Once you heal your gut your entire life changes. From your mood to your physicality. Age then really is only a number cause you just feel phenomenal. Im 69 and I feel like my birth certificate made an error. Im really 29! Ha ha .... Thanks guys. Im a hugh fan of Gary and associates.
All these comments pro carnivore and this and that. It’s not a competition. What works for one person won’t for another, and vice versa. I was an avid believer in carnivore and did it for 6 months with only the highest quality grass fed meats, salt, lard etc, did it 100%. But I ran into electrolyte issues and chronic constipation (literally passing stools every 5-7 days).. Added fruits, that changed everything, then added veggies and dramatically decreased meat. My gut microbiome is far stronger and more diverse. Everyone is different, GO WITH YOUR GUT instinct with whats right for you. A lot of hype surrounding carnivore. All historic dishes from around the world contained an abundant amount of fruits and vegetables. Eating ribeye after ribeye was never on the menu.
carnivore may make people feel better in the short term, as they're eliminating most of the foods that can cause the issues, but will it fix the root cause? will it work long term? what gonna happen when they don't have access to their high quality meat and they have to eat something different? people that eat variety of foods with diverse microbiome will adapt easily and 'survive' and keep thriving, how about carnivores?
@@peacequeen2579that’s your body telling you… I’m in my late twenties… they found 3 polyps in my colon after being carnivore… If that’s ain’t enough to say we shouldn’t only be eating meat, then I don’t know what is? 80% fruits and vegetables 20% meat. Or adjust depending on your lifestyle and goals. Bodybuilders need higher protein Some athletes need higher carbs etc Alkaline diet is what you want. That’s how you cure disease and live long!
It's common knowledge that this happens to everyone who does not have a lot of fiber in their diet. The more fiber you eat, the easier it becomes for you to tolerate high fiber foods.
I am so glad that you had Dr. Will on your show he is amazing! I am reading Fiber Fueled and it is so well written, easy to understand and follow and his cookbook is just as amazing!
This is the 1st Podcast I have listened to with Gary Brecka - and the reason I watched it is because Dr. Will B. was on! I was NOT disappointed!!!!!!!! I enjoyed it thoroughly and am fascinated by all that he said about the microbiome. I suffer from Collagenous Microscopic Colitis and want to get off of these steroids and supplements. THANK YOU for all the excellent information!!! I am going to continue to educate myself on this and change my diet & lifestyle.
I was diagnosed with the exact same thing with a few years of budesonide. And that caused a numerous amount of side effects. Fast forward years later…..I’m 9 months on carnivore and so many health issues have disappeared!!! The only strange thing I have is needing to take psyllium husk twice a day to maintain normal bowel movements….otherwise it would be diarrhea MANY times a day!!! The last issue I need to combat. Good luck to you!!❤️✌🏼
Omgosh such a great interview thank you!!! May I ask what happens to my microbiome when part of my colon has been removed?? I had 4 ft taken out. Kind of a scary thought.
I had (2) 8 hour surgeries back to back with one day in between this past December at MD Anderson for Chondrosarcoma and I am still in recovery but cancer free. I honestly believe that although nobody can tell me “how” I got cancer I think it came from processed foods, stuff in our drinking water, chemicals and pesticides, and the daily compounding insufficiency of everything God designed us to live on like sunlight, oxygen, exercise, vitamins, etc. I am 32 years old and considered “healthy” by society and doctor standards which is a part of the reason why I really believe the rise in cancer cases primarily comes from all of the non natural man made things we are putting in our bodies.
@@ozzymer I’ve watched a lot of videos on gut health and they say 30+ plants per week. That can mean fruits, beans/legumes, nuts, veggies, seasonings, etc. Of course meat is allowed as well. If you watch any of Paul Saladinos content, he’s huge on red meat, cooking in beef tallow, and a whole lot of other stuff. But he also lives in Costa Rica and he’s rich so his entire day is dedicated to health.
There are a large # of narcissists (narrow minded, insecure know -it-alls) in medicine who are more interested in being right than doing what is in the best interest of their patients.
Read this book. Healing SIBO in 21 days by Shivan Sarna. I had so many signs and got it way better this summer. I was feeding it with too many veggies!
Have a scoop of inulin in my coffee every morning, and tablespoon of basil seed in my coconut yogurt everyday, big leafy green salad with chicken or tuna along with a variety of vegetables olive oil and lemon juice for lunch everyday as well👍 and this doesn’t include what I have at dinner. And a lot of spices, which are plants and count as well😁
I'd love to see information on how to diagnose issues like infections, mold, lyme, Sibo, candida can impact digestion and how to fix it. It's much more than eating certain foods. Definitely good point on asking how to just get started!
what is the diffrence between the hydrogen water and cangen or yang water?

I'm just getting started with the carnivore diet and I watched a video in which the person was actually very healthy on a Paleo/Keto type of diet including a healthy microbiome and had their microbiome tested before and after 3 months on Carnivore. The testing indicated that their microbiome was actually better after the 3 months on Carnivore. Also, the expert that tested their microbiome told them that it was advantageous to change up their diet by cycling fermented foods in and out of the diet on a regular basis. What's the reality regarding this incident? In general, what's the on scoop on the carnivore diet and gut health? I'm assuming that there are many hardcore long-term carnivores out there who have a very healthy and diverse microbiome.
I have a 15 yr old girl with anxiety & attention issues & she is a good eater then I have a 14 yr old boy who is a horrible eater. What supplements do I give him?
There are a lot of schools on thought on this issue. Some say strict Carnivore Fatty Beef and Fatty Lamb is the way to a healthy gut and ending Metabolic Disease. Some say fermented vegetables added. And some say Vegan. Although I am strict Carnivore, I am of the camp that fermented vegetables with Carnivore would be fine. Of course as I get more educated on the subject, my thoughts may change.
Your gut microbiome requires amino acids and fatty acids. These are essential. Fiber is a chain of indigestible sugar molecules and cannot be digested. It’s non essential so to say we are deficient is total. Just ask anyone suffering from IBS, IBD. Eliminate Fiber. Short chain fatty acids are plentiful in animal produce. Malpractice from a gastroenterologist
Malpractice? I am healing my IBS and I now figured out how bad brocoli is but I am out of ideas for sources of vitamin C other than a few berries or potato
@@lcmlcm2460 maybe the main point is to exercise fasted. I do my 30-45 minutes, daily, between noon and 3 pm before I break my fast…but not everyone can do that.
Tbh he looks healthier than Gary. Yeah, he could probably cut down the carbs by 20% and add some cardio in. But he certainly looks healthy enough to me.
