Question: Do you feel like it would be a good idea to tumble them one last time to smooth out the hole after drilling? Or... would you want to drill them first and then tumble? Mind you they do look nice the way you have done them.
amazingly enough neither "AM ROCK TUMBLING" nor anyone else has bothered to answer your query from what i can see here; he's using what's referred to as a 'ROTARY TOOL', in the case made by the DREMEL co. ((a standard for beginners, amateurs & professionals) although there are OTHER makes such as WORX (MAKER X) et al. the model as you can see @ 9:43 is the "MULTIPRO". dremel is VERY dependable & well made with a range of models & accessories to fit your needs & budget. MANY hardware outlets e.g. ACE, LOWES & HOME DEPOT stock it although you MIGHT find it cheaper online (i'm not sure). just apply a bit of due diligence & you can set yourself up with the basic(s) for well under $100 & with proper usage & care these things will last a lifetime. they're actually 'heirloom quality'. good luck.
you neglected to apprise those newbie viewers of EXACTLY what tool you're using; one shouldn't have to depend on catching that 5 second glimpse. also, would rather have listened to the sound of the ACTUAL process than the music. provide links to anything you mention you purchased online too.
