The Masoretic Text has 2 forms of the Name. One form with Vowels for Elohim and another form for Adonai thats why you KJV has GOD in all caps in certain places. And most of the time LORD in all caps. Most people will be deceived by this.

So to not take God's name in vain maybe we shouldn't be trying to add the vowels since there is no agreement as to what is correct. Just stick with the tetragrammaton and don't pronounce.
@revelation13_9

Agreed! That's why I love the KJV. It uses LORD, a title, instead of the holy Name.

To say it straight NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO PRONOUNCE (YOD HEY VAV HEY) We don’t have any historical evidence. The personal name Yehovah, Yahweh, Yahawah and Yahuah were merely conjecture. However, their is a truncated name of God that is YAH in Psalm 68:4. All of us will agree of this of YAH shortened name and this is irrefutable. Their is also a Messianic translation NJV (New Jerusalem Version) preserved the name of God in Hebrew letters in printed form.

The DSS in the isiah scroll had, i believe, the tetragramaton and not a nomina sacra for God's name. So there is no written evidence for how far back the substitution of LORD goes if it predates the essenes.
@Blues.Fusion

I would add, Why would God give his name if he didn't want us to use it? Are we supposed to write it and hold up a slate everything we would say it? And you can still take it in vain without saying it. And he commanded Moses to use his name when asked who sent him. And Moses never said for us not to use it. I do agree with the lecturer about the correct way to say the 4 letter name .

@soupbonejones2721 You know, God commanded the Israelites to CAll upon his name, you see that many times in the scriptures. Why would he command his people to call upon his name if he never intended for them to speak it??? The jewish religious leaders had a bad habit of adding to and subtracting from the Law and the Prophets. Nowhere in the Bible scriptures does it forbid man from saying God's name. It does, however, forbid us to take his name in vain. The jews come along and make up their own law forbidding anyone from speaking God's name. Their justification for doing that was because someone might accidentally take his name in vain. They accused people of blasphemy if they spoke his name, and the punishment for that was death. Think about that.

To an ancient Jew, "Heaven and earth" was referring to the temple (the temple was a symbolic microcosm of the creation) and the Old Covenant order and all its "elements". Hence the "Heaven and Earth" of which Jesus spoke of HAS passed away, in the event of 70AD. Controversially, this also when Christ's parousia occured. But that's a whole other story... OTherwise, we're bound to the law still - Matt 5:18.

This is false, the modern Church(including myself) has been lied to, and deceived! You are wondering how, and why? When I was growing up the KJB was dominate, I was introduced to the NIV(78&84), and NASB(77&95). I used both of these for more than 30 years, along with the KJB. The missing verses, phrases, words, passages, brackets, notes ect, always bothered me never sitting well in my spirit. So the Berean in me kicked in, to seach out this matter? There are two main biblical text types/families, the traditional/TR/Majority Text/Byzantine type text(5000 plus), and the Alexandrian type/critical/eclectic text(3). Most modern bibles come from the Alexandrian type(Alexandria, Egypt): Alexandrius, Vaticanus, and Sinaiticus, with the latter two being dominate. The Alexandrius goes back to Jerome in the 4 century AD, he got ahold of a copy comparing it to those from Antioch(early Church leaders for the first 4 centuries were still Apostolic only authorized Biblical manuscripts from Antioch). Jerome found that the book of Revelation from Alexandria 50 years from when John penned it was totally corrupt. The rest of the NT from Alexandria by the end of the 2nd to the beggining of the 3rd centuries AD was corrupted. So Jewish scibble protocols were invoked so that all known copies were to be destroyed(burned). The Alexandrians(gnostic cultist, and heretics) were so rebellious, and unrepentant they managed to bury a single copy. This is what we now have, a so called bible manuscript that has already been condemned as fraudulent! Then you have the Vaticanus, supposedly discovered in 1475 with no prior history? When Erasmus was putting together the Greek NT, the Catholic Church gave the Vaticanus to him to use. After examining it, he determined that it was a fraudulent/fake made in his time period. He knew that they were monitoring him, and his life was endanger(knowing what they had do to John Wycliffe, and would eventually do to William Tyndale). Many people think he only had a few late manuscripts(as reported by others), but had multiple dozens(2nd century AD). Erasmus knew exactly where to go(he being familiar with early church leader writings), so he obtained them from Antioch, or where known to have come from there. The Sinaiticus was supposedly discoverd Constantine Tishendorf in the mid-19th century(who was a known money hungry liar), it was actually created by Constantine Simonides in the early mid-19th century. After I found, and read this information, I learned about David Daniels with Chick Publications. He has a complete video series on this, and related topics. He systematically shows that the Sinaiticus was created by Simonides. He also has evidence through independent chemical testing that shows the ink, both written, and art are 19th century. So we three supposed manuscrpts that are actually fake, and for 150 years we have been making bibles from them? Being pushed by two non-believing Episcople priest, that were cultist as well. Here the kicker the Bible has already told us over, and over again, not to go to Egypt, and the early Church leaders told where to get manuscripts. When the TR/Majority Text/Byzantine text are compared with the early Church leaders quotes(the Bible can be reconstructed by their quotes), they match! On top of that when we look at ancient Bibles: ie Greek Orthodox Bible mid-2nd century(use KJB for English), and Old Latin 90-130 AD. Stated by the Apostle John with his disciples Poly carp, and Papias, Completed by Poly Carp, Papias, Ireneaus, Turtullian, and Justin Martyr. These also match the Traditional Text, early Church leaders quotes, along with the KJB! No missing veres ect, to include Acts 8:37, Mark 16:9-20, John 7:53-8:11, 1 John 5:7-8 etc! My position is KJB preffered/best, TR/Majority Text/Byzantine type, and Masoretic Text only. I have no problem with grammatic updates, and utilize from this text family: pre-KJB Reformation era Bibles( ie Tyndale, and Geneva). More recent Bibles besides NKJV: MEV, WEB, MLV, and other KJB variants- KJV2000, KJV21, KJVER, and Simplified KJV. Be a Berean, and seek out a matter!

