Really missing Felix's commentary! Don't realize how much of a main cast member he is when someone isn't there to tease Laura for a mis-cut! Dan did a great job with the camera work. Get well soon, FeFe!

Right. Felix's little comments, even a single geil, helps create the feeling that we are right there with them.

Agreed, I had the same sentiment that something was missing right away and Laura didn't really have someone to play some of her commentary off of. I think Felix sort of snuck up on me and I didn't appreciate his value in the storytelling like I do now, by his absence. I'm also glad Dan didn't try to be a pseudo-Felix and he did excellent camera work, as you said.

Dust extraction is not only for the benefit of your health, but also to prolong saws lifetime. Cutting anything that kicks up fine mineral(rock, gypsum, clay etc) dust can damage the motor over time. The motor sucks up air around it and small particles become an abrasive that damages the coating on the anchor which causes a short. I wouldn't have said anything, if you were using a cheap saw meant to die on this project, but you seem to be using one of your favorite festools for everything around the house, so I thought you might want to know.
@amreiloose1952

I don't know if you've talked about this in your videos before but i think clay dust isn't super healthy when inhaled, so it's probably best to wear a mask when cutting it :)

A good point. At 83 my grandmother had a heart attack. We knew she would soon have another that would kill her. She came out of hospital to spend her last weeks in her daughter's sitting room. She was told not to lock the toilet door for accessibility. Of course, independent to the last, she had her second heart attack in that toilet. They had to remove the doorframe to open the door. That toilet was under the stairs, so removing drywall wasn't an option. It took them twenty minutes to reach her. In Granny's case, she was ready to die. Other people need unexpected intervention.

I hope we’ve gotten to you in time- have you considered making the under-window shelving to follow the same lines as the angled timber and not to connect it at 90° angles? It’s an interesting angle- play it up especially if your “windows” will follow it too!

Are you concerned about the moisture coming from the bathroom? I know it shouldn't be huge for a simple washroom, but if you plan to continue this upstairs (and I think you should because the Tudor-esque styling of the exposed beams is amazing and mega geil) it may behoove you to plan for that eventuality. I know clay adsorbs some, but I'm slightly concerned for you, and for others who might take up this building method in future. The hydronic heat in the area also causes some concern that perhaps the bathroom may become too dry and will crack.
@andreasvogler1875

If you made some aluminium frames for the windows and then put frosted glass on both sides, you could put LED strips between the sheets of glass and have lighting for both the toilet and the hallway and the aluminium frames would act as heat sinks for the LEDs. You could use tunable white and/or RGB LED strips and simulate daylight for more inside/outside confusion.

I'm appreciative of this video & love the progress, angles, footage. I'm just incredibly sensitive to camera movement. It's a style, I know. But it makes me nauseous quickly. I don't know how or why but it's connected to my sensitivity to sound volume & abruptness. I need the narrative volume to match or be greater volume than filler/background music & have similar cadence & tempo; basically I have an internal "urge" to turn it (music) down when the talking stops or turn it (narrative) up when the music fades. Otherwise it heightens a sense of anxiety. My partner doesn't have this and is perfectly unaffected. Wish it wasn't so but it is how I'm wired. Just saying in case anyone else relates. Oh, and I love you Laura, and Felix, Smuda, and your whole crew. Such delightful, warm, natural, and real human energy. And congratulations!💒👩‍❤‍👩👭🏳‍🌈🥂🎉
