Dbs broly is labeled as “broly(super)” on the website which heavily implies dbz broly will be in the base game, cause otherwise there would be no reason to label him in the first place
The Japanese website has Broly DBS listed as just "Broly", but that could be because he is considered the canon Broly. They could still list the other Broly on the Japanese website as "Broly Z" but who knows.
@@DiegoBuitrago-om2zo I’m confident he will be. we already got history of trunks gohan which is a movie character which may confirm he may not be the only movie character being on the roster. my fear isn’t that characters like z broly will be dlc but GT characters most definitely will be. Every universe we see in the tournament should have at least one person representing them. Universe 6,7, and 11 are obvious. Universe 10- Obni Universe 2 - Kamikaze Fireballs Universe 3 - Aniraza and Maji Kayo Univeese 4 - Ganos Universe 9 - trio de danger
I'm still most concerned about the Single Player content and how much of that there is. It's why I still personally liked Tenkiachi 2 more than 3, hopefully we find out more about that soon.
Yeah with you on that one, feel like they had so much potential for that in FighterZ and didn’t do anything with it. Personally I am hoping for a more story oriented single player game like the other budokai tenkaichi series than an online experience because I wouldn’t play online much at all.
I'm hoping the story is fleshed out more. In bt3, I liked how it felt cinematic but it seemed they skipped a lot of potential battles considering how large the roster was. Reason was probably it was a ps2 game and they were limited so having a large roster made cuts elsewhere. They shouldn't have to do that here so I hope for a fleshed out story mode with SO many characters
The biggest wildcard I'm surprised you didn't discuss was Arale. She has as many reasons to be cut as she does to stay. She is a super fan favorite in Japan and Mexico. She was in BT3 AND appears in Super TWICE. It's a nice way to honor Toriyama's entire legacy outside of Dragon Ball (although that is more fan whimsy on my part than an actually reason for her to be in the game). However, she's not very popular outside of Japan and Mexico as far as I'm aware. She doesn't need to be there for story events, and she's not REALLY a DB character. I'm curious as to what your thoughts on her were since you just seemed to lump her in with the Dragon Ball characters.
Well if they were to honor his entire legacy then we would have characters from Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest and Sand Land. His presence is more than just Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump.

im very much behind the idea that whoever made it to raging blast 2 will guaranteed be in this game with maybe the exception of hachiyack and the ss3s. all those animations and movesets can be recycled easily
Hey Omega. Since i am having a hard time hearing what you're saying in the video due to loud music and even with substitles, i'll try to do my best to point out something. You said kakunsa being in then it would make sense for ribrianne to make it in. However. You forgot Rozie. They work as a trio. When you mentioned Bergamo and Giant Bergamo, i think the philosophy should remain the same. Meaning: If you have Bergamo, you should count in Basil and Lavender. They are trio de danger and it makes sense for these 3 to be in, if one of em is in. Just like with the ribrianne analogy. As for Gogeta and Vegetto. I tried really hard to think of something. I was thinking. Maybe they can LOCK transformations behind specific characters. For example, you could have only 1 vegetto and 1 gogeta. Both have Base, SSJ and Blue. Example: If you pick Buu Saga Goku/Vegeta, then you can't get SSB. It's locked behind two specific requirements. You need the Super version of Goku and Vegeta. As for the gogeta clothes. The coding will detect the two versions of the character you use. So it can default Movie Gogeta to using the orange vest instead of yellow.
i’m still holding out hope for classic db. that story in a game this good looking would be a dream. this game has a chance to be the first one to tell the entire canonical story of dragonball!
@@voiceunderthecovers Nah, I'm pretty sure it will happen , just as DLC. Wayy later on though. You don't need a lot more characters besides the one's already in BT3 to make it work tbh. Add kid Krillin, teen Tien and Yamcha, also Teen Goku and Piccolo 'Junior'. and it's done. I'm more concerned about the story mode though, hopefully there's some type of free roaming.
Chiaotzu is going to be in. You can't have tien without chiaotzu. Plus, he was one of the only few characters with telekinesis, one of the few moves in Dragon ball that is underrated
Good to see you! Also, I feel like for minions the devs can simply implement them as NPC AI for story mode and other modes. Giving them basic movesets but not making them playable to flesh out playable characters imo.
Great video as usual but the audio balance is a little off from my listening, might simply be my headset but the music is a lot louder than it should be and feels like it's slightly drowning out your voice.
Man, I really don't want Cell Max in the game. That is like, the one character I'm okay with not appearing whatsoever. Worst part of the entire Super Hero movie by far.

