Dreamcatcher 'Boca' MV+Dance Video REACTION | I love their aesthetic! 

Yes, Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("A trick behind a mask, a ridiculous freak" from Scream). Boca has the line "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome!

Dreamcatcher's choreographer is brilliant, just like everyone else on their team! They're really known for the imagery and constant formation shifts in their dances, as well as just generally how powerful, sharp, and FAST they are.

Basically, Dystopia Trilogy is about what happens in the social media nowadays; cyberbullying act around the world, especially in the Kpop Industry itself...too many toxic people spreading hate & being mean...in the end, the cyberbully victims commit suic*de coz they not able to fight back,as mentioned in BOCA "too many angels dying now, I'm gonna change your mind"...each of the song represent '3 Wise Monkey' Japanese Proverb (kind of), "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"...Scream = Hear No Evil....BOCA (Mouth) = Speak No Evil....Odd Eye = See No Evil...

The girl with the pink hair is Gahyeon, the maknae. Dreamcatcher do have 7 members but Handong was missing from this MV (as well Scream) as she was stuck in China for quite a while due to Covid travel restrictions (she comes from Wuhan)

This is Part 2 of the Dystopia Trilogy, themed Speak No Evil (the rest are Hear No Evil - Scream - and See No Evil - Odd Eye.) It follows the pattern of denouncing the evils of the cyber-world, that lead us to Dystopia. It talks about cyber bullying, harassment, cancelling culture, malicious gossip and hate speech and how toxic and easily-triggered people should shut their bocas. In S. Korea more than 30 celebrities and idols have commited suicide in the last 20 years, mainly because of cyber bullying and constant harassment. The song was released in 2018, when 2 idols had died, after horrible online harassment by their own "fans" because they said or did something people didn't like, or loved another celebrity. The pressure and harassment on and offline can be so great, and the false rumors so devastating, that the victims can't cope. The main blame falls on some "journalists" who create attack campaigns for clicks. And they seem to celebrate when these well-paid idols die. Another culprit are the largest K-Pop companies, which never protect their artists and distance themselves in the first sight of malicious or fake rumours. One of the latest victims was the famous F(x) member Sulli, an outspoken person for anti-bulling and women's rights. 6 weeks later, her best friend, former KARA member Goo Hara followed. The toxic fandom culture in Korea can be so bad, that many people suffer because of this. Dreamcatcher denounce that and stand by the victims with Scream and BOCA. The lyrics "Too many angles dying now. I'm gonna change your mind. So I can breath again" says it all.

Dreamcatcher has seven members, but here (and in Scream) there are only six; Handong was filming a TV series in China (called Youth with You 2) when the pandemic broke out, and wound up stuck over there for a year. Personally, I think that most of the Dystopia series has _less_ of that feel than their earlier releases. It follows on from their collaboration with King's Raid with Deja Vu (which you've seen now 😉)...

DREAMCATCHER BOCA: In the MV there are two sides of each member. A good side and a bad side. I think the good side is taking place in the past before the dystopia began and the girls were good and protecting the tree. It shows how the world and the girls were before.And the bad sides of them are taking place in the present. Also I recognized all bad happenings are shown with the color red. The tree that was hurt. The girls who become evil. The tapes of the statues and the room where Sua stands.In the beginning a person behind a mask can be seen holding a phone in his hands. The mask represents the anonomity and the phone cybermobbing. The person represents people in society who want to hurt you by words.So each member is attacked by these evil words and this can be seen in many scenes. Dami who is offended by the creatures while she is standing on a podest. Though all are reaching out for her she can not be hurt. As well in the scene where hands behind her try to hurt her but can't as a material is between them.Siyeon stands in the center of sculptures facing her trying to offend her with words. But just like Dami Siyeon can't be attacked since red tapes are covering their mouths.Yoohyeon is placed in between many raindrops who seem to have stopped falling down. Raindrops actually stand for the victims of hate.Also she is shooting herself in the place with the raindrops with a crossbow from the place where she is already bad. Representing the fact that the evil language of the Dystopia is able to change people to the point that they can hurt themselves as a consequence of hate.As Yoohyeon, Dami and Siyeon, Gahyeon also tries to defeat the hate by covering her ears and closing her eyes to ignore and shut out the evil.Jiu walks by the masked person avoiding to get hurt. Sua stands in a red room. As I already mentioned red stands for evilness. The walls of the room are covered with bad and evil words. And the room doesn't seem stable. Sua herself looks confused and lost. But as the other girls she finds a way to defeat the hate: by finding and opening a door.So in conclusion: could the girls defeat the evil? We don't know. Since we see Gahyeon crying it could end bad. And the tree is still sick. The evilness is still spreading.But we don't know yet. Because like Scream it's an open ending. And just as in the Scream MV we see a mask lying on the floor covered with evil words. The tree of the three of language thats what they call it, Scream, Boca, Odd Eye so the Era of the Utopia ends (Symbolic of hear no evil (Scream) , speak no evil (Boca) , see no evil (Odd Eye) This tree determines the whole world. As Jiu mentioned in an interview: the tree wears good fruits when people say good things and wears bad fruits when people say bad things. And as we can tell by the phrase: the world now is evil. I guess Gahyeon caused this since she touched the crystal in Scream which probably is the heart of the tree and then the tree who might keeps the balance in this world disrupted it. Also she wears the mask which can be seen in Boca too. It represents the fact of the evil one hiding and due to that she can't be identified as the one who caused this. Also everyone points at her in one scene showing she is the cause of the dystopia.All people living in this world are becoming evil. It's the beginning of a dystopia
