me starting this video: no chance she adequately summarizes this whole story in 5 minutes me after watching: oh wow, yea, that's pretty much the whole gist

"Unfortunately, the orb is destroyed. Solas is gutted at its loss, but you move on..." 😂 The tone for that sentence though hahahaha, especially from a Solavellan perspective!

Inqusition is my first Dragon Age game i got it back in 2021 but it got stuck in backlog limbo until last year when i properley played trough it for the first time. Veilgaurd is the first Da game im geting at launch and im glad to be sharing the hype with you all Also Catie thank you for getting me into the lore around the Elven gods and everything to do with Solas

After having it recapped like this, can anyone tell me what Corypheus' plan was? I previously assumed he was a basic bitch and just wanted to remake old Tevinter and rule as emperor. However, only some of his actions make sense in that context: - Subverting the templars: He's building a red lyrium army. Maybe he could've chosen a templar stronghold closer to his power base, but they happened to gather in southern Ferelden. - Subverting the rebel mages: Sure, mage supremacy, he's into that, and they happen to be holed up around Redcliffe. - Attacking Haven: There's people there who thwarted him earlier. - Trying to assassinate Celene: He wants to invade Orlais eventually, so he needs it to be in disarray (although one could argue it already is, given the civil war). - Attacking Skyhold at the end: There's people there who thwarted him all throughout the game. Kinda petty and scattershot, as far as villain plans go. But he also does a lot of _weird_ shit: - He kills Justinia, apparently needing her as a sacrifice for something. (?? If you want to hobble the Chantry and prevent peace between mages and templars, just kill her! Why attempt a blood ritual in the middle of the Conclave, _in person?_ Justinia isn't special, she's just some woman. You don't even subscribe to the religion that considers her special!) - We never learn what he wanted with the orb (or "the Anchor"). He certainly doesn't want to tear down the Veil. Having the orb's power "ruined" by the Inquisitor doesn't stop his plans. - He's faking a Calling to make Grey Wardens gather in the western deserts, so he can feed them to a terror demon. They trapped him before, so this could be Corypheus taking them out of the picture? - Speaking of faking a Calling, he also commands a dragon who serves as his phylactery, but is not an archdemon. Corypheus is like an off-brand budget-Blight. What's that about? - He's searching the Arbor Wilds for the Temple of Mythal, in order to get the Well of Sorrows. What does he hope to gain from it? Much of what he does seems completely disconnected from any cohesive goal, and his Venatori army can apparently march across the continent and back without anyone noticing them. It's strange, especially since you're always reacting to him - "Corypheus is at Weisshaupt, eating griffon eggs!" "...What?" "It's not any stranger than last time, let's just go!" I wonder if Veilguard will retroactively give him some semblance of a plot - maybe Corypheus was trying to release the Evanuris all along.

I definitely needed this recap thank you! One thing I keep missing all these years is why Solas really changed his mind about the veil, like, you're getting rid of it to bring the 'world as you know it' back, but you made it in the first place? you're driving the car bruh idk

1800 hrs into inquisition. And I seriously doubt I'm going to buy Vanguard. Not because I don't want the game but in the intervening 10 years I have become disabled and don't have an income was really looking forward to this game

Minor nitpick, but Sera isn't the leader of the Red Jennies, the Red Jennies have no leader because it's just a bunch of strangers who keep in touch with each other for pranking purposes