I think we'll keep the What-if Apes, just to pad out the roster since they're so easy to make, and since there's so few Giants to pull from without the Z movies. The franchise seems to be avoiding Z Broly. I have doubts he'll make it in even as DLC. You say he'd make a good face for a "Z Movie Character Pack," But Coola would as well, and wouldn't mess with their "brand synergy," or whatever the reason is that they're avoiding Z Broly. You also didn't mention the video-game original characters. I think Android #21 has a really good chance of being in the game. Maybe she'll be reserved for DLC, but I don't think it's out of the question that she'll make it to the base game. Aside from that, there's also Towa and Mira who have been in pretty much everything lately. They'll probably be DLC.
To put on my thoughts here, I don’t believe the way they’re placing most of these characters will be in negative to how they’ll be placed in the actual game because most of them don’t make sense especially where it is placed in reference to the other characters. I’m sure they’re just doing this to fill out the slots during the Trailer.
Don’t think they care about how popular a character is when deciding the roster. I don’t think people should put so much emphasis on popularity especially when that’s rarely a factor.
Daima dlc on release. Old Moro is going to be insane if he can prevent you from transforming or take your transformation away. He is coming in 2025 or 2026.
I dont think Z Gogeta and Vegito will be split. For one, DBS Vegito doesnt even fight in base. And Z Gogeta really just does the one move. They can easily combine em. Also i see no way that Z Broly isnt in base game
As someone who actually mained Fasha in BT3, I've accepted she's not coming back even as DLC... that being said I will now main Kakunsa! These kind of "Out there" "unpopular" characters are in my opinion what makes BT's roster so special and unique. Plus I do have a soft spot for speedsters in general.

How would they cut GT and DBZ movies when Xenoverse and the last Budokai Tenkaichi done them? They have more of a chance than DBS manga characters, which aren't happening at all
BT3 had 161 characters, SZ has 164 with most of them being newcomers from DBS or variants. Subtract the least likely characters/variants to return from BT3, then replace them with the newcomers, and you have your answer. It removes what-ifs (Oozaru Raditz, Nappa), most of, if not all of the DBZ movies, Arale, the lesser Z characters (Banan, King Cold, Appule, etc.), OGDB, and GT from the equation.
I think what they would/should do is base game is cannon characters ranging from important fights from db to dbz and then finally dbs (possibly manga although that could be a dlc they could release) then adding non cannon story lines and characters as dlc like dbgt and the dbz movies. I would love it if they added dbheroes but i don't think they will, but would be fun cause i like the idea of god trunks and golden cooler.
They're not doing DBS manga. All DB games follow anime. How are people still trying to say that moro, granolah, UE vegeta, and TUI goku are going to be in? Toei is releasing Daima. DBS manga is never being animated and never happening and people should stop whining because Daima was one of the final projects Toriyama himself was excited to work on.
That's because they colored them blue after the manga colors instead green from the anime. But they could change it when the game gets closer to release.
I don't think so because they don't fight, except Brianne who does exactly 1 move. It'd be funny if they did their transformation sequences at the start of battle though.
With BT3 being the blueprint, Sparking Zero at this point should have every major DBS character, including several minor characters. And then GT and OG Dragonball will be kind of extras. I would expect most cuts to be movie and non canon characters
Its really depressing being a movie, GT, and Super Hero fan. Most people seem to agree theyll all be DLC (except SSJ Gogeta which is just less exciting with Blue Gogeta now). Just wish the developers would rip the bandaid off and tell us what parts of Dragon Ball wont be in the base game
I’m just hoping for vast GT content along with Early Dragon Ball, and Super. It’s already clear Z is always gonna have its influence. I want weird Match ups like God of Destruction Lord Lud vs Beerus cause why not.
If we're getting Minus/Super Bardock over Z, then we're probably not going to get a battle stage that recreates the climax of Father of Goku. It's just gonna be a cutscene of Fasha pegging his wife while he watches.
You missed (or chose to cut them) Trunks (Super) and his transformations, Mecha Frieza , King Cold , Evil Buu , Cell.Jr and Saibaman. I think they should be in the game guaranteed imo. I'd personally like Cui (he's kinda confirmed), a random fodder Frieza soldier, Spopovich and even Babidi to make it too.
Goku Black was released for xenoverse 2 before the black arc even started that they had to make a fake voice for sean to preform, so SuperHero is 100% valid
OG Broly has to be in this game he was what got us boys into dbz back in the day, not to mention that sparkling zero is supposed to cater to the old heads of the budokai tenkaichi fans.
@@DerriousGamez what do you mean? DBS pan has already proved to be the better version of pan. DBS pan actually could fight and was not a real damsel in distress. Her being in the game would make more sense than her GT counterpart.

