It's the BeDragon spell. (Or whatever they call it nowadays.) It turns the user into a dragon, and I think Maya could use it? Or maybe it was just a hero-only thing? XD
@@OmegaDez Nope, it's hers. Only spell that works on the final boss if you don't know what you're doing. (And tends to last only one round when fighting it.)
Maya is so amazingly broken. Not only does she fall slower in midair with every 100 hits you string together in a combo, but her evasion increases AND she can reach 999 hits without ever touching the ground simply with Fan Dango alone. In this one, Sword's Dance for her is the best skill as it does over 700-1300 onnormal damage to nearly all foes. She's one of the toughest characters if you know how to play her and string her combos.
I hope they expand the skills/abilities more if ever they make a DQH3. I was disappointed when I saw the Gladiator skill set. And here I was hoping I could upgrade the Claw skills even more. Hurt Converter is neat though. Good game, btw.
+Animator22 Except they can, Sqaure did that for Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy 12/13. They just didn't care to do that for this game since they know it won't sell THAT well over here. They do however care enough to add (British) voice actors, but that just may be company policy.
Just wow. Meena frees the whole team and Maya is awesome and then there's Alena and Kiryl jumping off a cliff and somehow survive. Did I mention that they also land on their feet? Oh and then there's Alena's hair physics.
They're the daughters of a murdered alchemist, who discovered the 'secret to evolution', which can basically turn humans into monsters--it's the driving point of Dragon Quest IV. One could safely presume this is why Maya attains the BeDragon spell--albeit it's a high-level wizard/sage spell in other series installments, too.
The earliest entries in the Dragon Quest series were really fond of using old English text--thees and thous and such. Later, when the series did remakes for IV, V, and VI, it became a trend to use all manner of European accents--Scottish and Cockney British ranking high among them.
@@hddk6532 In this game, they're plenty of different accents, like Carver, who was a Canadian accent, Meena and Maya Indian, and Alena and Kyryl Russian accents
