Great interview. Very serious and interesting subject is "super-fit, young athletes suffer sudden cardiac arrest?" What are the actual numbers historically? Is it increased? We have seen deaths on sport fields and athletes early retirement.
No to mandatory vaccines and to passports. 'Quebec govt announces it will make unvaccinated pay a “Health care contribution” . This is a New World. Using universal public health system to financially punish based on behaviour.'
@@lynnedinsdale5009 You can build internment camps but that's only half the job, you still need to fill them with people and that's not as easy as simply making a decree! Separating families, husbands, wives, children from their loved ones and rounding them up to dump in death camps in order to "protect" society from a cold isn't an easy sell to the masses and not something individual governments could achieve without the support of their respective citizenry! Government ambition outweighs their influence and we are beginning to see that across the globe where authoritarian power grabs are being met with significant, growing resistance. I hope they try because that will bring the whole crooked system tumbling down and the people will finally take back their freedoms! This only ends when we collectively decide that it does!

@@nsudatta-roy8154 I understand what you’re saying, and I am triple vaccinated against covid, but it’s not “mass delusion” for me to want to get the vaccine willingly based on what I’ve heard about it. I also agree with a viewpoint on people not wanting to get a vaccine, but you shouldn’t shun someone else for having a different viewpoint.
I am so sad that the NHS has come to this. Not allowing informed consent or personal choice. Threatening staff who have looked after so many Covid patients with loss of their careers and livelihoods.
@@leavesofchange Nope like all our public and political institutions the NHS, (which was actually abolished about 10 years ago by The Health & Social Care Bill,) is rotten to core. The problems at Mid Staffs, (which had gone on for years,) were clearly identified and described in The Francis Report, but not a single individual or organization was ever held accountable for, "the appalling suffering of many patients," and, "the preventable deaths of perhaps 1200 patients." "Building on the report of the first inquiry, the story it tells is first and foremost of appalling suffering of many patients. This was primarily caused by a serious failure on the part of a provider Trust Board. It did not listen sufficiently to its patients and staff or ensure the correction of deficiencies brought to the Trust’s attention. Above all, it failed to tackle an insidious negative culture involving a tolerance of poor standards and a disengagement from managerial and leadership responsibilities." "The story would be bad enough if it ended there, but it did not. The NHS system includes many checks and balances which should have prevented serious systemic failure of this sort. There were and are a plethora of agencies, scrutiny groups, commissioners, regulators and professional bodies, all of whom might have been expected by patients and the public to detect and do something effective to remedy non-compliance with acceptable standards of care." " For years that did not occur."
Dr Steve James seems like the kind of doctor you want present in your darkest hours. Compassionate, calm and empathetic what a loss he would be to the NHS
I am in my darkest hour. I am in Wishaw Hospital in Scotland UK, facing major surgery first thing this morning, having fractured and dislocated my ankle. I am unvaxed and have requested 3 times, well in advance of going to op theatre, that I sign a form consenting to use only of unvaxed blood in event of any necessary transfusion during procedure. I have been told there is no filtering of vaxed or unvaxed blood for transfusion therefore my request is not possible. Can you please advise how I should proceed Dr Steve, anyone who understands my dilema? I cannot sleep worrying. In wide awake club.
@@mariemccormick4556 I am unvaccinated. And gladly give blood to you for operation, There must be many more who willing to help you do so. I am in the Usa. Africa has many unvaccinated and has had good health outcomes. Praying for you.
There has been a zero amount of real data that vaccines are safe and it remains between the individual and God of whose choice remains in a life and who has chosen death. May we choose life always and together we go together forever in God we trust, not first the mandate of officials. May God forever give all men wisdom, before power.
I also observed in the tone of officials and the conversations of common public that the page is turning. Being kind is a very good message for those who have been on the right side of the history in this pandemic.
The logic of the governments motive being patient safety collapses when an unvaccinated medical worker is not a health threat between now and midnight 31st march but is a sudden and unacceptable risk on April 1st...if pursued this policy sends a terrifying warning for the future.
