Martyn McMurray Yep. Both Alena and Kiryl are depicted as Russian with him calling her Tsarevna which roughly translates to Princess in Russian.

AlonzoM7, do you own a 3DS? If so, DQ8 has been ported to 3DS. I also have a copy. I picked it up because I never got to play it on PS2. Now all I want is for Square Enix to remake sentinels of the starry skies

Alena is by far the best fighter in the Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2 because the games more feel like beat em ups if you play as her

I love this game so much, Great job bringing the characters to life in a Hack and Slash approach. With the hundreds of hours I've spent playing, I'm only sad that there are no updates giving a little bit of customization control on costume colors or even a Map Editor. A masterpiece like this should be given a little more flexibility to make the game more popular. The Weapons are fun, But why not be given the ability to at least customize the colors and texture appearance of them, If a weapon editor is too complicated.

I think my main problem with Alena's..... GOD AWFUL voice over is that it sounds like an older woman trying to imitate a young girl. I always saw Alena as like... I dunno, 17 or 18? Why does her voice sound like a 30 year old pretending to be a teen?

I just wish they add Japanese Audio for free, I can't handle dollar store voice actor that do terrible accent and sound racist. I cringe for the whole dialog in the video.
