Drawing Mark Making and Texture- Drawing Exploring Surface 

This is part of a series of videos with worksheets made for pupils. We have previously looked at volume through tone and directional line, how to achieve proportions and now consider how we use mark making to describe surface.
This video focuses on using a source image to draw a series of leaves, looking at mark making and tone. The initial image is provided yet the artists are encouraged to use their earlier knowledge of proportion to sketch the shape before adding tone and mark making. This isn’t about copying directly, but interpretation.
