Gogeta and Vegito are the exact same strength, never has it been said that fusion dance and potara offer different strength levels. Even with Gogeta getting canonized in the Broly movie, they didnt have potara, so they learned the fusion dance. Arguing over their looks is fine, but power wise they are obviously the exact same.