The media are smearing this guy into oblivion and yet you watch this and he is a truly pragmatic and logical guy with a lot of common sense and respect for others. The world has gone mad
The Good Morning Britain interview was despicable. They constantly use language that puts him and his views down as a person, cut him off when he starts to explain himself, act like it is wrong to not want the vaccine and then give final word to their own so called in house (paid) doctor.
I don't know. Something about him came across as disingenuous to me. I totally agree with his stance on the mandate and I too have decided not to take up the Government's kind offer of a vaccine but I just felt that the good Doctor was not being honest with himself or the interviewer in particular his reasons for not wanting the vaccine. His apparent vagueness over whether he has actually had Covid stood out to me. As a Doctor I'm surprised he hasn't kept abreast of the asymptomatic transmission idea which is now being questioned as improbable (Please search for Dr Peter McCullough and make up your own mind on this). If he doesn't know whether he had it or not the likely hood is, all things considered, that he hasn't had it. Not that any of that matters. The point is, he shouldn't have to be forced to take a treatment in order to keep his job.
@@simonmorrison8570 I think that his explanation makes sense. He said he wasn't doing any testing and when he finally did test he had the antibodies for it. I could be wrong but I'm sure he wouldn't develop the antibodies without catching it right? You have to remember a lot of people got Covid without any symptoms at all and I am one of those people. My friends girlfriend had 0 symptoms as he had it quite bad. So it makes sense. I also think he is holding back because like a lot of people who do not want the vaccine he has done a lot of research and has found things that has not been televised, so he has to talk whilst withholding that knowledge and only speak about things that are on mainstream media.

I felt so uncomfortable for those 4 other nurses in that video that were asked their opinions on the mandate first, none of them wanted to answer, one just looked at the ground 😔
This doctor is the ultimate role model doctor. The doctor everyone wants. If he opened a private clinic he would get a lot of patients. What a loss for uk. Most doctors that I have met have been psychopathic, authoritarian and cold.

With days counting "there are 4 more days" etc. When we got to under a week, our ward manager called us into the office to "support us to take the jab" and had us sign a supervision paper that said this conversation had been had. What can I say? I need this job so I took the jab, even though I am healthy and fit. You don't know what the circumstances of those nurses are. It's not the "pandemic" that's caused the disruption, the reaction that's caused disruption! Good interview. Well done to the doctor, for his calm, measured responses.
An excellent point, and indeed grimly humorous as it is not the virus activity itself that kills patients, it's the immune response overreaction of some patients (The so called cytokine "storm", a bradykinin overproduction mediated by interleukin 6) that does so much damage. To our economy the damage is done by safetyism, opportunism and stupid tribal conflict which themselves are the response to fear that is largely self induced.
But he is wrong to compare the right to being anti-vaccination as a flat-earther; the latters ideas will not cause anyone else to die, someone who is not vaccinated can pass on a disease that can kill another person. This is the fundamental problem that most anti-vax people I've spoken to have, they do not recognise responsibility to the community with their behaviour they only consider themselves. The doctor states we should focus on those who are old or higher risk but completely ignores the fact that he has a greater probability of transmitting the virus to those people by not being vaccinated. Especially in his position as a doctor! Good grief.
@counselthyself You're absolutely right, vaccination does not stop transmission it reduces it. And when you are talking about billions of people that means saving thousands of lives. Statistics are boring but really important when it's you who's on a ventilator.
@@tb-cg6vd I know a number of triple vaxxed people (so that includes new booster) that have recently just caught covid! Most pointless vaccine I've ever come across. Or does it? 🤔 This whole "thinking of others" talk I'm not having that it's emotional blackmail. It's a personal choice at the end of the day and no one should be coherced into it of they don't want to.
@counselthyself Glad my pets aren't overvaccinated. I think people believing in vaccines are beyond repair. Vaccines has not saved humanity from anything.
