A dream machine tutorial and gymnastics tutorial and still rings tutorial on how to make and use a dream machine which is a belt, cable and pulley system that reduces your body weight to help learn and make strength skills for the still rings easier and this machine is also called a Power Monkey Ring Thing and in this video I explain and go over skills starting at the very basic for beginners (including dips, pull ups, muscle ups, front and back lever and tucked planche) and continue through elements including a legs together or full planche, maltese, iron cross, inverted iron cross, backward roll or Azarian work and a victorian cross and this video is for coaching and how to coach and learning and how to learn men's gymnastics or mens gymnastics and also calisthenics and bodyweight fitness and filmed at All American Gymnastics in Ocean Township NJ or New Jersey (HOW TO LEARN A BACK TUCK TUTORIAL • HOW TO LEARN TO DO A B... HOW TO LEARN A BACK HANDSPRING TUTORIAL • HOW TO LEARN TO DO A B... ) . My channel has videos on men's gymnastics and women's gymnastics (tutorials, workouts and training clips), fitness (including bodyweight fitness, calisthenics, crossfit and bodybuilding), parkour and free running, cheer and cheerleading, circus (aerial silks and fabrics, some tutorials and training clips from NJ Circus Center), a little tricking and breakdancing, GoPro POV shots, vlogs and other things that I might like to share. I came here to look at using a dream machine once more before buying the stuff to make one for myself. Started doing maltese planche cross etc using resistance bands but i really want to crack it up without bands and i am really wondering if i can manage all these skills with half my bodyweight 😄😄 so excited

So my parts arrived and i built it and seems I'll be able to do most strength skills like this with my current strength level. Not really enough space in my flat to try everything properly but i will try it out outside tomorrow. Super excited!!!

Hi, again. Can you demonstrate a V-Sit on rings using your Dream Machine? I understand that one's center of gravity is altered with it, however, because you are so talented, it would make a great instructional video. Thank you.

Hey sorry but I recently retired from coaching and the gym I work out a little bit at doesn't have this set up. The V-sit might be a little weird in the dream machine but I don't think I ever tried one in it so I'm not totally sure (sorry)

Hi, again. I always enjoy your training videos. At 70 years old and 206 lb., I'm elated that I can now, with the Dream Machine, do iron crosses /pullouts and planches in sequences. I'm now working on a hallowback(bent arm straight body) press. My question is holding the handstand with the Dream Machine harness. The balance seems much different than what I remember on regular rings. Can you offer any guidance? Thanks alot.

Hey, the balance is off on handstands in the dream machine I think because where the clips clip onto the belt might not be exactly on the sides. Even when they do seem to be pretty much on the sides, the handstand is still kind of off and I usually am planched a little (it can be hard to get really straight upside down, also on inverted cross work). So it's not you lol, and maybe just try and work around it the best you can and good luck!

Empecé por comprarme un arnés de construcción,ya tenía las anillas y conseguí todo lo demás. Luego me fabriqué un arnés más liviano con tela de cinturón de seguridad de autos. El problema que veo en La ejecución de ese Muscle up,maestro es que lo está haciendo muy abierto,con un movimiento antinatural para La ejecución del Ring Muscle up. Que debería ser acercando las anillas al pecho y abriéndolas hacia atrás post zambullida para una ejecución correcta. De hecho La Dream Machine está pensada para poder hacer los mismos movimientos en forma atenuada (ya que maneja el 50% menos de mí peso corporal) pero en forma correcta. Sino..que sentido tendría si después no podría ejecutar dichos movimientos ya sin La ayuda extra de La Dream Machine? Sin contar que podría dislocarme un hombro,lesionándome el manguito rotador por ejemplo. No sé..es mi humilde opinión. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷🙋🏽‍♂️

I’m new to gymnastics rings, but I am interested in working towards advanced skills. When should a dream machine be incorporated into training or how do you program for this on your own?

You can start using a dream machine whenever you want. You can start off with some high chin ups and low dips and then some muscles ups, along with some baby cross pull out work and some bent arm/eventually straight arm tucked planche work. But I would spend more time on the actual rings doing some dips, tuck holds and then L seats, front supports with arms straight and rings parallel or even a little turned out, and some smaller cross pull outs.
