I have the exact same problem with my 359 type 5. The "regular" 359 has even more ball bearings and seems more stable.

got a 3000 that has wiggle with the bits/accesories but still the main threaded shaft is rock solid, the only "solution" is to place the bits as close you can, still amuses me older dremel 1000 that i got lasted for 8 years withouth problems

Nice , I'll be. Carving then it will start vibrating, it the bits backing out . The asanding drum looks lik an Allen wrench now.

You can hear the vibration on start up. How would tape on the housing help the internal wear of a ball bearing?

There was no internal wear on the bearing. Plastic wears before metal. All I did was pack out the housing

Why don't you put all the loose parts in a magnetic bowl or something like that, I am almost go crazy. A lost part creates enormous problems. Otherwise a good and enjoyable film. Does the Dremel still work?

Still works, sometimes I use a mag tray, mostly not.

Have a 2 month old Draper that's got exactly the same problem. Seems the housing wears away or just not tooled properly. Thanks for the tip,just about to give it a go