@@warrengrant2992 Good Grief, as you didn't bother to read my other post I'll spell it out; it's all about statistics, vaccination or any healthcare procedure has a statistical outcome. As such, 1 million vaccinations will increase the chance of non-transmission and reduce severe disease from not being vaccinated, the science is absolutely clear, there is no debate - look at the graphs of real data from every country on the planet. 1 million vaccinations does not mean that 1 million people will not get any severe disease nor never transmit the virus, it is not a yes/no binary outcome. How hard is that to understand? I'll spell it out even more; we wear seatbelts as it reduces injury and fatalities in car accidents. That does not mean that everyone who wears a seatbelt survives a car accident. Now do you understand? As for your personal choice - bollocks. Do you have a personal choice over wearing a seat belt? Or how about a personal choice about putting your hand in my pocket and taking my wallet? Yes we 'think about others' as we live in a group and you wouldn't like it if your neighbour shot you because that was their personal choice. You can have a personal choice to not have a vaccination, no one is going to chase you down the street with a syringe, but in a pandemic I am happy that you will be asked to remain at home until it is over as your personal choice can kill other people.
I very much dislike that we must go from 'clap for the carers' to 'sack the carers'. This man has worked throughout the pandemic to care for very ill patients, and deserves praise for this. It just disgusts me that private health care choices are now exposed, out in the open, and that our civil liberties are now conditional on our health status.
Exactly in the beginning no one knew what were dealing with and these nhs staff put themselves at risk and were clapped. Now these people are being sacked

60+ years ago there was a worldwide push of TB vaccinations. I was a child in junior school. I remember being tested for natural immunity first. I was found to be naturally immune and therefore was not vaccinated. Most important to note I had never at any stage had TB but, living in Africa, I had been exposed to TB on a daily basis, thus my immune system built natural immunity. Surely this is now true of this doctor. He has been exposed to the virus everyday in carrying out his duties. They seem to have lost any consideration for them. Including refusing treatment to children whose parents are not vaccinated.
Exactly. Although, if a doctor does not agree and would not feel they were acting in a moral way (for example a doctor against euthanasia or abortion) than they should also not be forced to participate in care. What I am saying is of course the doctor should recommend and advise but the patient should have the final say as it is their body and their life (and each of us only has one each). But if a practicioner would be violating their own code and moral ethics by going with the patients wishes they too should be respected.

This particular field of Medicine is complex, requiring a cool head, lack of fear and at times a robotic rationality. He is an English, UK trained graduate (Oxbridge) so fluent and articulate. However, that does not mean that his arguments are all correct. The subservient abeyance of our mental faculties when a calm articulate, white male speaks is the road to ruin... 🤔
It's quite remarkable, thousands of doctors around the world refuse, with so many arguments, to take this inoculation, yet the masses, knowing nothing about it, wants to force it upon their neighbors.
@@yukyukyuk1335 No it won't be, the wave of resistance is building. If not him, perhaps others will pop up. As Victor Hugo said: ""Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come.""
Wonderful intelligent doctor.would trust this doctor with my life.i heard they are asking the unvaccinated medical staff to come back to hospitals abroad coz they are short staff
As an unvaccinated 60 year old, I found this fascinating. Thank you Dr Steve for standing up for all of us who feel unheard on this issue. I personally believed the link between serious impact of covid and obesity, and consequently lost over 70lbs since the pandemic began and took up running. I find it insulting that people who do nothing but allow themselves to be injected with a drug they know nothing about lecture me on my choices. When all the obese people take the pandemic seriously and do something about their health and fitness, I'll rethink my position on the vaccine.
A crack in the system Dr. Stillwagon is a former chiropractor and airline captain. He was an airline pilot for 33 years. For 26 years he was employed by Delta Airlines of which for 21 years he was a captain. He was forced to retire from Delta Airlines over refusing to wear a face mask as “part of his uniform.” He was forced to retire even though the airline admitted wearing a face mask did not stop the transmission of Covid and it was purely for “optics.”
As a retired nurse, I’ve had countless vaccines. My husband and I are now in our 70’s and we have declined the jabs (it’s not a vaccine..there’s no reliable data). Yellow card reporting system for adverse and side effects are astounding! Well done for sticking up for freedom of choice. Question: If unjabbed are so dangerous in nhs setting why wait till April?
