@@ginger6readspaceman well if we go off The Hobbit movies, he did return to people auctioning off his possessions and home since they presumed he was dead and/or missing and people didn't really believe him when he said he was hired to help the Dwarves, so he was certainly sad and angry when he returned.

In all fairness, a hobbit who rides on a boat, let alone a *ship*, is also considered to be weird by typical hobbit standards.

Lol, yeah it’s darker, I used to read the manga a lot in middle school. It still had a lot of wholesome stuff in it too though! From what I remember it usually only got dark during the final villain battles though, so over all not too bad! It usually didn’t have much blood!

Haunter lifted his…soul, or consciousness, or something…out of his body after a falling chandelier knocked him out, but a little later Brock and Misty were begging him to wake up and I gotta think at least Brock would know to check for a pulse. And then when he goes back into his body it doesn’t seem to have been damaged by lack of oxygen, so he must have been breathing. I always thought it was just an out-of-body experience. …Then again none of the kids (Brock included) thought of checking for a pulse a few episodes previously when they were all on that raft and Pidgeotto had just fished Team Rocket out of the ocean…
