Lots of good information that is applicable for growing Dracenas in any climate. ~ In my experience, some of the variegated and colorful Dracena fair ok in direct sun but in general your lighting recommendations are a good guide to follow. Folks can experiment cautiously. ~ When keeping newly purchased Dracena in pots I have found that it’s good to up pot them once they have acclimated to their new location . They have extensive root systems and thus giving the roots space to grow results in vigorous, healthier foliage growth. ~ Great video!
Thanks. I tried to streamline my videos to be under 6 minutes, but I didn't make it. I think dracaenas are good plants, both because of appearance and easy maintenance, but my pink variegated one is turning faded pink and sage colored in the bright sun, and sickly in the shade. I bought the plants at the same time, and ... you know, it could be the harsh autumn sun. It stressed all my plants. I'm sad about the pink fading. My yellow dracaena stays yellow in the shade and in the direct sun.
@@PlantsaremyTherapy - Yes, I also had some yellowing of some plants, even those that were in direct sun all summer, in the bright autumn sun this year. Many days had low humidity, so that makes the sun more intense.

I am very happy to know that you remembered me all the way from Hawaii!!! Its been really a tough year. My 85yrs mom got sick right in the middle of the pandemic and had to get a pacemaker. So you can imagine my fear and desperation. TG she is all right now. Again, continue strong, moving forward, happy days will come. I am here. Blessings!

One of it died as I have placed it in continuous watering system and one I'm trying to rescue due to excess water too. At times I think I rather grow orchid they thrive better with my care, then I stumble a plant next thing I know it's in my house😁

If I had your talent, all my family portraits would be created by me. I tried painting a family portrait of my grandmother and siblings when I was in college, but I couldn't handle all the criticism. I wish I did more. I wished I kept it up. I enclosed our lanai (porch) to be my studio, but then the kids came and it became a playroom. Then the grandkids came... seems like life goes so fast.