Marie have you and your husband seen the whistle blower article in the BMJ regarding the Pfizer data being fabricated? It’s unbelievable. I can’t post the link as my comment is quickly removed….I’ve tried three times.
I don't care what his convictions are. He doesn't have access to the research that others do to make a decision. I have not seen a single report of the vaccine only reducing transmission for a few weeks of either variant. He's not an immunologist or a virologist.
@@V0lk As he says ‘Choice’. No other for me either. Otherwise it’s dictatorship and if the vaccine is so wonderful why worry about those who don’t get it! Leave them alone, their choice what they do or don’t do with their own body, which is theirs not government or anyone else’s for whatever reason they choose to have it or not.
@@V0lk If transmission isn't reduced after a few weeks/ months, why are we being asked to have two vaccinations plus a booster? (I haven't seen any research one way or the other to be honest).
@@V0lk lol the pfizer CEO literally came out and said it yesterday. Is that not proof enough? In fact he went even further and said the vaccines in fact didn't provide much immunity at all.
I blindly went to have my first jab mid 2021, knowing I'm young, perfectly healthy without any previous health problems or allergies. Only to go into anaphylaxis, which was a first in my life. It really opened my eyes. I put my life at risk to receive a vaccination for an illness that probably wouldn't have affected me at all. I tested positive for Covid a few weeks ago completely asymptomatic, I don't know how it would have affected me unvaccinated but I can almost guarantee it wouldn't have affected me like the vaccine did. I made that decision to get vaccinated, if someone else is coerced into that and has serious side effects it is truly unethical. I now understand why we should have control of what we do with our bodies, we need to be able to weigh up factors and make an informed choice.
Steve is also giving a voice to the lesser people that might be more disposable in his environment. He's got balls to speak up/out before hopefully not getting cancelled.
It's disgusting that you have to choose between the two but there is nothing more important than your health so if you do have concerns about this then no, you shouldn't be forced into taking it
I’m just getting over Covid pneumonia. I’m not vaxed and I’m grateful my outcome thus far is positive. Let’s all start respecting one and other and our individual choices. No one size fits all.

@@chrisjie2127 he would have to retrain from the start of residency, not worth it especially considering he is a consultant here already. Better to go middle East or AU/NZ to work as consultant there.
@@bobsmithy9024 I don't think you've been paying attention on the whole omicron situation have you? Even with Delta it wouldn't really matter, people can still pass on the virus after being vaccinated, because they're wrongly assuming they're not sick, while chances of it being asymptomatic are most certainly there.
This doctor comes across as such an intelligent and thoughtful man. I would think that it would be SO IMPORTANT for the NHS to keep him. Not lose him for the sake of a stupid vaccine which is now looking hardly worthwhile.
He's an IT guy not a doctor. He's also happy for people to believe misinformation like flat earth "theory" and admitted early in this very interview that his anecdotal evidence is blinding him to the scientific research. Don't listen to him just because he sounds put together and wears classes.
@@samjones7296 you have totally missed the point.....of course he is happy for people to believe the world is flat why wouldn't he??? Because everybody is different and has different beliefs it doesnt affect him if the are flat earthers he is happy for people to have different opinions on things which is exactly how society should be! Secondly he is a doctor!! Do your research before gobbing off it takes 12 to 15 years to become an anaesthetist they are doctors who have chosen after qualifying to undertake post graduate specialist training of at least 7 years in anaesthesia , intensive care medicine and pain management , meaning he did his 5 years medical training to become a doctor first then moved on to a specific field it actually makes him more qualified than your standard GP. Thirdly to try and make your point valid you have addressed his ability to articulate himself and how he looks to confirm some kind of bias you have?? The blokes clearly highly educated and yes is very articulate so more than likely has done his research and working in icu over the pandemic has seen it all which have you ever thought may well not have been bad enough to convince him to have the vaccine or maybe he has seen lots of people with bad side effects from the jab?? He did state that in another interview. Lastly as a human being he has a choice to do as he pleases and is happy to lose his job over it so good for him I say.
