Dr. Leavesque, I would love to help answer some of these seemingly discrepancies and provide answers using the Chayyim Rabbinic Text if you, Dr. Brown, and Dr. Stringer are not opposed. Thank you for your consideration.
Sounds like your god is the KJV instead of Christ. I thought the Gospel message was about the true Word, Jesus Christ, not about a translation of the holy scriptures.
Preservance of the word of god to the best of their ability absolutely is worship - of the God who gave it to us. Those on the other end of the fence want to disparage scripture and say it’s open to interpretation. Therefore it can change. What side of the fence are you on?
God magnifies His word above His name. The word of God is how he communicates with us. Modern versions are translated from a different set of Greek manuscripts (the critical text), and even the (corrupt) septuigent which is the Greek version of the Old Testament. Modern Bibles have different doctrinal conclusions than the king James Bible. Psalm 138:2 (KJV) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
@@SpargoLife I used to believe that until I read more about it. I’m not here to fight about it, but if you are interested in the other viewpoint I recommend David W. Daniel’s book “Did Jesus use the septuagint?” He has a YT video playlist as well.
You were there? cause the writings of the septuagint dont match the quotations from Jesus either. Besides one letter known to be a fraud there is no evidence of any Jew or ancient person reading a septuagint. @@SpargoLife
James White attacks the MT. Anthony Rogers and all his pals attacks the MT Michael Burgos attacks the MT We do not have the LXX. It is gone from history. There were a number of Greek translations, and we don't know which manuscripts or codicies are which. The LXX was commissioned for the Greek library system.
