The maze is, to my knowledge, procedurally generated, and will eventually just crash you out. Also, you are not alone in there, as evidenced by the bones
Won't work on 7.0 but as far as I am aware on any ver with the old base just climb the tower ladder a bit then use the debug teleport (period key on the number pad, while not listed on the bind menu pre-7.0 it always had been part of the game) and it will always take you to the backrooms.
9:00 the command is "nextviewmode" to change the lighting mode, type it in a couple of times to get to fullbright. The command seems to need the game to be paused through UUU hotkey for the first imput, afterwards it works anytime(I think?? It just feels very inconsistent to me)
Going to the transformer with a ton of trash and going to the back heap and using the broom can sometime cause you to fall into the pile, burying you. Therefore noclipping you.
The maze is procedural generated and contains nothing (except for ambient sound and here and there an item, like a bone). It was just a 'joke'/wink. Something for the player to 'enjoy' whenever he got bugged out/clipped, instead of crashing the game instantly. Since a lot of clipping bugs have been fixed in v0.7 you're not suppose to get there anymore. But I guess it is still there since it is still an alpha version.
i still remember how i accidentally clipped into the backrooms while climbing into the vents i was so confused how i managed to do it so effortlessly when it took me two hours to try to get it in the old base
Turning Graphics to the lowest and boosting gamma can help quite a bit with dark environments. (Althought it probably has more to do with the shadow options)
Saw voices of the void I saw this one video of the backroom's and thought that the only video of it but I thought it was fake but now I'm watching this video and it is not
