Wow....they actually took the time to give the DQ IV characters distinguished accents because their all from different regions in their world. Nice touch. I wonder if Ragnar has a Scottish sounding one.
I'm playing Dragon Quest 4 on my Android, and I feel the need to confirm that Ragnar does, or at least should have a Scottish accent, because he once used the term "laddie".

Bought this game recently and I have no regrets. A really fun hack and slash game with characters from the first Dragon Quest game: Dragon Quest 4 for the Nintendo DS. 🙂Was disappointed that Meena didn't appear in DQH 1, but she appears in DQH 2!🙂😀
This scene made me laugh so hard! Three of my favourite Dragon Quest IV characters in the same scene too! Those dubbers were really pushing it with those accents, weren't they?
I remember the first time playing this. Because I watched the character trailers and reading who was in it, I was like it’s either Maya or Psaro. Immediately, I debunked the latter because he would be fighting us. So once I heard that iconic music and saw Maya dancing, I was like “Hello Maya!” It also confirmed that if a number of characters were from the same game, they know each other. Mainly because they join the party in different time.
Yes... but Aurora is not, as it seemed that she wasn't interested by her advances. But maybe Maya is not bi, let me explain, "handsome" is just a word 4 guys right ? Then the canon story, would be playin' with the boy character
I don't think so, in DQ IV she always expresses A LOT of interest in guys. And when she visits the castle where there are only women her commentary is that "it must be boring without men here" or something of the sort...
While it's true that the word handsome is used mainly to describe good-looking guys, it can also be used to describe women who are good-looking, but not necessarily beautiful or attractive.
@@DylJax In DQ4, they came from a region where the locals had French accents. I always assumed that they would have also had French accents, which I now realize might not be accurate. Regardless of what kind of accent she's supposed to have, it doesn't really change the fact that I think this game did her character dirty.
@@dylans.1741 there seems to be a bit of confusion between ye so let me clarify Yes the place they are from in dqiv is meant to be france but they are not actually Indian but roma (or what ye might know better as ‘Gypsy’ however that name for their ethnicity is actually discriminative) They gypsies were originally from north India but left for Europe in the 14th century developing their own language and culture along the way especially once settling in Europe most of them settled in the balkans and france which is most likely why they chose france as the location they are from And it is even confirmed that meena and maya are gypsies as their battle song is even called ‘gypsy dance’ Hope that helps :)
@@Barbe Eh, we kinda DO know that actually :P In DQ4 (the game Maya comes from), she constantly shows interest in "hot guys", while saying that a castle where there's only women, is "totally boring with no men around".
@@renmax1946 The game she comes from says it. She always comments/swoons about attractive guys around her, and says the castle with only women in it is "boring" because there's no men around.
