To all the set designers, costume desigenrs, concept artists and whatever other titles of the pople that worked behind the scenes to relize this world: We see you and appreciate the hell out of you!
Ridiculous that HBO refused to post the full BTS videos on youtube. Only tiny clips. You have to have HBO max to watch the full ones and some international versions they are flat out not available to watch.
His house was amazing. I loved when they were announced for the wedding ceremony. They walked inn like bosses. It also seems as if they are the only couple that truly love each other. Their chemistry is amazing. Can’t wait to see more of them in the upcoming episodes.
@@haychlc not to mention he could’ve killed her before doing the c section, because she was still going to die anyway. i heard c section is a last resort when a mother is already dead so basically they can still deliver the baby well even tho she’s already dead- but this weakass b!tch really need her to feel the fcking pain and see her suffer.
I really love everything about Driftmark they brought it to life in a much better way than I imagined. Bravo! HBO & everyone behind this amazing show 👏
Really makes you understand how much so many places in Westeros have fallen from glory, and not just cuz the show didn't do most places justice. Even in the GoT books, Driftmark and House Velaryon and basically a backwater. They lost everything in the Dance.
I love Daemon but Corlys is on another level! What a charismatic actor! But seriously the cast this year for the main characters is amazing. Like even rhea who we see in only one scene and does git me invested!
Lord Corlys is my guy. I love that he's a self-made millionaire and nothing was given to him that he didn't earn. They crack me up talking about his pride. I hope if they decide to do a show based on his 9 voyages that they will let Steve narrate the show and possibly even make an appearance as the older Lord Corlys. Also, that Driftmark throne room chair is probably my second favorite throne room chair along with the one in Dragonstone that Daenerys Targaryen sat on.
@@Me-qp8vz ok…I definitely confess I haven’t read any of the books. I was merely going by what the actor said and how he appears on the show. On the show they portray him like he’s worked hard for everything he’s received and nothing was given to him.
He made his house the richest of all Westeros. But he definitely didnt start from the bottom. House Velaryon was a powerful noble house long before Corlys became its head.
My only complaint with this series is that we have not been given enough time with the Velaryons. Because they are amazing and I want to know everything!
Driftmark is by far the most spectacular place we’ve seen so far! I kept rewinding to catch all the details. Like ooOhhh what’s that?!! I want all this stuff in my living room🤣❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Little things like this are what separates this show and the legendary Lord of the Rings trilogy and other fantasy shows. This world feels lived in. You have these props, most of which do not end up on camera but they don't need to. They help tell a story without saying anything. You get a sense of history. Even seeing the set in the behind the scenes, take the cameras out, it feels like a real place. And you can see the joy in Steve Toussaint's face as he makes up the back stories of all the objects. It's the little things like that that add up in the end. Hats off to the props department and all the work that they do.
When i saw the throne's room in this episode, i was amazed by the beauty of it. All those precious things make it a mini museum and for that, for the pleasure of our eyes and the immersion it gives to us, thanx to all the people who worked on it ! Your talent deserves to be saluted....
Its currently in development. Hard to say if it will be greenlit or not. The most likely to be greenlit live action show right now seems to be Nymerias 10,000 ships show. Which would be amazing. I am also looking forward to the golden city of YiTi animated show they are working on.
It's incredible, the amount of thought, care, and effort that went into these background pieces that just add so much life and history to the world. Massive kudos to everybody involved.
Absolutely mind blowing. Such amazing artistry. It really is some of the overlooked details like these treasures that can bring a set and a story together. As an artist myself, I can Absolutely see how much time and effort went into each of these pieces and I'm awed by how amazing they all look. Each and every one of them. With the world of Game of Thrones, it's really go big or go home and these guys went HUGE! They nailed it! Be proud of your work guys!! Much love and appreciation from a fellow artist and mega fan! ❤
Now if we could only somehow see Highgarden in its true glory unlike what shown by D&D I will be very happy. That castle is said to be the most beautiful in all the seven kingdoms.
@@sumantachakraborty4619 last seasons of GOT never happened in the books so there is no source material for Snow show it definetely will be a dumb idea there is a lot source materials waiting for new shows for example Aegons conquest, Nymerias story, Sea Snake, Roberts rebellion, Blackfyre rebellion Jaehaerys the first's reign and more...
Would love to have a living room like Driftmark's throne room that's real cool, spiral stairs, big fireplace, wide windows, lots of seabeast artefacts like a Viking museum too. Dream house lol
As much as Corlys is an accomplished and impressive man, *Self Made* is the wrong term to describe him. Corlys' endeavours are made possible by the fact that he was born into one of the greatest houses in Westeros, plus his Valyrian ancestry puts him in the 3%. He's great, but his family has money.
@@Me-qp8vz Also this!!! Not to mention, to keep her in the Princess lifestyle Rhaenys has been accustomed to. Nothing but the best for a Targaryen Princess 😀
I mean since his voyages, the Velaryons are the richest even surpassing the Tyrells, Lannisters and Hightowers. But like 96% of the wealth was robbed during the sack of high tide, Driftmark and spicetown by myrish sellsswords during the Dance. But they are still involved in the current story, but also it’s a child lord they have now, making them even very weak.
This was a joy to watch, a very interesting backstory and life to corlys velaryon and his house. Looking forward to more of him and his family on house of the dragon for the foreseeable future, and on his potential spinoff series.
This what i love about the thrones universe. I remember a friend who got to work on GoT from start to finish. Making the best money she every made in her life. The amount of artists that are living the dream here make me so happy.
Brilliant issue! This series has already reached, and in some ways exceeded the golden age of the Game of Thrones show right from the get-go! People seem to forget that the original show had quite the slow start