Well Gogeta needs to be split because the Z and Super versions of him are not the same characters, just like the Brolys. As for Vegito, I honestly don't know. I feel a one of the few things can happen. 1. He's just “Vegito” and can transform into SSJ and SSGSS. 2. There is Vegito (Z) and Vegito (Super). Both have which can transform into their respective forms. 3. He's just Vegito, but if you fuse into him using Z-End Goku and Vegeta, SSGSS will be locked out. Personally, I think the last would be the best idea, but we'll see.

@@frostboy1263 exactly their reasoning is gogeta super has super saiyan already and they think that’s not needed. I call bs his moves aren’t exactly the same from fusion reborn. And for Vegito my personal preference is having z vegito and super vegito with his respective forms

And yes i do believe vegito should have a z and super version and not be combined, because that’ll ruin the point of variations especially goku and vegeta end and then super. U might as well have z and super separated and have their forms. Same with gogeta
Do you think they could implement a fusion mechanic where you do a button combination where if you get it right, then you transform into gogeta and if you get it wrong, then you would turn into veku (fat gogeta)?
The reason they could be separated is because the Goku and Vegeta that fuse into FR Gogeta are (Z end) whereas the Broly Gogeta would be fused from Goku and Vegeta (Super).
I get the fear of paying for characters that have been in bt3, BUT, i dont think its a dealbreaker aslong as the base roster is still good, so far im excited
It seems like they're *really* focusing on Super so I think they're also gonna have Jaco, Botamo and Magetta. And call me crazy but I also think they're gonna represent every single universe from the ToP. Right now there's no U3, 4 or 10 fighters, I think the safest bets would be Agnilasa, Ganos and Obni since they're the last ones to get eliminated. I'd love to see Catopesra though, and they could do Monna for U4 because of SS2 Cabba. Also yeah Z Broly is confirmed and has been sneaked in games before like Xenoverse 1. And call me crazy again but I think they might not include base Teen Gohan, also like Xenoverse.
Broly Z is not confirmed, confirmed means they actually showed him to us and said themselves "here he is". He has not been shown yet but I am sure he will be in the game.

Its stupid to consider anything is canon in dbz BT series cuz there is no canon and GT been canon in the series since B3 so GT came long before super as far and canon for the seires. At this point super is canon as much as GT in the DbZBT series….so are the movies cuz ssj3 goku better have super dragon fist…

Great Ape Vegeta is in it which guarantees Yajirobe. Simply his association via being instrumental for the heroes winning in the Saiyan Saga alone makes him necessary to be in the roster. He'll be right next to Hercule among the joke characters.

Kaioken isn't really a transformation its more of a power up that you can do as Goku. So Blue Kaioken Goku will most likely be Blue Goku using Kaioken from his support moves.

@@johnmehlman5195 It lacks weight and the impact is just a small explosion. In Tenkaichi the screen would shake, heavy flashes and the sound was way louder. I hope they fix it. Watch the link for a good comparison.
