This video introduces how artists refer to work which has gone before. It looks at Delft ceramics and we develop a floral element lifting elements from multiple sources. The subject is floral yet the principles of this task can apply to other subject matter.
To generate the repeat you can use a photocopier, but I mock up the design in PowerPoint with further development in Photoshop.