Not possible, they come from fraudulent/fake manuscripts! On top of that they are from Alexandria, Egypt(represents sin, idolatry, and bondage), also the supposed scholars who were from there were gnostic, cultists, and heretics. The Bible says over again not to go to Egypt, and Revelation compares it with Sodom! Only the Tr/Majority Text/Byzantine type text come from Antioch, as instructed by the early Church leaders for the first 4 centuries as the only authorized manuscripts. These along with the early Church leaders quotes, and the ancient Bibles they all match, along with the KJB. No missing verses, phrases, passages etc!

@@terencealbertmcbain8041 We know for a fact it's not "Jehovah". We know from the shorten form of the name that the first "syllable" was "Yah". Therefore the ending is what we're not sure about yet. It's either "Yahweh" or "Yahoweh". However in the New Covenant, this name is not the name we need to focus upon. We now call upon the name of Jesus.

@@terencealbertmcbain8041’m glad to hear that if you’ve repented and believed the gospel that by faith in the blood of Christ, you are now saved. I don’t know if that guy who responded to you named Kyle even listened to this video. Dr. Combs explained that Yahweh comes from the word, “Jove” which was a pagan god. The correct name is Jehovah. The KJV is the perfect translation of the Bible in English. Many people say that it’s difficult to understand because it’s old. There are some words used that are not commonly used now, but you can look them up. You’ll get used to the language and sentence structure. The new versions have removed verses and changed words. My strong encouragement is to read the KJV. David Daniels from Chick publications has a lot of great material and so does the King James Bible Research Council. Feel free to respond if you have any questions.

From their site "In 1995, the NASB went through an update, removing the archaic language of “thee,” “thou,” and “thy”. The result was the NASB ’95, which serves as the base text for the LSB." The NASB is based on the corrupt nestle-aland / ubs novum testamentum graece. Compare for example 1 john 5: 7 KJV vs LSB....oops....corrupted!

It is an awesome translation based on the Critical Gnostic Alexandrian and the Catholic Vaticanus manuscripts of questionable origin. I prefer a translation of the accepted majority texts in use and accepted for centuries until Wescott and Hort showed up in the 1800s and polluted the waters. It does not say the Name correctly and it grates my ears to hear it read out loud. Shalom.

Lord is a TITLE, not an actual Name. Yahuah is God's Rightful Name! Yahusha is the name of our Savior. There is no "J" in Hebrew and I don't care if the New Covenant is in Greek. Our Savior was Hebrew, not a Gentile! You have no problem addressing Satan by his proper name, although, you should call him Lord Ba'al!!!
