Why do some Senators NOT pay attention when their colleagues are talking or presenting a motion. Most of them are not paying attention, look away and walk around unconcerned. Do we really need these dishonorable men.
They are not even listening to the senator speaking. At the end they will vote and pass rubbish. Most of their bill or cases or should i say matters are pre determined. They just ask for the cash
The we picture is far from perfect, but I am really happy to see this strong reaction from the senate regarding the recent sabotaging of our energy sector by local and foreign back actors. This sends a strong message and I hope our law makers back up the talk with serious action.
Senator Oshomole ,thank you sir, I now understand you remember your good old days as an indefatigable and a true leader of the labour union s in the country ,tell the house the truth but nothing the truth, defend and put the country back on the right track, the LORD is with you amen.do not relent for these purpose you have been elected as a senator, teach them, coach them until they know the truth and embrace it,remain bless.
The nnpc is directly or indirectly responsible for hardship in this country. They don't remit dollars, the hardly make gains for the country... We buy fuel at exorbitant prices, yet nnpc officials smile home with cash at the expense of Nigerians..
Don't be surprised that most of them are complicit including the motion movers, speakers, senate president and the executives. The debates are only meant to fulfill all righteousness.
I am worried that while a very serious matter as this is being discussed at the floor of the Senate, some members of the same senate walk about and some holding private discussions.
I wonder why some senators are busy walking around the chamber while meeting is going on. senate is like market place ie alaba market, eko market or idumuota market.no orderliness
Nigeria has started happening to Dangote. If it were a Southerner it will never be discussed on floor or Senate. Dangote, should learn to compete like every other Nigerian. I have said it break up this country. If oil in the South dries up, North will leave Nigeria, imagine gold in Zamfara is from Zamfara alone, but oil in the South is for the whole Nigeria. Una yeye dey smell. Break up this country.to. save lives.
Wise up pls! North and south dichotomy only exist in the mind of poor Nigerian masses. The elites belong to one family! They don't know about north and south dichotomy, they only used it when the need arise , that's to pursue their own selfish ambition . While semi educated masses like you will do the fight on their behalf! Hope uzodinma will consider dangotes son more of his own than you , that share the same region and tribe with him. What happen during wigwes burial ceremony should served as lesson to we the Nigerian masses
Sorry the game is older than Buhari's govt, They slowly killed the refinery, through fake TAM, and slowly but surely we started importing our own product and paying for the export to refine the oil. Dangote was also told he was entering a territory that belonged to multinationals and the empire. Nigeria's problem has both been internal and external. Buhari was a puppet like every other president, they were thinking they were incharge but were tools to their puppeteers.
Most of the northern senators that are benefiting are not interested in this bill. Unfortunately, Dangote is also a northerner. I wish Dangote is from the south.
Dangote should compete fairly, he has been enjoying the privilege of sole distribution/supplier for too long. Allow others to compete fairly for Nigerians to pay a fair price petroleum products. Imagine he still controls the price of cement, doesn’t mean we are paying a fair price.
Dangote don't have issues with competing bro, which other nigeria owned refinery are you suggesting he compete with ? , matter under discussion suggest licence is being issued to individuals to continue to import Diesel into the country at expense of our economy, importers will have put more pressure on Naira in sourcing for dollar to Import Diesels while we have a local Dangote rifinery producing locally. We must change our ways of doing things and be patriotic if we want our country to go out of all these mess we're facing
@@abdulkadirmohammed770so you want one refinery to monopolize the price of diesel what if something happens to it or it needs repair so the entire country will shut down. Let him sell his products cheaper than the imported then everyone will go for his own
I think there's a thin line between avoiding a monopoly and growing the economy. Yes, Dangote has started producing diesel but then NNPC that is the "sole importer" of the products also has a stake in Dangote refinery. So why are they still issuing import licenses? It's either corruption or they know something we dont know
Valid point that if Dangote refinery goes down for whatever reasons, what do we do? The Refinery already has storage facilities that can hold a strategic reserve for Nigeria so the Nigerian govt can begin to hold reserves there. So, I think we should immediately stop these importation as the govt and NNPC have enough to avoid a monopolistic pricing from Dangote while we hopefully await the resumption of other refineries soonest
You guys are right but when Nigerians are fighting you to buy our local made cars in order to improve the Nigerian economy you guys refused. You are also part of the Nigerian problem
That's the reason why I will never see any of them as honorable, rather Dishonored men who enriched themselves with the pains and suffering of it's citizens.
Edo Modular Refinery was built to supply 25% of the nations diesel needs. It took almost 2 yrs after completion to receive it's first crude load by road. Imagine that!
Very disgusting, see how they are moving around, shaking hands and discussing. I think it will be proper if they all sit down and listen. Even we the citizens will be proud of them
If imported fuel is cheaper than the one produced in Nigeria, I will encourage such how can imported fiuek all far away from sweden and Norway will be cheaper. Local refinery is mot serious.
The kind of power given to NNPC is way beyond any minister. What the Senates are doing is part of their responsibilities, and the minister should be questioned if there's any. I don't even think Nigeria has a minister of petroleum.
It is a No1 shame on Tinubu that Dangote is struggling to get crude oil supply in Nigeria, smtn we all know will lead to reduction in prices of PMS and AGO....#spits
I don't think so is you barred others from importing diesel dangote with start fixing price as he like, as he did with cement and other of his goods they should give him crude but also allow who want to import to import
This thing didn't start today, why are they talking ill of this particular diesel import labeling it bad. Something fishy is and they're not telling us all there's.
The day Nigeria ceases to power their motor vehicle with fuel n drive fully on electric or other non fossil fuel based options, is when NNPC will loose their relevance.
All these talk shows are not important. Who is the Petroleum Minister? Let them call the names of the iimporters.Cheap talk. Nothing will come out of it.
They are all joking . All top management of NNPC must be sent home and NNPC investigated and convicted executives thrown in jail ! That is the only way to fix Nigeria . These talks will not help anybody.
Exactly my brother dangote is the problem he want them to barred others from importing to that he will be the only one to start fixing price as he like , like he is doing with cement and others
You want to give monopoly to your friends, cronies and proxies? Why not allow the local refineries win over the market by offering lower prices since they do not have importation and landing cost elements? When did we sign on for a communist economy? Competition is how economies that work are developed
You guys know all of them they are all your friends, you all party together, laff at the masses together. So non of you can deceive us.. mak una jst dey play
These honourables are pretending ignorance but they are stakeholders in this scheme. Simply Buhari sold Nigeria into slavery to fund his excessive and the house supported it.
Divide the country to progress. You are only talking stealing money. This is not a language that exists in Nigeria. Stop excluding your citizens in decisions due to colonial language.
