@@kenady5052RIGHT? I love this one more than the Symphonic, but granted, I did play the vanilla before the definitive, but its not just that, this one is more fast paced, and IDK but the fast pace just put me more in a rush than the newer version.
I will say the symphonic version is better, but the synthesized version isn’t as bad as people say. The faster tempo makes it fit more with some of the boss fights, especially in act 2, since that’s when it gets tricky.
Good god half these comments are hate comments. Can you people chill? Acting like this piece took human form and slaughtered your dog. It's not that bad.
Yeah I’m not really understanding where all of the hate is coming from, it’s not supposed to be pleasing to the ears I think it more encapsulates the feeling of a frantic battle more than anything. And even with the constant changes in the songs flow I didn’t think it was that bad. Or maybe I’m just looking way too deep into it.
Longtime fans will inevitably compare this to Monsters, but the thing is Monsters adds a modicum of rhythm to the composition, making it easy to memorize individual verses which get stuck in one’s head for like a year after finishing Dragon Quest VI, lol, while this feels more formulaic than it ought to be for a melodic representation of chaos. Of course, any valid criticisms could be more tactful, yeah… >w