@@TheTraditionalGolfer at the 10minute mark he literally calls himself an IT consultant. Ok but if my "opinion" is 2+2=5 I don't get to involve myself in serious public discussions about maths when those discussions had a life or death outcome for 150,000 people (deaths per day on par with British ww2 deaths btw...) Forming an opinion based on personal experience with a small sample size is not a good way to form an opinion. He admits this is how he formed his opinion with his weird tiger analogy, saying his anecdotal evidence is more important than the scientific studies. It's absurd. His whole argument is that he has antibodies which make him immune but admits they (like the vaccine) will wear off eventually. So what then? By his logic his solution would be "get covid again", risking his own health and that of others around him AND causing scheduling issues for the NHS who many people's lives depend on. The sensible answer is... Get jabbed, experience minute side effects at most and get on with it. Still waiting for literally any evidence that vaccines cause serious problems btw... He said that human being thing in this interview too. So? Good riddance, clearly isn't fulfilling his hippocratic oath if he won't care for the well-being of his patients.
@@samjones7296 just to address your points his tongue in cheek statement about being an IT consultant clearly isn't true and we have already established his qualifications being more than your run of the mill GP. You say he has an opinion with a small sample size as opposed to yours??? ( Sorry I missed what you do as a profession??) Of course his tiger analogy is correct 👍 I'm 42 fit and healthy im not jabbed and have had covid 3 weeks ago...it did nothing it was very mild and like he correctly stated his antibodies will drop off less than somebody who has been vaccinated! He didn't pull that out of his arse he pulled that from a scientific paper written about the Oxford vaccine so again this articulate intelligent doctor has done his research. You also make the point of him not being jabbed affects the patients and his ability to serve the NHS??? Did you know getting jabbed doesnt stop you spreading it!! So jabbed or not you still spread the virus so that doesn't count oh and if he gets jabbed and gets covid and tests positive he has to self isolate at home so thats rubbish to....and the reason why is because a jabbed positive person can still spread so this vaccine to somebody fit and healthy makes no difference at all he would still have to go home and he can still spread it and he already knows his immune system is more than capable of dealing with covid if he contracts it again. And as for your evidence on the vaccine causing issues..have you been hiding under a rock?? He gave you the numbers 1 in 45000 get serious issues from it my best friends wife is now wheel chair bound for the rest of her life from the vaccine and 2 women in my village both have serious heart conditions from it all confirmed from there doctor all fit and well and reasonably young before having it thats 3 people I know straight away, do you want to know how many people I know have had to go to hospital because of covid? None not 1 but like you say my limited experience isn't enough to make an informed answer so I will continue to listen to health professionals who deal with it day in and day out and understand the science because there more educated than myself 👍 now if this vaccine is the silver bullet you guys like to think of it as get on with it you have been jabbed you have nothing to worry about you shouldn't have an issue with somebody who hasn't and what there narrative is and remember you can still spread it my friend jabbed or not you don't get to wonder around if you test positive oh no you have to isolate to keep others safe and the rules for me being not vaccinated is GUESS WHAT exactly the same as you 😂 👍 live and live my friend and maybe the penny will drop one day.
@@samjones7296 oh and one more stat for you to think about in total 5.5 million people worldwide have died from covid as of January 2022 the world's population is 7.7 billion ok so if we think of just one percent of the worlds population that would be 77 million people 🤔 so let's get this straight if we establish that the virus for figures sake has been around 2 years and its killed 2.75 million people a year that would mean at its current rate it would take 28 years to kill just 1 percent of the worlds population so another way to look at it is if you live for the next 28 years you have a 99 percent chance of survival with covid around 😉 i hope that helps ease some of your fears 👍
A Genuine deadly pandemic doesn't require 24/7 advertising. Real pandemics don't need constant marketing campaigns and endless propaganda. Psychological Ops on the other hand... DO. Just some food for thought. Sincerely, Unvaxxinated
2 women that live in the same village to me just down the road have both now developed Myocarditis from the vaccine I was talking to one of them she said her Gp is 99 percent sure it was the vaccine that caused it.....not good there seems to be a lot of these cases popping up now.
