We put two of the world's fastest midsize performance SUVs against each other in a drag race - The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63S, and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Combining family friendly practicality and sports car rivalling performance, both cars are very evenly matched on paper. But how do they compare in the real world? That Alfa just looks so good in blue/black. I know red is their colour, but wow. Also, I love how normal it is these days to have 500 hp in small SUVs . I think that's more than the Ferrari F430 had.

We got a Stelvio with sport options as our rental car and usually we are picky with what car we get since we have it for usually around two months during vacation and for the first Alfa I have ever driven. SJW Maniac Alfa romeos don’t sell because they just started selling them again In North America. They only make and sell a few thousand and don’t even have a lot of dealers or ads like Mercedes. Also, rarer is better so I’m not sure what you’re getting at.

As a new Stelvio Quad owner I loved this video. But I do miss my old Guilia quad for its lighter slightly more nimble handing. Bottom these Stelvios are a great great practical daily driver. No matter where you live. Happy new year all. Damn we are all so spoiled.

Alfa has done quite a job..since 2009 .. Giuletta qv faster than the gti 4c with the 1750t beats its competitors Giulia faster than the M3 Stelvio breaks lap records faster than Porsche Maccan and merc .. Hope they keep it like this

0-100 in 3.8???...I remember 92 when E36 M3 was launched...my gosh, Tiff would play ballet with it and then make it scamper off like a dog with a lit firecracker in its arse- it was the fastest thing this side of a ferrari- now, the tatooed gym-freak with pet-snakes instead of a tv in the lounge is abt to get embarrased by an entry class off-road wagon driven by an IT geek who drinks chicken-milk everymorning...what a world- I dont think I wanna die anymore- ever....

I find it surprising that the heavier yet torquier Mercedes gets the better start yet still comes second across the line. Great cars and an interesting comparison.

The extra torque gets the car going quicker but the the power to weight of the Alfa takes over after time

@@essayedgar It is better. The only trashy car now is the Mercedes. A low cost car is more reliable nowdays. Mercedes maybe has the worst electric issues i have seen in the car industry. So yea its trashy nowdays. Goodbye.

Now that Alfa have got RWD and 4WD chasis, they MUST build a big 4 door competing with the E-class and the 5-series and with that 2.9 V6, it would be sweeeet!
