This is a good example of how the original didn't have any serious plot holes and didn't exhibit anything that couldn't really happen.

An alternate universe the prequel actually came out before the 2003 remake and in the alternate universe the 2003 film is a sequel. The only other thing that’s changed is that this came out in 2003 while the first remake came out in 2006.

I don't think Luda mae hewitt is hoyts wife, I think its his Mom. AND the mask in the beginning Erics face is supposed to be the killing mask im the remake.

This movie was okay, especially because of R. Lee Ermey. But there were too many dumb horror movie decisions and plot contrivances. The worst by far was how in the hell was Leatherface smart enough to hide in the back of the car? He never does anything nearly that smart in any of the movies I've seen. And the contrivance of killing *two* cops and seemingly getting away with it was bad even for a horror movie. You can't make even one cop disappear without other cops coming looking, and now two? It isn't going to take much investigating to catch the happy cannibal family.

TCM 2 was hilarious! I never laughed so much at a horror movie! From the Sunny Bono wig to chainsaw try out …I’m still laughing! The original TCM I’d seen at a drive in. When there were drive in before idiots ruined that! My favorite as well! The new ones I thought we’re good! In fact I went to the house a few years back! Took a flyer from the gate! The creepy windmill my son took pictures of me under it!

it's wack, this is why I don't like prequels, if anyone ever has the chance watch this one first, then the remake, they are so much better that way, not on the same level as the originals of course, but as thier own thing, they really are pretty decent watches, Michael bay doesn't get enough credit, cause his company does a good job at remakes, this an especially Friday the 13th are really good for their own thing, nothing can ever really beat the original movies, but as a stand alone thing they can be fun, the evil dead, total recall, and fright night, are also solid watches as thier own movies

This is my FAVORITE Horror movie of all time !!! More story then it had to tell. Matt Bomer and Jordana Brewster were great, watch the opening scene of the victims and than watch Matt Bomers death scene, they quote their first Scene, "How Many kids? , What are their name?, AWESOME!!!