They never count on a men with this much integrity standing up to them. Why is that? Is it because they exist in a world of people with absolutely no integrity? They simply cannot imagine such people exist, to be honest I had started to believe they had disappeared too. Thank you Dr Steve James, a single man of integrity like you can make such a huge difference.
I ignored restrictions from day 1. Never ever wore a mask. Attended 3 anti restriction demos. Helped Post 5000 anti Lockdown /Restriction leaflets in N/E.
It's been genuinely frightening how quickly this country has largely abandoned seeing privacy, caution and personal liberty as sacred. We seem to be more conformist and intolerant than ever. We are drifting toward being more like China and excepting authoritarianism. All this at a time when the political class are blatantly incompetent and corrupt. If I could emigrate I would although I love the UK.
I'm a pilot in europe, unvaccinated against covid. I've had so much exposure to this virus while traveling, staying in hotel etc. I had a symptomatic response to the delta strain. I still have antibodies nearly a year after infection. I'm not afraid of this virus, but I am afraid of how hysterical people are about it.
So articulate and calm. I'm so pissed off and have so much anxiety about all of this, that when I speak about it I get agitated and just don't have composure like this guy has. Because I have felt a great sense of threat, and like many people am a lot less healthy than I was 2 years ago because this world has become a fearful and morbidly dark and unhealthy one to live in. People need more than to be free of pathogens to live happy and health lives. We need governments to mind their own fucking business when it comes to public health, when clearly they are not objective, thoughtful, or particularly smart....or honest.
I’m an ICU nurse and I stand by this Dr! I and many others feel the same as him, we are just shut down and unable to speak! I will lose my job after 10 years service in ICU in the NHS. It’s sad, but the government and collective world have lost their marbles. Critical thinking and logic are replaced by Twitter rants and deliberate bending of the truth.
Absolutely agree with you, my son is an ICU nurse and is facing off to this mandate also….he feels so pressured 😢…I stand by what this Dr is saying too…so wish many more would speak up, but I understand why they don’t…The “Media” and government have a lot to answer for 😡😡
my respect to you as an ICU nurse. You guys do amazing work there :-) I have no more respect to lose for this government, but wow, the direction the western world is turning to is scary. I say this as someone who's grown up in a totalitarian regime and moved here for "a better life".
I admire his courage in standing up to estalishment. We have rules but they are needlessly oppressive just to snatch power. More doctors like him are needed and government own up to mistakes and stop mandates.
I was vaccinated when I was a kid, and also vaccinated my kids when I became a mother, and never question this. It was the usual thing to do. When this covid vaccine was ready so soon, I got curious about to learn about vaccines, and started to search about this topic to find out that the safety study takes years; so using my critical thinking skills, I realized I wanted to get the jab because of fear of getting sick, so I refused to be control by fear, and I decided not to get vaccinated without good, long safety studies. I’m happy I didn’t fall into the mass formation.

No disease has ever been demonstrated to be transmissible under controlled conditions. Rigorous scientific investigations have been carried out on this historically and they consistently failed to show that disease symptoms can be passed from person to person (e.g. the Gallops Island study into the supposedly highly-infectious "Spanish Flu"). This idea that _asymptomatic_ people can spread disease is a complete farce. *Symptomatic* people don't even spread disease! The idea that people catch diseases off each other is the world's most prevalent and most dangerous superstition.

@@norwegianzound So tell me what is the science on asymptomatic spread? And what are the differences in viral load between the vaccinated and unvaccinated? A study from the University of California, Davis, Genome Center, UC San Francisco and the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub shows no significant difference in viral load between vaccinated and unvaccinated people who tested positive for the delta variant of SARS-CoV-2. It also found no significant difference between infected people with or without symptoms.
It's wise people like yourself and other health are professionals that we need to look up to. Why have these professionals chosen not to take the vaccine surely they know more than they can state.
