I love how they just keep laughing at RPG conventions all the time. Mikhail: But Zerooo, we have to go on boring ass a quest to look for information to progress. Zero: Fuck it.
This is hilarious! The sweet looking girl with the flower is a heartless killer. While the big ugly ferocious dragon is really a big soft kind-hearted baby. I love it :-) Especially when the party walks in on the dragon taking a dump, lol... Oh, and does anyone else think the dragon sounds an awful lot like Emil???
Well, Dragons in Drakengard can revive when killed, but their personality doesn't carry over. Micheal died and was reborn as Mikhail. So Mikhail acts like a little kid.
Not even going to sugarcoat it, Dito became my second favorite. Especially after Cent joins your team. He annoys the shit out of me and the fact that Dito constantly wants to punch him, as well as him being silly in general, makes him loveable. Sadly... I have Mikhail's personality. I just don't piss on the spot when someone yells at me, or take nasty shits like that. XD Octa is good for a comedy relief with his constant innuendos, as is Decadus with his not-so-hidden fetishes. >_>'
Cent is also the reason why Two is BATSHIT INSANE! And Two is probably the only 'Normal' one her problem was she cared too much and wanted to protect everyone, Four is Genocidal to non-humans and twists things to suit her mind set like thinking of Elven Refugees as Pirates so she doesn't feel bad about killing men, women, and children that are running to get away, Five just likes sex, food, and she might like drugs if she knows what drugs are plus she might as well follow Slaanesh. (If you know who Slaanesh is than you know what I mean)
Interestingly, Zero is a great representation of my personality. I'm just usually less mean and more steely, but we talk the same way, hold the same expression, are similarly libidinous and coarse, and we're both very brusque. I'm also a bit of a troll and somewhat prone to violence. It's not a good thing. It's served me well some times, gotten me out of trouble, helps when dealing with tough bastards, but it really hurts when trying to forge bonds with people and they just think you're a callous jerk. I think it's easier to get away with as a man, though, because there's a social allowance for men to swear and berate that women just aren't allowed.
No It's just this the first time I saw Some one actually chose to NOT fight the uberly powerful hero who just slaughtered entire armies...That's Hilarious to me
Well I dunno does he turn into a truck to sell shit that price is so low that you need a great sword to slash them more? I don’t think so! Plus the emils boss was kinda nice
@@returnedtomonkey8886 he got reason, it's sad because he ... "they" forget that reason. If Emil didn't loose himself while he was making copy of him, things will be less painful i think
I'm glad it didnt, 3 had serious tonal dissonance and kind of felt like it shit on the series it was a part of especially when you compare it to the unrivaled in atmosphere demented drakengard 1, automata works much better with slight comedy sprinkled in here and there mainly in side quests cause it both helps prevent tonal dissonance but also makes when they happen that much funnier. Frankly romeos and juliets is the funniest thing in this entire franchise hands down. Honestly might be one of the hardest laughs ive had in general.
it's more emotional than this...this game had the best comedy moments XD but boy nier will snap your heartstrings off (they are a few segments...especially with 9S)
jsh020 It's well known that Taro tries not to make the exact same game twice. To compare Automata to D3 so critically would be a HUGE disservice to what both games were trying to go for thematically. Not only are they their own games, but they're practically polar opposites. It's like comparing paper to plastic. I always say D3 plays out more so like a tragic comedy. To be fair, it wasn't meant to be as depressing as the other installments because you're laughing nearly the entire time from all of the dark humour and hilarious, 4th wall-breaking endeavors the characters find themselves in. Automata, on the other hand, has you experiencing tragedy all of the time with few bits of comedic relief thrown in here and there. I won't say D3 is without its serious, deep moments though when it does have them. Whenever tragedy did strike or one of the main characters died off in an ending I still cried like a baby. There's just this lonely, uncanny melancholy associated with the game's atmosphere that makes it just as depressing as the other games when you take all of the pre-existing joy away. D3 isn't that upfront with the darker aspects of the story because the characters choose to conceal their worries amongst laughter. It's literally the definition of smiling through pain and heartache. Each character has some moral dilemma that they hide behind a facade of happiness or content which is why D3 strikes me so well. People just choose to look at this game at face value and for the unusual comedy and somewhat clunky gameplay and completely dismiss it which sucks. There's a lot of deeper meaning behind the lore of the game -- it's just not as apparent or out in the open as other Taro games usually make it. D3 probably felt distant with several players such as yourself because I can agree the humor might be slightly slapstick at times which, understandably, will be hit-or-miss with a select audience. What one person finds amusing or funny is purely subjective. I, however, had a blast with and enjoyed the entirety of it. The constant waves of humor (for me personally) was, in a sense, refreshing as opposed to the dark and morbid nature of the franchise's universe. For once, you get to play a Yoko Taro game without weeping every 5 seconds. It's honestly the most light-hearted title in the series...which is ironic, given the context of the game's base setting.
The Fairy King. Oberon. Crap. If Zero crossed over and saw Oberon (in the SAO sense), she would castrate him, stab him repeatedly, and would mutilate him beyond recognition before killing him in the typical Zero fashion. That would be hilarious to see.
