and stopped again due to weight gain. I run and work out 3-4 times a week, so any weight gain is noticed quickly. I will try one more time, but I am about to give up on it. I'd rather stay thin. The weight gain was very noticeable and persisted even when I stopped eating altogether. I was just bloated all the time.
