Beautiful work. Curious, how do the plates in the air variable get damaged ? Just in general. Kids poking inside, or anomalous operation of the amplifier ? Never in hurry for excellence.
Abuse , an open on output /high swr which would cause the rf voltage to skyrocket Always refer to the owners manual for proper output , tuning and load impedance parameters and will have years of trouble free service . This goes for any power amplifier
